Jeffrey Gundlach?

The bond trading background and living in LA, combined with a carefully worded statement on his "love for the [buffalo? LA?] Bills" and the idea that he's part of a group (read "a frontman") scares me. I got a bad feeling about this one....

Well, we can now officially cross this guy's name off a potential list of Bills owners.

Ralph has consistently and adamantly put the kabbosh on anybody foolish enough to float a "desire to purchase" trial balloon in the press (right, Mark Hamister! :wallbash:), other than Jimbo, who has tiptoed around the subject with his "syndicate."

This guy just crossed his name off of any potential list (including dealing with Ralph's heirs), and I suspect his background as a trader is another black mark with RW.

What list? Ralph said he's not selling so it's a moot point either way. The team won't change hands until Ralph passes on and I doubt he'll be holding any grudges then.

I didn't post this for the negative nancy's to pick apart,

but for the hope of the future of our franchise.

Hopefully with less nancy's in our future.

Have fun with it NANCY!

GO BILLS!

Is this even a story? Here's another one for you-I want to buy The Bills. You will see this in tomoprrow Wall STreet Jurnal...

Yes, it appears another thread was necessary. I believe the original poster wishes to discuss William of Pagula, 14th century lawyer and theologian. While he is certainly a long shot to be the next owner of the Bills, Ralph has been reluctant to reveal his plans about the team's future and its still anybody's guess at this point.

Rachel Phelps was the last owner of a professional sports franchise to openly admit a desire for their team to fail. Despite her best intentions, the Cleveland Indians banded together and won the division title, thus ruining her plans to move the team to Miami.

F you Jobu, I do it myself.

On the one hand his money and connections are all Wall Street. On the other, the weed, the drumming and porn says he's all WNY. He's freezer is probably full of Mighty Tacos.

The list that TSW junkies and others compile.

You're right, Ralph doesn't have a list and won't sell while he's alive. But that doesn't stop the fans/media from keeping a running tally of likely suspects, or wannabe owners from attempting what this jamoke is doing in the WSJ.

Ralph's past practice whenever "interested parties" have floated a desire to buy the team has been to freeze them out, which I suspect includes conveying that sentiment to Mary and his heirs regarding any postmortum deals as well.

IMO, Ralph's not looking to maximize his heirs' return at whatever point a sale occurs--and is more interested in what legacy/memory he can leave behind. Having a true-blue "football-minded" ownership group rather than a Danny Snyder a-hole that pays a dollar more will factor into the equation, I believe.

Not disagreeing with you at all but this is what worries me the most. If he is more interested in his legacy there's always the possibility that both his legacy and having a team in buffalo end at the same time.

Lol..."12 sexual devices" in is office....I really hope that was a Clinton type of thing and they weren't for him...

That's becoming more common in corporate America. I like to keep a few such "devices" in my office at all times. The sight of an enormous phallus sitting in the center of my desk makes people generally uncomfortable which gives me the upper hand in negotiations. People will agree to pretty much anything just to get out of there. And if things get heated, I'll pick it up and shake it at them to demonstrate a point. I'd like to see you say "No" with that thing in your face.
