We do not have a solid starter at LT. We have a mid round pick from last year who was not horrible.

the bottom line is that the draft is a crap shoot. Every year, there are 100 'experts' on this board touting this guy or that guy as a guaranteed starter for 15 years or whatever. Every year we talk about which guys are studs and which guys suck because their arms are too short or theirs hands aren't soft enough. And then the draft happens and people B word and complain because the Bills didnt take they guy they have a man cruch on while others state that whomever was seleceted in Rd7 is a guaranteed future hall of famer. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. If a miracle happens and we get Kalil, there is still an excellent chance that he is a bust and never surpasses Chris Hairston on the depth chart. Lets also not forget the fact that very few rookies come in and have an immediate impact. When they do, it is a bonus. We should not be looking for whomever is drafted to be an immediate stud. It took Marcel a half season to really start to show his true skill level, it might take this years rookies longer. For the first time in over a decade, I feel like the Bills are being run by people who have a plan and are executing on that plan. For the furst time, I am not worried that they are going to screw this up. I am excited to see who they get.

you never know. If he drops to 6-7 then a move up is less costly and more possible. They are just covering their bases. The brought in a few of the other potential top 5 guys for visits too.

I doubt that the Bills would want to drop all the way out of the first round. But I could see them doing that type of deal to drop down to the 18-22 range of Rd1 and pick up a 1 next year. It does seem very unlikely to me that they would consider getting a pick next year. I think they are really in "win now": mode and would want to maximize assets that can come in and help this year.

The first 12 are about right. Then I think Fitz falls in there right after that. Some of the guys listed ahead of him are just silly (like Jake Locker).

I will be at all of the games at the Ralph. I am psyched for football season this year. But then again, I'm psyched for football season every year.

It is funny how Sheppard was thought to be the saviour at LB last year and now all of you guys are looking to upgrade with the next flavor of the month.

Dareus was on that show and we drafted him. Now Floyd is on there. He has to be our pick, Right? In all seriously, from a talent standpoint, Floyd would be a great pick as long as they are comfortable that his past drinking incidents are youthful mistakes and not a serious problem. agree 100%

Floyd is likely to be a significantly better prospect than any WR who might be BPA in later rounds. and the difference in ratings on those players will probably be much less significant.

it has been pointed out before how Nix had said that you draft OT's because if they cannot cut it at OT you can move them inside. I think there is absolutely no chance we take Decastro.

I think what he meant by that is that the Bills won't know exactly who they are going to pick until they are on the clock. They will obvioulsy a target list of players but they don't know who may fall to them. I don't think it was meant as a slam on the Bills.

1.) Because you will still hit on some of them 2.) because you will still get Pass Interference calls 3.) just throwing them causes the defense to have to atleast cover it and not just sit on the run game and short passes 4.) if you get a very good deep threat receiver, their size and skill can make up for Fitz's lack of pinpoint accuracy (they demonstrated on MNF how big of a catching radius that Calvin Johnson has. I was something like 11ft high and 14ft wide)

people have different preferences over exactly which guys to take, but I would be happy if we get a WR and an OT in Rd1 and 2. I don't know enough about the prospects to rank them, so I won't comment on that but getting an OT and a WR early would make me happy.

The only reason not to take him is if someone better is still availble. I would rather go LT, OLB, WR, DE and maybe even QB before CB. But if he is the guy Buddy rates highest, that will be a fine pick, especially if he turns out to be a player.

You said we would find our tackle in Rd2 if we don;t sign Bell. I would say we should re-sign Bell for 1-2 yrs and still look to sign a LT prospect in Rd2. But I don't want to move our top 10 pick to a team we are sure is going to grab a Tackle and then hope one of the other Tackles is available to us in Rd2. If we could somehow drop down from 10-15 and still get Martin, then I'm on board.
