  1. Buddy said they had 2 FA targets and they are done. I'm fine with that. Get these two signed and then the draft. Maybe pick up some guys during camp (like we did with Barnett)
  2. this guy is just making the next logical step. Consensus among national reporters is: Bills prepared to make Williams the highest paid Def player in the league; Williams would not have visited if basic financial parameters were agreed too. No new news in this report
  3. I don't think I have been this excited since the Superbowl days
  4. He is by far the best available UFA this year without anybody even close. He can name his price. He does not need to use the Bills or anyone else toe 'drive up the price'. That line of thinking is simply the Bills fan mentality that we can never have anything good happen for our team.
  5. Maybe, his agent has a "feeling" that Buffalo is going to make a strong push for him so they planned for him to be in B-lo. If the Bills are not serious, he can be in Chicago or justa bout anywhere else in 2 hours.
  6. Let's hope it is true. Would be HUGE for the Bills
  7. Your projected contracts are way low compared to what has been rumored. Vjax has supposedly already reject a deal from SD that offered $11m per yr. Mario is reportedly going to receive an offer around 7yr 105m ($15m per).
  8. I don't think I want any part of Braylon Edwards
  9. Signing Brees, Peppers, Pat Williams, Takeo Spikes and Steve Hutchinson worked out pretty well for their teams. Those come to mind quickly. I'm sure there are more.
  10. the Bills organization is pretty tight lipped. Not much slips out before they announce it officially. That may be why the national media doesn't know what we are up to
  11. Dave Tollefson is a guy I could see the Bills go after
  12. a few other "reports" on Twitter say that the Fins are not yet out of the running. We'll see.
  13. I also like the fact the Stevie Johnson has sent similar tweets. The fact that he would be OK with the Bills signing Vjax knowing that Vjax will command a higher salary than him shows a mature and positive attitude from Stevie. I doubt we get Vjax and would prefer to spend the big money on a pass rusher but this whole thing is fun. I cnnot wait for tomorrow.
  14. there were reports Friday that the Bills and Scott were negotiating and the expectatiion if that he will be signed before tomorrow. We'll see. I like his versatility and leadership. Would love to see him stay. One less roster spot to fill.
  15. I'll take both. Give me Mario Williams and Robert Meacham in FA and then an OT in Rd1 and a LB in Rd2 and I will be ecstatic.
  16. great. You can never have too many solid OL. I like keeping our own guys. Now lets go add to the core.
  17. if the Bills start basing their decision on what the Dolphins do or don't do, we are really in trouble
  18. Wow. A bit of an exaggeration don't you think? Because of the value of the QB position, team overdraft them every year. Look at last year, 4 guys went in Rd1, 2 of which had second round grades. Tannehill will be the 3rd QB taken and he will absolutely, without any doubt in my mind be draft in the top 20 probably closer to top 10.
  19. Tannehill may be selected in the top 10. He most certainly won't make it to 43.
  20. Scott would be a great pickup. Nice catch.
  21. any trade for Freeney would be conditional and would be for next year (2013). Give them a 5th rounder in 2013 that can be as high as a 2 or 3 of he re-signs and meets certain criteria Seems like a no brainer to me assuming Indy would take this. If they want more than this, tell them to stuff it and wait for Freeney to be released so we can sign him
  22. What makes you so sure?
  23. MMMMMMMM, Candy!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Candy
  24. Freeney is a perennial pro-bowl player and a first ballot Hall of Famer. Dwan Edwards is a solid NFL player but nowhere near an even trade for Freeney. I would expect that Indy will be looking for draft picks, not aging roster players. wouldn't mind signing Abraham if we cannot get Williams, Freeney or Wimbley
  25. the one factor to consider is that the Bills chances of getting Williams are slim even if they were willing to pay $100M+ over 6-7 years. But getting Freeney would be much easier. Give them a pick and he is yours. Then you worry about restructure/extension. Any sane person would say they want Williams over Freeney. But the questions isn;t that simple.
