Karlos went #feastmode in offseason
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
F***!!! Well played... -
Totally agree with this specific take...And I get that he has to walk a fine line...But good grief... I also feel he is wrong a lot...I mean A LOT...And maybe some of the more hardcore folks here understand what I mean by this...I'm really not trying to be a jerk either...But I don't feel the guy is nearly as knowledgeable about...well actual football as a person with his job should be...I think Sal would be 100% better in that position...And I mean that very sincerely and respectfully...I get what JM has done and who he is...I respect him...I just don't think he's that good...

Seantral AWOL since end of season (not really)
KOKBILLS replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but I'm 100% positive Whaley commented on Henderson's condition not too long before the Draft on WGR...And his comments were basically that Henderson was doing very well...He made a point of saying...basically...The Bills were very encouraged with the news they were getting on Henderson's health... -
John Clayton: Bills "Regressed" in the Offseason
KOKBILLS replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clayton is literally the master...I mean there is no one better...at sounding like he knows exactly what is going on at all times while being completely clueless in actuality... -
Bills Working on extensions for Gilmore & Maybe Tyrod
KOKBILLS replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just answering your question...Not taking sides here... If you assume the Bills replacement QB would have more than 4 yards rushing for the season they would have finished 10th...More than 26 yards rushing from the QB position they finish 9th... Part of the problem with the question is that top 10 rushing teams like Carolina, Seattle, and KC also benefited greatly by running QB's...Take out Newton, Wilson and Alex Smith's yards and the Bills are pretty close to a Top 5 rushing team, even without Tyrod... -
Bears release Matt Slauson -Signed w/ San Diego

I agree...He's an OG...My main thought concerning Slauson is that he's an upgrade from Urbik...Beyond that though...I don't know... -

With all due respect. I gotta say. If that's what you think about Shaq then you have not watched him enough... Go to Draftbreakdown. Hit the the play button. He led College Football in TTFL. 12.5 sacks and just on the 6 or so games I've watched (every down 3 times now) he was a hair away from 10 more. And no need to get too concerned with the flashy stats. Shaq is a smart, disciplined football player. He understands his role and position. He does the right thing. Watch him when an OG pulls his way. He does his job and gives up his body to blow running plays up. His eyes are always in the right place. And he plays to the whistle. He's the opposite of lazy. He played hurt. He's a great kid... No way could you get that later in this Draft. And even if you could that player, whoever he is, did not show that kind of ability against top competition in College football last year... -
It's all up to Ragland...If, like Ray Lewis, he really buys into the work behind the scenes to get better he could become a great Pro... Ray Lewis though? Who has been Ray Lewis besides Ray Lewis? I went back and watched Ragland tapes again today...Goodness...I'm still a little worried about the coverage responsibilities...Clemson hit his Achilles heel hard by running crosses in front of him...But man...When he sees it, and he usually does, he's so quick to the ball...And he's looking to bring pain when he arrives...The majority of the tape I saw he was clearly Alabama's best Defender...Now maybe that had a lot to do with Bama's D-line keeping blockers off of him...Regardless...He's instinctive, and he's really smart on the field...I'm more impressed with him now than I was before the Draft...I just did not want the Bills to take a LB in the 1st Round...But man am I happy to have Ragland now, knowing we got Shaq first...Watching those two play in College was joyous...They were both very, very good...
-
As good as Ragland was for that Alabama D...I think it can be argued successfully that Lawson had an even greater impact last year...When I watched the 7 games on Draftbreakdown before the Draft I can't count how many times Lawson made me go..."Oh wow!..." If anything I think he was a little underrated going into the Draft...Maybe it was the shoulder thing...BTW...I watched the Notre Dame game again yesterday...John Gruden owes Shaq Lawson a public apology...WTF was Gruden talking about?...And it's no knock on Stanley who won a few against Shaq...But still...Shaq was good in that game! And with the game on the line, ND needs a 2 pt conversion...What do they do? That's right...they ran away from Shaq... I totally agree with the Mario point...Shaq Lawson gives up on nothing till the whistle...Even when he was hurt...And he's already bought in 100% months before he gets on the field...He has zero ego issues...If he continues the arch he's on Bills fans are going to absolutely love that kid...

RD 3, Pick 80: DT Adolphus Washington, The Ohio State U
KOKBILLS replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't remember what interview it was with Whaley after the Ragland pick...But he said something similar about the Alabama guys...asking them about who was the the man on their Defense?...Who was the guy they most wanted to have their back?...He said they all said Ragland...It's an interesting approach to Scouting I think... As for Adolphus I think some folks may be jumping the gun in their assumptions about what this kid is, and what he going to be as a Pro longterm...I don't think he's anywhere close to a finished product...But he's got upside...They will use him as a rotational DT, mostly on 3rd and long early...Then try to mold him and work him into something more...It all depends on how much he wants it...Because he's got plenty he can improve upon...And I think he has the measurables and athletic ability to one day be a 5 tech option on this D-line...He ran a 4.95 at his Pro Day (yes I know...Ohio St Pro days...)...He just needs to get in...Work in the gym...get stronger and learn the better technique these coaches are going to teach him... I like upside and athletic ability...Especially in the 2nd and 3rd Round...I assume good coaches are going to improve players with natural ability...The main thing I see with Washington...and Ragland...Is they may improve REALLY quickly purely be eating right and getting on an NFL strength and conditioning training program...Because you can see the natural ability on the tape...Sometimes it jumps off the screen... -
Did y'all see the little spot they did on Striker at the end of the Draft on ESPN? Really good kid...Happy he's going to get his chance with my team...
-
I think the Bills had a very good Draft... But... We really don't want to talk about best ever quite yet...do we? 85 - Bruce, Andre, and Reich...That's two Hall of Famers...One of the best back up QB's ever...Plus a solid starting CB in Derrick Burroughs... Burkett was OK...And Hal Garner was a hell of a special teams player... 87 - Conlon, Odomes, Mueller, Dr Sack, McKeller, and the steal of all steals House Ballard...Plus Biscuit was Drafted that year...I guess you could say in a roundabout way we traded for the #2 overall pick in 87...He never came close to playing for Indy... 2016 has some tough company...

I'd say the title is more like Emperor...Or maybe King apparently...

I'd be happy with Jayron Kearse or Kavon Frazier at S...Braverman or Boehringer at WR...Travis Feeney at OLB... -
RD 5, Pick 156: RB Jonathan Williams, Arkansas
KOKBILLS replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The kids a major sleeper... I really don't think the Bills needed to take a RB...But the player is a real interesting value here...There's no telling how high he could have gone with a full, healthy 2015 season... -

Had to take a Williams I guess... Interesting story...Not sure why they took a RB...But whatever...There had to be at least one head scratcher... -

I just love it! At this point why not get the guy with the upside? If he does not pan out he's a late, late, 4th Round Pick...Who cares? But if he does...Oh boy! I just think this is really smart Drafting... -

I can't remember who I heard talking about the Colts LB's the other day...But he was making the point that they had the slowest LB's in the league... This pick will not help... -
