I've been a Bills fan for over 45 years now...And to say I'm no fan of the BN is quite possibly the understatement of the century....Bu I really don't know why you're looking for optimism in the media this year...Sure 8-8 may be a little lazy...But this year, to be perfectly honest, I think it's fair...Maybe even a little wishful... This team has talent...no question...But Lawson and Ragland were MASSIVE pieces of the get-good-fast puzzle...And it's looking like we're going to get 8 games total out of those two at best...TT has to take the next step and it's not a given whatsoever...The Bills still do not have a WR threat that is going to make teams think twice about blanket covering Sammy...The depth on this roster is brutal...And our best Defensive player is going to miss the first 4 games... Who knows? Maybe they overachieve...Maybe TT takes that next step and gets control of this Offense in the 4th Quarter with games on the line...Maybe Sammy takes that next step into the Julio Jones category...Maybe Rex can take a lot of rag-tag pieces and field a consistent Top 10 Defense...Maybe... But I think...with all the maybe's...8-8 is more than fair as a prediction this year...

This is a position of pretty desperate need in Buffalo right now...Coples is most certainly a player that can improve the rotation until Shaq gets in there...At this point the Bills better get help where they can...I mean...At one time in camp this team had IK out there starting...That should tell anyone who wants to know how desperate the situation is at OLB opposite Hughes... In all serious Whaley should be trying to bring Krugar and Coples in...Both have ties with Rex and have played in this defense before...And both had some success in it...It would take a position of weakness and make it at least solid immediately...And if one of them does not pan out they can cut him when Shaq is 100%...

If I had an optimism meter...at this point anyway...it would definitely need to have the ability to register a negative number...

Not sure why there is 44 pages on a subject that can be summed up this easily... It's the Bills...It just figures...

Wow...That's terrible...He will be missed...Most definitely one of the best...

I really like Spikes as a rotational LB...I think...if used properly...he can help any Defense... The Bills should have signed him last year IMHO...I hope he's stayed ready...I also think he's a good locker room guy... I think unfortunately this is a pretty good indicator that Ragland is going to miss significant time...
