  1. Gotta be packed with incentives though right? Sounds to me like Teams are being cautious about throwing guaranteed money at that neck...But if he performs I'm sure any deal will get Manning up there to Bradyland dollars-wise...
  2. Ronnell Lewis? I don't know...He's a bit of a projection as an OLB in a 4-3 and he's too small to play DE...Yes...he's strong, nasty, a good tackler, and a good Run Defender...But he runs almost 4.7...He'll be a MAJOR liability in Pass Coverage...I mean MAJOR!...I just don't see that Kid as a high 3rd Round Pick whatsoever to a 4-3 Team...He'll be a converted College DE/OLB trying to move to OLB in an NFL 4-3...That's an awful tough move for a Rookie and a bit of a projection...I'm not saying he won't be a 3rd Round Pick...But I don't think he's a great fit for the 4-3... Travis Lewis is a better fit for the 4-3, and was thought to be a potential 1st Round Pick after his 2010 Season...But he ran a SUPER slow 4.88 at the Combine...He was known to play at around 230 lbs, but showed up weighing 246 at Indy...So maybe that's why he ran so slow...He might still be available in the 4th...I would take him there... Bentley is a decent prospect, but he struggled in man-to-man at Louisiana-Lafayette, I seriously doubt he's going to get better in the NFL any time soon...He could go in the 3rd due to his showing at the Sr Bowl, but I still think he's more of a 4th-5th Rounder... Bequette is a scrapper and I like his size...But I'd rather take Jones and gamble on his upside...I like DE in the 3rd, then wait to see what is available at CB and LB in the 4th...But who knows how it's actually going to shake out?
  3. I can't believe the way this one is going! But Martin and Jeffery are literally my 1st choices in Rounds 1 and 2...And Chandler Jones would be my 1st choice in Round #3...Jones is going to need some Pro Coaching and Strength Training, but he's a heck of a good athlete with long arms and Pass Rush ability...He's raw, but I think he's got the kind of upside you're looking for in the 3rd Round... And he'll provide nice Depth at DE... Plus his brother can kick your ass...
  4. Martin and Jeffery would be my dream scenario for Rounds 1 and 2...Then load up on Defense from there...
  5. Totally agree and I've been saying so for Months now...Jeffery's got to stay serious about his conditioning, which I think will be no problem with this Bills locker room keeping him in check...He has serious talent...The type of stuff some guys are just born with...Going all the way back to his HS Highlights he's been a difference maker... That being said there are concerns about Jeffery's work-ethic, quickness, and ability to get off the press...He was hurt badly by the QB change at SC...But he showed what he can do at the Bowl Game when properly motivated...He's going to have to have an amazing Private Workout to work his way back into the 1st Round...But that is possible still... But no question Jeffery is the exact WR I though of when Buddy made that comment...I think he would be a steal in the 2nd Round...
  6. Exactly... It was always a gamble anyway...But now, with Mario...well...I'm not going to expect anything from Merriman...But just for a second imagine what this Bills Pass Rush will be like on 3rd Down if he's healthy...The potential payoff is well worth the gamble... Because this Defense could be flat out nasty if Merriman returns to form...Just nasty...
  7. From what I read they served their 4 Games in weeks 14-17 last Season... It is strange that the Skins would bring Bell in...I can't imagine he's going to get a better deal than The Bills offered to be a RT in Washington...Seems like a desperation move by his Agent to get him some attention... I'm not just saying this because I'm a Bills Fan...But Bell's best move now would definitely be to re-sign with The Bills...At least for a year to see if he can re-gain some career momentum...I think Kalil, Martin, and Adams will be Starting LT's as Rookies, or shortly thereafter...The opportunities as a Starting LT are drying up for DB REAL fast...This may very well work out in The Bills favor...
  8. Well...We'll see... I agree 100% The Bills need Depth at LB...But a lot of this depends on Merriman, his health, and his quickness...If he's back and fairly healthy, Merriman will fill a role as a 3rd Down OLB/DE at the very least...But that does not mean he can't be a BIG help on base downs in a 4-3...It all depends on his health...I think a younger Shawne Merriman could have played just about any LB Position in a 3-4 or a 4-3...He was that good...Now?...Who knows? I think Batten is a REAL bad fit for a 4-3 unless he can move inside...And that's a major projection...Moats at least has a little more experience moving around...But that's not saying much... Anyway...The top 3 look to be Morrison, Shep, and Barnett for now...I think The Bills will look to add a bargain UFA, and at least one Draft Pick at LB...Then, like last year, they'll hold out hope that Merriman turns back to "Light's Out."
  9. Well I said I have no idea just to make it clear I did not have any inside info...I was trying to say I don't know, but I have an educated guess...Probably a poor choice of words...but anyway...
  10. Prediction Just saying...
  11. I'd MUCH rather have Jeffery (or others) in the 2nd than Floyd in the 1st...I like Floyd, but I think #10 is too high for him... And Floyd is being pushed up due to the lack of top end depth at WR (there's PLENTY of depth in the 2nd Round and on)...Rookie WR's rarely make a big impact and chances are Easley, if the BIG if happens and he stays healthy, will be FAR ahead of any Rookie we can grab at #10...No matter who that Rookie is...I'm in favor of grabbing a LT at #10...I think the upside and depth at LT is far better and safer at #10...But we'll see soon enough...
  12. I think The Bills could easily Trade Down a few spots and still land Jonathan Martin or Mike Adams...If they picked up an extra #2, and still got a LT in the 1st Round, that would be HUGE!...It's the best-case-scenario IMHO... Not saying this is my personal opinion of where he should go...But...The feeling is (at least with the guys on NFL Network including Mayock) Tannehill is going Top 9 for sure, and may even go to Cleveland at #4... The guy from The Sporting News they had on "Path To The Draft" last night felt the Bills should Trade Up for Tannehill (which we all know won't happen)... So...Looks like he's going REAL high...
  13. I'm not sure Bell is a goner quite yet...But I do think The Bills want to Draft another OT...And I think that OT is Jonathan Martin or Mike Adams...So...
  14. Totally agree! And for once I don't think it's wishful thinking...
  15. Hope this does not make me sound like a dick...But I was thrilled Wilson was not there...Not because I wish him ill health or anything like that...But because I've been wanting him to move on from the Football Operations for years now...Plus...Lets face it...Listening to Ralph talk at a Presser is near torture nowadays...It's hard even for the most die-hard Bills Fan to sit through that...
  16. Totally agree! He's great, and WNY could use more guys like him on the Radio...I'm also warming up a lot to Joe B...That Kids got a nice future...I'd like to see him and Sal get their own Show together on a regular basis...
  17. Oh that is TOO cool!!! Thanks to everyone who kept all the insanity going around here over the past three days...I did not write as much as I may have normally because I was actually reading for once!!! Seriously though the Shoutbox was fun and the thread was epic...Glad it worked out the way it did...No group deserves this as much as Bills Fans...Bills Fans are the best, and TBD/TSW has always been a collective of the best Bills Fans...Period...End of story... Congrats to everyone! And GO BILLS!!!
  18. Agreed...I've felt The Bills would be leaning towards Martin for a while now...I think outside of Kalil, Martin is the LT with the best long-term upside...
  19. One year? Are you a Bills Fan?
  20. Right...I was more referring to the fact that it's The Bills, and he will probably continue to get hurt if he stays...If he goes he'll be a Pro Bowler for sure!
  21. Chris Brown was just on WGR and said The Bills have made an offer to Bell and have not heard back from him yet...They're assuming he wants to see what kind of offers are out there in Free Agency...I'm interested to see myself...I'd rather see him back, but I fully expect if he is back he'll get hurt in the 2nd or 3rd Game...so...
