NoSaint Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 The drop off in talent at skill set positions during the season and before make keeping 2 FB's appealing and more reasonable then keeping a backup OL. OL on the practice squad learns the position and the plays and can step in to the roster when there is an injury. I'd as soon keep Connor and Felton then a 4th OG, a 4th ILB or 6th WR. I foretold of this prophecy a few years ago watching the likes of Spiller and other backs effectively lose contributions to the game and the outcome. When Blount tore up the Bills and the post season a few years ago i was sure. As teams DB's have got smaller, as tackles are all now low and avoiding the head and as teams continue to try and use box safeties to hold the run while the MLB position has been mitigated to a serviceable position we are on the precipice of seeing big, low running, powerful backs make key plays to break defenses. Teams that will sustain the run this year early to defeat the D in the first half will have much better luck in the second. This also needs reminding: the run game is much more dynamic then the passing game. I don't care how many routes your guys can run or what crazy formations you lineup. Nothing beats a good runner who can go between the tackles and get up field. The same pass play can be run 100 times and have 5 different possibilities, more or less. But the same run can vary 100 times because the factors are all much different. Nothing beats a good RB. Nothing will be better for a team to do then covet the run in 2015. Connor and Felt on with Brown, Dixon, Jackson and McCoy need to be our backs. gray, O'Leary and Clay our TE's. And then let's see about the rest - the WR's. We should not keep a 4th OL on the 53 to not dress him on game day just so we have him on the roster. If he is notr NFL talent toss him. Keep NFL talent. Shuffle the Scout Team to find the OL and fill out depth if need be. That's what its there for and we will be much more successful keying in on skill. Piecing everything together, he wants more than where the Bills have him valued in relation to where and how much he would play. And the entire point of the movie was that the terminator went through time to find the mother of John Connor, the leader of the revolution, to kill her before she gave birth.
