With all these diving and gymnastics going on and having no idea how the scoring works, I've created my own scoring system:

10 points if there is no way I have a chance at doing what the contestant just did

8 points if I could have done it once with 10 chances

5 points if I could have done it 7 out of 10 times

3 points if I could have done it every chance I got

0 points if I could have done it while winning a fight with Chuck Norris

I can say that no one has gotten above a 5.

Am I allowed to say the shuttlecock joke or is that not allowed?

I'm not sure how the pooling works or whatever but wouldn't the best team play the worst team? So if they tried to win and won all the matches, they would play the worst team, correct?

And isn't the stereotype for Southeast Asia consist of smart people? Because I can come up with more creative strategies than that...

Is everybody getting the hang of avoiding all media so as not to see the results ahead of time?? I am!

Enjoyed the primetime coverage tonight(Swimming, Beach Volleyball).

Tried watching Fencing earlier today, and it was not as exciting as I thought it would be...it was quite boring IMO.

The US Women's Indoor Volleyball team is looking strong...I see Gold in their future.

Go USA!!

That's a little harsh. I'd be satasfied if he was hit by a speeding car.

Good job by the commentators calling him out though. Surprised NBC didn't put a muzzle on them.

Yeah you're right. Maybe since he screwed over the kid from Japan some kind'a Ninja should kick his ass.

:D

One of the commercials I've noticed during the Olympic commercial breaks is of an aspiring female boxer who proclaims herself as a "hispanic" female boxer. That's nice and everything, but does this mean that a white female boxer can say she's a "caucasian" female boxer? I think so. I'm Hispanic and why not be fair about it?

Btw the Human league commercial brings back memories.

Also on a side note the Swedish female soccer team isn't shabby at all.

I've been waiting for an hour to watch the Sharapova v. Williams match and it didn't come on so I decided to just see what was on the regular NBC channel. It was the tennis match and I was able to watch the gold medal point. -_-

Yeah, that's what was on the schedule and that's what Costas said it would be on last night.

The men's final --- a re-match of the Wimbeldon final of Federer-Murray --- is tomorrow at 9 a.m. eastern on NBC broadcast.

Doesn't look like the women's final was worth watching anyway: 6-0 6-1.

I was busy last night. The one time I was busy the past 2 weeks, he announces something I need to know.

And have you seen both of them? Its worth watching.

Also, congrats to the US Swim Team on an amazing week! :worthy:

Watching the mens and womens relays today, and the womens team was comprised of the four women who won individual gold in each of the 4 strokes, and the mens team had three gold medalists and a silver medalist...how can you not win.
