I think it was more about "not the usual suspects" type, but that is just how I read it. Wow! More insight. I thought that was punishable by death in the NFL. How much could it hurt to say we liked Ebron and would have taken him? I love the openess. Chris Brown had already let that cat out of the bag just after the draft. For the most part I agree, at least as far as being an innovator goes. But they were known as tough asses, prickly, both were college guys, both have a big ego, both are offensive guys. I don't think he was talking about being an innovator like Kelly is. So was he really out there scouting for stadium sites? (Just kidding.) His brother lives here. He comes out a couple times a year. He came to scout the UCLA Arizona game on Saturday and do family stuff. His parents live in Phoenix and I think he went there, too. Then he said it's just a fact of life these days that it's really easy to get a rep, and once it is out there really hard to live it down. But he sounded to me like Winston was trouble, and that it does matter. FSU asked EJ to be Winston's mentor. He may have some additional insight from that relationship as well. Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Re Aaron Williams, I started a thread on here last year saying that I think the Bills should just give Williams the deal they would have given Byrd-- which is what the steelers did with Antonio brown (giving him Wallace's deal and letting Wallace walk). Like being open but not about to say anything crazy. You could tell when he didn't want to go further, but I never expected him to. I tried a few times to get him to say something but he wouldn't bite. Really a good ambassador for the team as I said. As I read Kelly's OP, it reminded me that Whaley comes from the steelers tradition. And that tradition has been (at least over the last 15 years and with few exceptions) that you let your star OLB pass rushers walk in FA. Now I am worried he lets Hughes walk!!
