I figured you were going to suggest a trade but I would have thought you would atleast suggest that we trade them a DT (Spencer Johnson, Torrell Troupe, Heard, even Jasper). I doubt they have any interest in Edwards as a replacement for Taylor.

Any minority ownership would need to be approved by the league and would be public knowledge. I just don't think this is really the case. I think it is a bit of wishful thinking. I think Ralph is allowing the Front office to run the team and try to win. The new CBA rules require the teams to spend money, so Ralph doesn't have a choice.

good for him. I don't think he is significantly better (if at all) than the guys we already have especially for the price he ended up getting paid. (2yrs $7m) In fact, David Nelson is already better than Jacoby and Nelson is just scratching the surface of his potential, IMHO. I'm excited to see what he does this year and am not desperate to replace him as our #2 unless it is a clear and drastic upgrade.

AMEN, BROTHER. This has been a ridiculously good offseason for the Bills. I am more excited for the upcoming season than I have been in a decade. I love the team we have. We have a lot of great guys on the team that make them really easy to root for. The GM and front office are doing a great job. The coaching staff is solid. We are in a good place right now.

If I were Lindell, I would be uneasy about this situation. If Potter shows that he can boom it into the end zone consistently and has roughly equivalent accuracy on FGs and PATs as Lindell, Lindell could be a goner.

God, that is an absolute steal for the Bills to have a potential MVP candidate signed for $4m per year. And really no exposure if he suffers a career ending injury or unexpected decline in production. He can be dumped with a serious Cap hit. What a ridiculously great contract for the Bills. Kudos to Buddy, Jim Overdorf, Jeff Littman and Ralph Wilson (and anyone else involved in this highway robbery). Kidding aside. I am stunned and thrilled that Freddy took this deal.

Dude, lighten up. They were just trying to be funny. For a radio call in show, a story like this is boring. If it is a controversial subject, they will get more callers. If everyone agrees, less people will call and the ones that do will be lame.

we are on the right track (at least on paper). Lets see how they play when the games start. They will definitely be much improved. But I agree with others who have said we still need some upgrades at LB. A Karlos Dansby type LB in place of Morrison would be great.

Agreed. He is a good character guy and a leader. I think he would have been a good example for the younger guys. I would rather have them cut McKelvin, Mcgee or both. Florence is better than either one (McGee is probably slightly better when heatlhy, but he is NEVER healthy). This move is about money, not who is better. They Bills save $9m by dumping Florence. He will sign on elsewhere and I believe his leadership will be missed.
