Disband the team, all players enter a special draft with first pick going to a new franchise in LA. Realignment with Rams moving to AFC North, Ravens to East and new LA team in NFC west.

Also the Bruins should be banned from the NHL as a bonus punishment.

Too soft. NFL needs to be more agressive.

Should: Belichick should be suspended immediately, and the suspension should persist through the end of next season. The Patriots* should be banned from participation in the post season for the next two years. All players should be granted UFA should they choose, immediately following the Super Bowl. The Patriots* should forfeit their first and second round picks in the 2015 draft with the first rounder going to Indy and the second rounder awarded to Baltimore. Finally, the organization should have their salary cap reduced by 15% for the next 4 seasons.

Will happen: loss of a 2016 draft pick and a fine of no more than $500k.

For the next four years:

All offensive linemen playing against the Patriots have a "get out of holding penalty free" card.

Defensive backs are allowed to mug the Patriots receivers at any point in the play, at any spot on the field.

The Brady has to pay a $10k fine. Per completed pass. For the next four years.

And any and all hits on The Brady are legal.

The precedent for a team cheating seems to be picks and a fine, so this "should" follow. And since this is the second time with their current group, you'd think it'd be more severe.

That being said, I have a feeling the NFL will find a scapegoat and the Pats will get away with it. It's easier to find a scapegoat for this, than with the videotaping.

I think we should force Brady to divorce Giselle and make him marry Roseanne barr

Best reply yet! :)

The unstated issue here is the Pats have a reputation as cheaters, so "deflate-gate" is totally believable. And frankly no amount of denial is going to change that. Guilty or not, the Pats now have to live with the reputation they have earned.

And although some may argue "it didn't make a difference, the Colts woukd have still lost", someone recently made the point that this could have been going on undetected for many games--did it make a difference in any of the Pats' regular season games? If so, would they have earned home-field advantage without deflated balls as an "edge"? And without home field advantage the Pats very well could have lost in the playoffs, and another team would now be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Given that logic, one can easily make the case for NE being required to forfeit the game, and the Colts being allowed to play in the Super Bowl.

Will never happen though...

Please comment on any specifics you think may happen.

On part two you left off make them forfeit the first preseason game next year.

Denial will reinforce it. Today's press conferences were a really dumb idea by the Pats' PR department.
