  1. I guess we can just keep a list here of everything the media has lied, or “misinformed” the public of over the last few years. Russiagate Bountygate Officer Sicknick skull bashed in with a fire extinguisher Covington Catholic kids Hunter Biden’s laptop is “Russian misinformation” ”Debunked” Wuhan lab leak President Trump “tear gassed” protesters for a photo op The science behind hydroxychloroquine
  2. Lost in the Diggs news of this week is how wrong the Buffalo media have been about Diggs over the past year: - WGR hosts routinely dismissed callers who raised Diggs' behavior as an issue - Team beat reporters took pride in pushing back on the national narrative that Diggs was an issue and could be traded. They would boast about how they're local, on the ground and more tuned into the team. They'd highlight the cap hit and claim that anyone from the national media who suggested a Diggs trade didn't understand the cap implications. They loved going on national shows to tell everyone how much they know about the team and how the national narrative about a Diggs issue was wrong and potential trade wasn't happening. Matt Bove even tweeted that Diggs wasn't getting traded literally less than 10 minutes before the trade was reported - Tim Graham (who I previously thought was one of the few good ones) is now reporting how Allen snapped at Diggs after the Week 1 loss to the Jets. It's such a disservice and somewhat disingenuous to withhold information like this until he's gone. It highlights how many of these folks care far more about maintaining relationships/access to the players than holistically reporting what's going on with the team - especially a week 1 incident involving a player who was the talk of the offseason It's unfortunate we don't have media members covering the team who we can trust. I can only wonder what will continue to come out about the Diggs situation, or what would come out about McDermott re: 13 seconds if he gets fired.
  3. Let's go back in time. Summer 2016. Trump opines on that Leader of the Free Press, the National Enquirer: "There was a picture on the front page of the National Enquirer, which does have credibility," Trump said to a room of volunteers and staffers in Cleveland, adding that the tabloid "should be very respected." In May, Trump had said to Fox News, "You know, his father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being -- you know, shot....Right prior to his [Kennedy's] being shot, and nobody even brings it up. I mean, they don't even talk about that. That was reported and nobody talks about it." The story Trump referenced had appeared in the National Enquirer and was immediately debunked. The Washington Post said Trump had made "a ridiculous claim." Politifact concurred, saying that the photograph was "too degraded to offer much confidence," and experts it consulted "consider Trump's claim implausible at best and ridiculous at worst." So now we know that Trump and that "credible" supermarket checkout rag were in cahoots, planting and killing stories all in service of Trump and at the expense of his competitors. Ted Cruz was incensed in 2016, but now he's ... weirdly quiet. Not a peep out of him since it was revealed at Trump's trial that the Enquirer just photoshopped Cruz's father into a photo of Oswald. The manly Senator just bends over and takes it now. Maybe he wants to be Attorney General. Cruz figured it all out in 2016: “The CEO of the National Enquirer is an individual named David *****,” Cruz said at a [2016] campaign event. “Well, David is good friends with Donald Trump. In fact, the National Enquirer has endorsed Donald Trump, has said he must be president.” The senator lamented that his young daughters would someday “read these lies, these attacks that Donald and his henchmen, that his buddies at the National Enquirer spread” about their father. After the tabloid went after Cruz’s father, and Trump seized on the story, the senator also told reporters that the future president was a “pathological liar,” adding in reference to Trump, “He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth.” The mainstream media - and Cruz himself - nailed it at the time. It was a preposterous lie, and this time planted by Trump and his "alt media" supporters.
  4. Well, this could be interesting! Project Veritas to unleash hours of behind-the-scene video of a major TV network. One by one Trump's opponents were trounced about as soon as they began personally attacking him. Hmm... looks like the media isn't as smart as they think they are because they're the main group of jackasses that are personally attacking him now.
  5. More from the commie playbook of accuse your opponent of what you in fact have done. Since we now know that its illegal to merely question election results, but also to come up with schemes to circumvent elections.... Straight to the gulag with all of them!
  6. Is anyone else more disgusted than usual with the media regarding the Diggs trade? Virtually every Bills centric media member was dismissive about the possibility of him being traded beforehand. Some went so far as to be rude about it and acted like people making the suggestion were idiots for even thinking it was a possibility. Fast forward to the aftermath and I’ve yet to hear one utter anything in the way of a mea culpa. I literally heard one of the more dismissive ones start off their podcast with “Well, it finally happened!” Like it was something he’d been expecting. It’s a good reminder that so many media people are just playing a game. I shared here that an NFL reporter who’d been in Vegas for SB week had said that the big rumor among teams that week was that the Bills would be trying to trade Diggs this offseason. I don’t write that here to LAMP. But if it’s something that can make it to someone like me, how do they not hear it. They’re supposedly so well connected. Or is it that they collectively kept a lid on it? I dunno, either way it’s not a good look. I lost a lot of respect for many of them.
  7. Think there is anything to talk about? Josh at 1230
  8. Censorship by big tech..Google, Twitter, Facebook etc. has been obvious to sane people for quite some time now. Today however they went ALL in. Given how out in the open they all are now with blatant censorship and attempting to influence the election i feel this topic deserves a dedicated thread. A sane take from one of the very few on the left who is honest on the subject.
  9. I try so hard not to listen or care what outsiders say about the Bills but this week has been hard for me to ignore the idiots and excuse makers as to why the Bills were able to beat the Steelers. One narrative is, the Bills were supposed to beat Pitts because they had injuries to their best player. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Bills also are dealing with injuries. The Steelers would not have even been in the playoffs if they hadn't squeaked out a win against the 3rd stringers that the Ravens fielded the week before. Mike Tomlin is a great coach. Is he really, So what if wins during the regular season, he's a loser in the post season of late. He so smart he made the decision to go with Mason Rudolph! well if he's so smart why did it take him 14 games on inept offense with Trubisky and Pickett before making the change to the guy who had been on the team for the last 5 years or so. Pitts got a break because they cancelled the game because of the pitts run game not being as good as the Bills. AHHH not so much. They say, Josh Allen is a turn over machine he will cost the Bills. He definitely has his share of picks but the dude is a player. I ain't getting rid of him for any other QB in the league. I don't know if the Bills are going to the Super Bowl let alone win it but I know at 6-6 they were written off as underachievers. I thought it was close to over at 6-6 and I am the most optimistic Bills fan to ever live, they proved me wrong, shame on me. See you all on Sunday, rain, snow, cold, wind Tay or no Tay. I so want this game, please be loud and proud! They're killin me Whitey, They're killin me! GO BILLS
  10. I'm not posting any content going foward in the ridiculously titled other thread. What really happened on January 6th 2021 and the mass trespassing at the US Capitol? What has the DOJ, government and media done since that day to obfuscate and outright lie? Document it here.
  11. https://nypost.com/2024/01/22/sports/stefon-diggs-declines-to-talk-to-media-after-huge-drop-in-bills-loss/ Stefon Diggs let the game go through his hands. And he then entered the offseason without saying a word. Diggs, the Bills’ mercurial receiver, declined to talk to reporters after his big drop doomed Buffalo in their 27-24 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday, according to NFL Network. Do not forget, the Bills tried to get Diggs going on first play on offense. What did Diggs do? He fumbled the first play of the game. Diggs and Sherfield are the biggest reasons we lost IMO Mike Evans had 12 catches for 147 yards and a TD. That is what a real #1 WR does in the playoffs. Diggs is no #1. He is not even a #2 IMO. Bills and Josh need legitimate WR 1 and 2 this offseason!
  12. Any time I see anything about the Bills or Josh Allen almost immediately the Chiefs and Mahomes are brought into the conversation. I just want my Bills news, I don’t want to continually be reminded of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs and their Superbowls and how the Bills always lose to them and blah blah blah…… It is so aggravating that not only do they win but whenever my team is spoken about I need to hear all the superlatives about the crown prince and his team. I will be using this board to curate my NFL news this offseason, thank you to all the contributors that wade through the mud of the NFL offseason. I can’t wait until the Bills and JA win one and finally get all these people to STFU. (carve out for Rich Eisen, he always has Buffalo’s back)
  13. What else can we do? We have, at least, an informal family here in Buffalo. I feel pain right now - but I know there are thousands of people right there w/ me. Allen is still young, we'll always have a window while he's playing. There is a rich history in sports of great players who kept hitting a wall year after year, until they broke through. Just keep hoping. And stay away from the media. I made the mistake of checking Nick Wright's initial reaction - what a wonderful example of a sore winner. But it will be a brutal week w/ the ending being a wide right kick. Just steer clear. Life is still good. We still have Josh Allen.
  14. Why so much excitement from the likes of Colin Coward, Steven A, Nick Wrong among the many soundbytes I’ve come across? The Eagles beat a middle of the road bumbling .500 led by a coach who is on a hot seat. The Bills are an average team led by a NFL’s leader in turnovers. And a kicker 7% below NFL average in FG %, missing 3 of their best players on defense the past 2 months who are 2-5 since losing those 3 defenders. Eagles fans all up in the comments on the YouTube Bills pages too. Seems weird for everyone to be making such a big deal out of a game that went exactly the way Vegas and the big media markets wanted it to go.
  15. Kadarius Toney, in a rant that ranks as an all-timer in terms of vulgarity, is accusing the Kansas City Chiefs of lying about his injury as they sideline him for the AFC Championship Game. "I don't give a f***!'' Toney says via social media on the day of the game at the Baltimore Ravens. "All these p**** n****** ... B**** a** n******* Y'all readin' all this half-a** s***. ... I don't f*** with y'all ... I'm not hurt, none of that. Hip, knee, nuh-uh.'' https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/news/i-dont-give-kadarius-toneys-vulgar-rant-kansas-city-chiefs-lying-injury-afc-championship-game
  16. ...and was slapped down by the Senate. As we have seen in the past, Trump does not care if Rome burns to the ground while he fiddles and golfs, and certainly cares more about personal vendettas than he does about running the country. In this case Trump demanded that his poison pill earmark to get rid of Section 230 be a part of the military budget or he would VETO it. This is the over 700 billion dollar budget that basically runs our military, pays our soldiers, etc... Reminder that Section 230 is related to the mechanism that protects and allows a Social Media company to flag the endless diarrhea of lies that come from Trump and other enemies of democracy (Russia, China, and Iran) to be flagged as such so some Trump cultists may have a small chance at breaking free of the cycle of conspiracy and disinformation. The Senate used a super majority to slap him down. https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/11/politics/senate-defense-bill-trump-veto-proof-majority/index.html More about Section 230 - In fairness there should be some kind of bi-partisan effort to review the accountability of large social media platforms and codify what their liability should be, but it is a slippery slope around free speech, and when does free speech becomes something that needs to be checked: harassment, libel, witness intimidation, dangerous incitement to violence, or when used as a tool leveraged by political or foreign actors to spread disinformation to destabilize out nation. https://www.fcc.gov/news-events/blog/2020/10/21/fccs-authority-interpret-section-230-communications-act
  17. For those that missed if with a few key comments added. Good watch. Some other key points- - Worked through many possibilities at CB before dealing for Rasul. Seemed like the asking prices were too high for others. - Had been calling about DTs. Still looking to add. I read that as "We have several vets we are talking to. First one to accept our offer at a lower salary is a Buffalo Bill". But help is likely on the way. - Rasul not expected to practice today. Not likely to be active this week IMO. - Mentioned Fournette isn't familiar with the playbook. May take him a bit to see action is the way I took it. Also said regarding Fournette that nothing's been promised. - As usual, Beane was pretty straight forward as far as NFL GMs go.
  18. The same post-game clichés aren't going to cut it anymore. There haven't been any answers coming from this coaching staff, and the people who know football are taking notice and calling this absurdity out. The definition of "insanity", many have said, is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. We love this team. We deserve better. What I would really love to know is whether this is a case of McDermott blindly continuing to support "his guy" or if McDermott, himself, is the one who is dictating the style of offense in an attempt to prop up his faltering (yes- also injury ravaged) defense.
  19. He’s arguably been the Bills best defensive player through 4 games and certainly in the first series of the Jax game (where he stoned a third and short), yet literally no one talks about him. Rich Eisen is a Bills fan, but my god, he knows nothing. What a bad, bad announcer. Say what you will about Romo, but he knows how good Jones has been and highlighted it. Eiden literally never said a word about Jones all game long despite the fact that the Bills biggest problem all game long was the absence of Jones.
  20. In short, she's awesome and does an excellent job. Listening on One Bills Live with Tasker and she is knowledgable, super articulate in a classic DeeJay kind of way and passionate about sports and the Bill as Harry Cary used to say. The Bills are lucky to have her, hope she stays but probably won't. ESPN for sure.
  21. First the Russia collusion hoax of 2016….oops! Then the suppression of the Hunter laptop because it was supposedly Russian disinformation in 2020…ooops! Now 2024…If there are actually people that are going to fall for the hat trick on this one, I leave you with these words of wisdom from the incomparable George W. Bush:
  22. It is unbelievable how bad these media and radio personalities are with team & player analysis, game and matchup perspectives. One minute a team can be the best team in the league, and every one of these media clowns are spewing all this one sided commentary on how great that team is then the following week, that team is now the worst team in the league. If you could get real unbiased opinions from these guys I would not complain, but this rarely happens and all we end up with is a bunch of these media clowns dressing up like Pee Wee Herman in front of a national audience, and their acting is just as bad when they are on camera too. It is to bad that there are no true media personalities that are unbiased and you can actually respect for an honest opinion. As much as I hate to say it the only people I don't mind listening to now are Rex Ryan, Dan Orlovsky and Joy Taylor. My worst top offenders Stephen A Smith Colin Cowherd Bart Scott Mike Greenberg Ryan Clark Michael Irvin Feel free to make you own list but the choices of bad personalities out there are so many its staggering. It is unreal that they actually get paid for the garbage that comes out of their mouths.
