  1. I agree that it's okay. A true number isn't needed just yet, an upgrade of wr talent in general and this offense will be serviceable.
  2. I am from new england and made the trip for that game. He was a beast(That day) . He actually gave the ball to a kid sitting two seats over from me after he scored a touchdown.
  3. This is a pretty in depth look into the qb situation, however, to look at where a player was drafted is irrelevant because there are other factors. How long did the player sit for? Was he with the same coaches while sitting out? What were his weapons like. How can any QB be expected to succeed in a carousel of coaching and underwhelming talent at too many positions. I agree that the QB position must be addressed but there is no Magic QB that's about to step in and lead us to the promise land. The front office is a mess and we are just repeating cycles that we have done for the past 20 years. It doesn't matter whether the QB comes from the draft or comes from free agency. As subpar as Tyrod is throwing the ball, we missed the playoffs because our defense was offensive to watch at times. Great Qb's win superbowls but an average QB can get to the playoffs if his support system is strong enough. We can't even get to the playoffs. Drew Brees is the perfect example of a QB that is in a bad situation. Every Bills fan would be ecstatic if we had Drew Brees but guess what, it wouldn't matter. Drew Brees can't play linebacker, he can't play safety, cornerback, and he can't kick field goals. The Saint's suck but they have one of the Best Qb's in history. The Bills are a mess and there isn't a player we need its an entire overhaul and it's frustrating to have lived through this playoff drought and be helpless to do anything. But I don't care if the QB is drafted in the 1st round or 6th round, the chances are he will be walking into an unstable situation that will just give him an uphill battle from the start.
  4. Dear Bills, I don't care that's it's week 1. I don't care that we have injuries. I don't care. I have invested so much time, emotion and money into this team and for what. The passion in this relationship is almost non existent at this point. I mean sure I go through all the trouble of figuring out how to spend some time with the team on sundays. Directv can be a pain in the ass to deal with but I do it, for the Bills. But I just don't feel the passion I once had, I've clearly poured more into this relationship than I will ever get back in return. Sure I still wear jerseys, and I defend the Bills when everyone tells me I could do so much better, but I feel like I'm just going through the motions, I used to billieve in us. Deep down I'm just burnt out. But I never wanted another team, I wanted to be good with you. Now I would never cheat on you, Buffalo, I couldn't. But I would be lying if I said I never looked at other jerseys. When I see Patriots fans gathered together watching their team win, they just seem so happy. Why can't I have that, they say you only accept the love you deserve, well I deserve better. The other day a friend told me that deflategate was bull **** and I agreed, I don't know who I am anymore. We just don't have that spark that we once had. Did you know we had a game on Sunday?!? You didn't even show up. Do you know what it's like when everyone asks me where you are. We had more players on drug suspensions than we had touchdowns. The other day I told you I was working late, Do you know I was sitting alone at Applebee's watching two teams that actually made it to the superbowl. I feel so alone. I think we need some time apart. I'm staying at my mother's house for a few days until things cool off. I know this can't be fixed in a day but Thursday would be a good start. I Still Love you Bills, I just want you to love me back XXL Franchize
  5. 4 Years ago I bought these seats from Stub hub and made a trip to Buffalo. I unfortunately live in New England with the cheaters. But these seats were amazing for me and really made the trip awesome. So where r u, I will buy these seats from you if you are not going to a game, you do not need stub hub anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Can you send your pick back based on the song. Like if the Bills pick and they hear "Nothin but a gangsta party" they can pick again?!?!
  7. Richard Sherman is one of my favorite guys right now. But overall I have to say Eli Manning. Living in New England I love boasting for Eli on the 2 superbowls. New England fans hate him probably more than Peyton.
  8. I love your optimism but I must respectfully disagree with a one thing in particular. The Pats signed Revis and Browner because they got torched by the Broncos in the AFC Champ. It had nothing to do with their concern of Bills wide recievers but more their concern of the Broncos passing game. The Pats expect to be in the AFC Champ game again and need to be prepared to beat the Broncos this time. I mean I hope they don't even make the playoffs...but I think that is more logical of an explanation for those two big signings.
  9. I'm not saying safeties don't matter, just that they should be the last pieces put in place. I use Reed and Polomalu only because they are the top 2 guys in the last 10 years and they were surrounded by talent. Both great and I'm a fan of them both. But if there was a list positional importance on defense, safety would be last.
  10. This is not another Byrd thread. It was however from reading all the Byrd threads that got me thinking. I do not really see too much value in paying for a safety when the rest of the defense is not up to par, not just the Bills but any team. IMO I think the safety position is the least important position on the defense. I know this is a passing league but stopping the run still needs to be a priority. There are some rare occasions that safeties become household names like Polomalu and Reed, but that isn't a necessary component for playoff/championship football. I feel that when a safety is really able to shine is when the defense is complete. When the defense can stop the run consistently so the safety isn't always involved in stopping the run. Both of those players were the toppings to outstanding defenses. IDK, that's my take on it. While I understand the importance of having a savvy safety back there, I think that a safety is probably the worst position to invest in if you can't stop the run or get to the quarterback. So we are halfway there on that one.
  11. I was watching NFL Network today and they were comparing the 49ers passing stats with and without Crabtree in the lineup. One of the stats they pointed out is that the 9ers average 1 more yard per attempt with Crabtree on the field. The analyst then said that the 9ers go down field more with Crabtree on the field. I don't see how that is a fair assessment of YPA if YAC are factored into that. The games crabtree didn't play they may have averaged 1 more YAC per attempt, so how does that show they go downfield with him in the lineup. I would love to see the NFL add a stat for Passing Yards without YAC. It would give a better judgement of how offenses are run. It would be nice to compare YAC to yards without it. It would make for better statistical analysis.
  12. Good teams win some close ones and lose some close ones. Great teams usually find a way to win close ones. Bad teams are 4-8!!!!!!!
