Still, the tape shows a competitive guy who was effective in shutting down big receivers such as former Notre Dame star Michael Floyd, who had his worst game of 2011 while dealing with Robey. I only have two bits of information about Lane College "Dragon" Vernon Kearney. He got beat once in a while, but: 1. He asked no quarter; and  2. Gave none. At least he's got the right name! NFL draft scout has him at 4.47 with a low of 4.34. And while he's just 5'7-1/4", he's got a 40-1/2" vertical.
