  1. Does anyone think Brett Hundley will be there in the 2nd? Even trading up 12-15 spots to get him. He is insanely accurate, and athletic enough to extend plays. He is the guy I want come the draft.
  2. 1st Round Mike Evans WR from Texas A&M Great pick would be a great compliment to Woods. It would also give EJ another weapon. I feel like the BIlls need to give him tools for next season and if he doesn't prove he is the future after another 16 games. Then it is time to move on. 2nd Round Vic Beasley OLB Clemson Like the pick, not sure if I love it. Fills a need would rather trade down into the 3rd as I really like a lot of the player slotted in that round. 3rd Round AJ McCarron QB Alabama Like the pick, not sure if he can develop into a Championship QB. I couldn't think of a more prepared guy coming out of college though. Lots of starts, good game manager but has played with a superior offensive line. The guy I would really like to see is the 6-5 WR from FSU Kelvin Benjamin. He is a monster and I see him as a slit out Tight End type player. I don't know about his inline blocking, but he has done a good job from what I have seen on WR screens and outside runs. He to me stretches the field between the hashes, something our offense is missing. DraftTek has him going 6 picks before our selection. Kyle Van Noy - OLB from BYU - going 10 picks after our selection. He is a great player all over the field, has shown ability to cover and play all three downs. I think he is a plug and play starter from day one. 4th Round Tim Jackson DE North Carolina - Won't lie don't know much about this guy. I think his teammate Kareem Martin is much better. DraftTek has Martin in the 5th, I would take him in a heartbeat in the 5th if available. Six picks after our selection Aaron Lynch OLB South Florida is slotted. He is listed at 6-6 244lb, he was larger than that his freshman year at ND. He is a pure pass rushing stud. He overpowered offense lineman when he was setup as a 3-4 DE as a freshman. I don't think he can cover that much, but thats not how he will make his living. He did have attitude issues while at Notre Dme supposedly. 5th Round Delon Belue - CB from Alabama - Not a bad pick, but as I mentioned I want Kareem Martin who is slotted to be available at our selection. The draft does not address the need for a Safety and any upgrades or depth on the offensive line. Ok, rip it apart.
  3. Don't worry Buddy, I brought my own pen.
  4. If we land Williams, there will be a major run on Red turtlenecks and overalls in Western New York. I'm thinking about buying up all the XLs and selling them at St. John Fischer.
  5. Greg Romeus DE (transition to OLB) from Pitt - Big East Player of the Year in 2010 Ian Williams NT - Notre Dame - Big Body handles double teams well, understands containment and collapses the pocket.
  6. Gallery is not good. Underachiever who has been sentenced to guard due to bad footwork. From your list I would like Ryan Harris T from Denver.
  7. Guy was the big east player of the year as a junior.
  8. Greg Romeus - need to get an OLB that can pressure the passer. Merriman is still to much of an unknown.
  9. I wouldn't be too upset with the pick. But I would focus on Defensive Front 7. I have always Marvin Austin at 34, although he is not as large a need with Dareus, but never too many quality D-Line in my opinion. They help to make our LB's look better and flow to the ball easier. I thnk there are LB's to be had in the 3rd and 4th. Bruce Carter, Greg Romeus, Quan Stuyvasant. Long Story short i would pass on Rudolph because the front 7 is a greater need, but i think he is a valuable pick at 34.
  10. As an ND fan, I'll tell you my thoughts on Rudolph. I think the 50 yard mark can be slightly deceptive. He had Golden Tate and Michael Floyd there with him and they took many of his yards away. I don't think Weis ever used Rudolph as well as he could have he was mainly focused on attacking the mismatches his WR created. Rudolph was good in many short yardage situations. 3rd and 4 find a hole in the zone settle in and pick up 6 yards. I look at the success that the Patriots had with their Tight Ends last year and think that Rudolph is a better receiver than both of them. I think having a solid pass catching Tightend is really important as it makes a shutdown corner less of an impact (Revis) and when they clear out the middle it opens up underneath routes for receivers who may struggle getting down the field. Pros Great hands Great Speed Tall (creates mismatches on the outside) Cons Need to improve Blocking I do think he may be injury prone. (with his height he is an upright runner)
  11. I like Greg Romeus from PItt but in the 3rd round.
  12. Marvin Austin, top ten talent who got involved with an agent... I like the idea of having Dareus, Williams, Troup, Edwards, and then Austin as a rotation.
  13. Round 1 Fairley or Dareus both are better than what we have. I prefer Fairley he has a mean streak which is what this team needs and he blows up running plays. Round 2 a name that used to be mentioned in the top 10 or even the top 5. Marvin Austin from UNC. Before he was suspended he was the top DT prospect in the class. Not to tout UNC but the have a middle linebacker named campbell who I thought was pretty good as well. I don't know where he grades out though.
  14. I think a good guy to look at to fill an OLB position is Eric Norwood from South Carolina. I think he can be had in the 3rd Round. He anchored ht has been a really good South Carolina defense the past two seasons.
  15. I just went through the DraftTek Consensus Mock Draft and was surprised to see some of the players still available. I have noted some of the guys I would like the Bills to consider. These guys are assuming the first Three rounds go as follows 1 - Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa or Rolando McClain ILB Alabama 2 - Terrence Cody 3-4 DT Alabama 3 - Eric Norwood 3-4 OLB South Carolina Round 4 Cam Thomas 3-4 DT North Carolina (DraftTek has him listed as going 99th to KC we pick at 104. I don't expect him be on the board this late) Arthur Jones 3-4 DE Syracuse (DraftTek has him listed as going 102th to Cleveland we pick at 104. Stock definately don after a bad senior season) Jason Fox OT Miami (DraftTek has him listed as going 114th to Atlanta) Round 5 Brandon Carter OG Texas Tech (DraftTek has him listed as going 129th to Detroitwe pick at 136) Eric Decker WR Minnesota (DraftTek has him listed as going 130th to Cleveland we pick at 136) Torelll Toup 3-4 DT Central Florida Sam Young OT Notre Dame (He is a RT only in my opinion, DrafTek has him going 153 to Baltimore) Round 6 Roddrick Muckelroy 4-3 OLB Texas (DraftTek has him going 170 to Jacksnville) Kavell Connor 4-3 OLB Clemson (Draftek has him going at 175 to Tennessee) Blair White WR Michigan St (DraftTek has him going 178 to Pittsburgh)
  16. Williams may not be a LT and I would never spend a 1st rounder on him, but he would solidify the Right Tackle Spot for years. Phil Loadholt, Williams teammate at Oklahoma was a late pick because of his foot speed and height, and has started from day one for the Vikings at the Right Tackle spot.
  17. Three guys who could have a big immediate impact and huge long-term on are defense could all be had in this draft. Rounds 1-3 are below. Rolando McClain Terrence Cody Eric Norwood I see these three as starting for the length of their contracts (hopefully 4-5 years each). Originally, I thought Cody would have to be had in the late first round, but he has appeared out of shape and heavier. Could this drop him down to the second round? If we don't believe Schobel can make the transition to OLB then see if he can be moved to another team for a late second rounder, but most likely a third. This does nothing to address the offensive side of the ball. The only positions that should be drafted on the offensive side of the ball are OT's and a QB. The only QB I see worth drafting is Clausen, but I don't think it should be done with the offensive line as it is.
  18. The 3-4 can only be effective with a NT that is a space eater. Enter Terrence Cody NT from Alabama the man eats space for breakfast, lunch, diner, and 4th meal.
  19. As a diehard, Notre Dame fan the answer is absolutely NO! Watching his defensive scheme this past season was terrible. He blitzed on a majority of plays and played with lacks coverage to ensure not getting beat over the top. The blitzes were not well disguised at all. All the QB's in the AFC East especially Brady, (even Sanchez and Henne with another year under their belt) would feast on those weak blitzes. A resounding no.
  20. I went with Fox, but in all reality, if Cody is there at 31 for the Saints (would just got a young DT in Sedric Ellis) we better be on the phones moving up 10 spots.
  21. I pray they do not take a QB round one. Not with the OT situation not being resolved. As much as we need a QB the games are won on the lines of scrimmage. I really do want McClain with that #9 pick. I think the Bills have to find a way to get back into the first round and get Cody. Those two guys are instant game changers and are what you build a franchise around for years. I can not say that about any of the OT other than Okung who I think will be gone by #9 and any QB other than Clausen. But no rookie should take that beating behind our current O-line.
  22. I think this is the way to go, 2 game changers from day one. I think Offensive Tackle is a tough pick for our first overall, I think Okung will be gone, and I think the other OT's are a reach.
  23. From everything I have seen from him, I think he wouldn't be a reach at #9, but I do think he can be had later. I'm not sure why he is projecting so low right now. My only thought is that he is not a 3 down player because he is off the field in obvious passing situations.
  24. I remember that play form the SEC Championship game. On a sweep left he just ran the guy down and rode him down on a solo tackle. Who would have thought a LB would can make a solo tackle without being dragged.
