  1. 1.) We need a Tackle too, so why would we trade our pick to a team looking for a tackle? 2.) if we can get a tackle in Rd2, why would Philly not just do the same? Or trade down to the bottom of Rd1 or top of Rd2 and snag the tackle we were going to get in Rd2? 3.) Philly will be on the phone with D Bell, M McNeill and any other avaialble OT so re-signing Bell just got more costly/less likely. These fantasy trades are getting really comical.
  2. now that they are done with their multi-year hissie fit, their Bills coverage is solid. They were unbearable ever since losing the Bills to 97 Rock. Now they are back to being entertaining.
  3. that would be something
  4. Get well soon. That ticker is going to need to be strong for draft day when the Bills pick a kicker in Rd1.
  5. Yes. But I think it is really more of a media/internet creation. I don't think team's boards change that much. I doubt that players "shoot up" a team's board. That to me would be in indication that they did not do their scouting job correctly over that past year or more. It is more likely that players drop because of off field incidents, medical tests, interviews, attitudes, etc. I'm just not buying the concept of shooting up draft boards.
  6. I love how people "shoot up the draft boards" in the off season after all of the games are played.
  7. The Spiller pick was worse for me. We had 2 good backs. We needed help on both lines and we needed a QB. I wanted one of those to be addressed. With Maybin, I was surprised but not angry (until aftwards when it become apparent that he was a bust). We needed pass rush and that is what he was supposed to deliver so I found a way to ratiionalize the pick. Like you said, I had no real doubt that Spiller was a good prospect. It just seemed like a wasted pick to me.
  8. Very true. I think, at worst, he is going to be Frank Reich for somebody. I would not spend a high pick on him but if we got in in Rd4 or lower, I'd be happy.
  9. I had the same reaction when we drafted Spiller. I was so pissed. I was on a Carnival cruise ship with family. I threw a half-full beer back into the ice bucket in the sports bar. Stormed back to my room (with the bucket of beer. of course) and muttered to myself for hours.
  10. Rice did not have much left in the tank when he last played several years ago. He is done. I'd rather re-sign Andre Reed.
  11. I'm not saying I agree with him but he explained pretty clearly why he picked Adams over Floyd in the article.
  12. There is something about this kid that I love. His passion for the game is impressive. I think he will be successful in the NFL. If he isn't, it won't be for lack of effort. I'd be happy to have him on our team.
  13. I think Brian may be overthinking things.
  14. No. That is not allowed. The compensatory pick for signing an RFA has to be your own original pick. I would love to have Wallace, but this will never happen for 2 reasons: 1.) Wallace wants to be paid close to $20m per year. He wants a deal similar for Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson. He is not worth it. 2.) Unless someone signs him to a contract in the range of Fitz/Johnson, Pittsburgh will match the offer. I remember one of the GMs on TV saying that teams don't like to sign RFA's to offer sheets because the other team almost always matches, so you are "doing the other GM's job for him"
  15. So maybe we should trade away multiple lower round picks to get back into the first 2 rounds. Or maybe we should stop drafting guys in RD1 and then trading them for 3rd and 4th round picks.
  16. That was great. I didnt think I could be any more pumped for the season to get started, but now I am. Thanks for posting.
  17. If we don't take a tackle at 10, I really hope we re-sign Bell
  18. The season is more than 5 months away and I am already psyched for it to start.
  19. I'm interested to see how this goes. I would guess that Freddy is going to be looking for something similar to the 4yr $32m extensiion ($18m guaranteed) that Marshawn just got. I would she shocked if the Bills are interested in giving him anything even close to that. I'm not even sure the Bills are going to want to pay him what CJ is getting (5yr $25m with $20.8 guaranteed). I'm thinking a 2 yr extension with $9-12m in new money is what will be offered.
  20. very funny. I sent it to a few of my friends who are Browns fans
  21. He failed his physical with SD before being cut. He missed most of last season with a Head/Neck injury and has Spinal Stenosis. In all honesty, he should not be allowed to play again, for his own safety.
  22. based on what? Have you scouted any of these players? Have you interviewed any of them? There is a huge chance that some kid drafted in the lower rounds or a UDFA will have a better career than any of these kids at the top of the draft.
  23. LINK A lot has been discussed regarding Reiff, but this is the first I've heard of Sanu. What do you guys think? He sounds like a good fit for the type of WR we need.
  24. Buddy has said repeatedly that he wants Freddy to finish his career as Bill. FJ WILL NOT BE TRADED.
