If he did make the comments I agree there's no criminal act but you'd have to wonder WTF he was thinking by saying that to another adult....who is a woman....and a reporter. And in that case I really wouldn't have much sympathy for him. And the fact that there was already a kiddie porn arrest in connection with his foundation adds a lot more smoke. The police/FBI have to go into his house and seize what they need. They typically have mobile computer forensics labs...it is hardly discreet and there probably isn't a great way to make it so. I understand, and I think that's a valid point. I also think that considering the nature of the investigation and potential charges, more discretion could be observed in the process of gathering evidence. I probably don't need to add this, but if he is guilty of possessing child porn, his reputation is the least thing that ought to be trashed. I know it may border on creepy, but I would bet we have all said something to that effect, doesn't in any way indicate our desire to do anything, just commenting on how they look. Yeah but...he's a public figure who makes his living being a public spokesman and he was speaking to a female reporter. And he was really creepy.
