  1. This sounds to me like Chuck just trying to get some attention and trying to force his way into the process so that he can take credit when an agreement ultimately happens. We will see, but I am expecting just a bunch of jaw flapping from Chuck. They said on the radio this morning that he is going to push for the Bills to contribute money towards the project and then have the league match those funds.
  2. Great Info. Thanks Matt
  3. Just wondering if anyone knows more about this than I do. A friend just mentioned that the Bills game in Toronto is in jeopardy because of the labor dispute with the officials. There is a law in Canada prohibiting the use for replacement employees in case of a Lockout. So, the NFL would not be able to use replacement officials in the Toronto game without special approval from the Canadian govt. I have no idea if this is true or not. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks
  4. Like who? Give me a specific player who we should have replaced Fitz with? And think about what we would have given up to get that player. The only QB who has changed teams over the last 2 seasons, who would have been an upgrade from Fitz, is Peyton Manning and he is a HUGE question mark. None of the drafted QBs that we could have taken in the last few years are any better than Fitz right now (and might never be). The the girl we brought to the dance so we have to dance with her. I'd rather have Brees (although he is a douche) or Brady (also a douche) but they are not available.
  5. It would be great if we could upgrade the QB position. Who do you propose we so easily replace him with? At this point, Fitz is the best avaialble option, if a better one becomes reasonably available, I am all for it. Until then, pray that Fitz kicks ass this year.
  6. If the D is posting shut outs, we cannot possibly lose. Why would they quit playing hard?
  7. He is entitled to his opinion. I for one could not care less what his opinion is. I've never been a big TG fan.
  8. Yeah, we really missed out by passing on Wilson, he's going to be the next Jimmy Clausen, Tony Pike, Dan LeFevour, Colt McCoy, Brady Quinn, etc. Another in a long list of surefire Hall of Famers the stupid Bills passed on. You know it has been a great off season for the Bills when the biggest issue on the message boards is whether or not our 3rd round pick will be a signed before the first mini-camp.
  9. the RB would get a guaranteed TD on every drive. Run on every down and you are guaranteed a 1st down every time. Just methodically drive down the field, chew up clock and score. if your D makes one stop, you are guaranteed to win the game.
  10. We'll win the AFC east with a 16-0 regular season record
  11. maybe the hit was intentional. Wasn't there a report that the hit that injured Sean Payton was done on purpose?
  12. I believe he will improve with age, experience, confidence and continuity in the same offense.
  13. this is a very bad move by Vilma. It stinks that the league chose to selectively punish only certain people, but I think Vilma is going to blow through a crap load of money and lose out in the end. Then who is going to bring him in after his suspension is over? Would it be legal if the league decided to suspend him for another year for 'conduct detrimental to the league" with this suit?
  14. That is one of my all time favorite games I have ever been to.
  15. LOL. That was great. Everyone in my office just looked up to see why I burst out laughing.
  16. I've taken my kids to games every year since they were 4 or so. They are 9 and 12 now and love going. We've never had an issue with any 'mega drunks'. We do witness some bad behavior and I used it as a teaching moment to show them how stupid these people look when they decide to make idiots of themselves. I show them how to have fun tailgating without getting smashed and being a moron. I guess it depends on how sheltered you keep your kids. If you don't want to expose them to some amount of drunks, swearing and macho idiots, an NFL stadium is not the place for them. Oh - the other important factor is your behavior. If you are one of the drunken idiots or macho punks looking for a fight, you probably should leave the little ones at home. and btw - CONGRATS.
  17. I think Plax could very well be that difference. I think he would be considerably better than Donald Jones, Naaman Roosevelt or Aiken.
  18. is it an actual press conference or is the team just making him available to the media like they are required to do after practices and such? A full scale press conference would be a bit goofy for a 2nd string QB, but in the end I guess I just don't care. The only way there is any sort of QB controversy is a.) if Fitz plays badly (and if this happens we are in trouble anyway) or b.) if Young gets a chance to play and plays ridiculously good (and I just don't see the downside here)
  19. I'll bet he really lit it up against a bunch of rookies, and camp fodder. Every team wants to hype their picks. Too much is made out of guys who dominate during training camp, and these OTA's aren't even less interesting than camp.
  20. I've been banging the drum for Plaxico Burress. I think he would be a great #2 for us. I am fine going with what we have because I like our young group, but adding Plax could really make our WR a strength
  21. Didn't you hear the good news? They discovered a new Mayan calendar. The world will not be ending in December.
