  1. I don't question Owusu-Koramoah's abilities...He's super intriguing as a prospect. My question is who goes to the sidelines when he comes in? And a player of this caliber should be considered as an every down player fairly early in his NFL career. Jordan Poyer is technically the Bills starting SS...He's not coming off the field. The Bills just paid Matt Milano...He's not coming off the field. He could take all of Klein's snaps, but he'd be a 220 lb SAM? Obviously he would be the guy for the big Nickle, but that's not a ton of downs unless it's vs the Pats... Now if you want to tell me he's going to take snaps from Edmunds on obvious passing Downs I'm all ears. I just doubt the Bills are...
  2. This may be my favorite one yet. Did a little maneuvering to end up with 8 picks total. I just flat out want Javonte Williams (or Etienne)on this Bills Offense. The committee thing will be OK, but Williams will be like a turbo-charger...Melifonwu will have a chance to play some. Robinson could develop real well given time. Everyone knows about Schwartz by now. I'm sure he'll go higher than #161. But he was there and I was not going to pass him up. I did not mess around while addressing the interior D-Line depth with size (Zimmer and Phillips combined for over 600 snaps on Defense in 2020. While they are both OK players I think this is an area the Bills can attack in the 4th-6th Rounds. Kyle Williams was a 5th Rd pick. Pat Williams went undrafted. It can happen. Regardless, I think they can improve their depth inside on D. I realize Star will take up some of those snaps...But it's not like Butler set the world on fire last year, and he was on the field for 428 snaps himself)...Beyer and Rumph are both likely Dev squad guys, but they have real nice upside. I think Rumph can fill a LorAx-type roll in a year or two.
  3. F*** the fish... They'll be watching the Bills win the SB from their couches just like everybody else...
  4. These are crazy measurables/test times for an OT... Goodness...
  5. Good...They should have interest in him... They should also have interest in Jaelon Darden and Anthony Schwartz. The Bills can create some really nice match-up problems for Defenses with the added speed one of the WR's would bring...
  6. Slaton is a bit of a sleeper. I like him. If he puts it all together he could really be something. At worst I think he's a good rotational 1/0 tech...😎
  7. Thanks Bro...I miss our chats...
  8. Well that came out of nowhere...
  9. Oh I agree Cincy is a great option for Golladay...I'm a Burrow fan...But the conversation was about an assumption that he would waltz into Cincy and be the clear cut #1 guy...And I don't agree with that...It's possible. But I also think he's coming off an injury plagued season, he has to learn a new Offense, and Burrow clearly has built some chemistry with Tee Higgins in their Rookie seasons. Plus I do not believe, as good as Golladay has looked at times, that he is a proven NFL #1 WR in the Diggs, Hopkins, Adams, or even Metcalf mold. He certainly can move into that category. He has the natural ability for sure. But so far in his career he has not been a complete WR yet. Maybe it was Detroit's Offense...We'll see...
  10. Be careful? OK...I've only been doing this for 30 plus years...I have a proven history of getting a ton of this correct right here on TSW since the mid 90's...But thanks for the advice Dave... Seriously though I understand what you're saying...Rest assured I'm taking many things beyond statistics into consideration when evaluating NFL players and Draft picks...
  11. I don't disagree...Like I said Golladay's ceiling is clearly very high... But I would not sleep on Higgins there...He had a very nice Rookie season in only 11 games with Burrow. And there was clearly a chemistry building between those 2...
  12. Really? OK...He had back to back 1000 yd seasons in 2018 and 2019...He is an absolute physical beast when healthy...I'll give you that...But his best year (2019) was only 17 yds a game better than Higgins rookie year, with a Rookie QB that went down in week 11 turning the passing game over to...Basically nothing...Higgins still had 67 receptions as a Rookie which is 2 better than Golladay's 2019 season...Golladay's best season for receptions was 2018 with 70... Boyd also had back to back 1000 yd seasons in 2018 and 19...Golladay did have 179 more yds total and 4 more TD's in those 2 seasons combined...He played one more game than Boyd from 2018-2019. But Boyd also had 31 more receptions in those 2 years combined. I think a heathy Golladay is a very good NFL WR...And certainly his upside is better...Don't get me wrong...But he is not WAY better than Boyd. And while Higgins is a little bit of a projection right now, he's certainly off to a better career start than Golladay... Maybe it was just the way he was used in Detriot...But Golladay certainly has not proven he's a complete NFL WR...He's not even in the same league as the elite WR's yet...Maybe he'll get there...But he's not there yet.
  13. OK...But why Cincy then? Assuming Burrow comes back healthy, and I think that a fair assumption. They have Boyd and Higgins already...And the way Higgins played with Burrow once they got clicking last year, his projection is a clear #1 in Cincy... If Golladay is only looking to looking to pile up #1 WR stats in 2021, I don't think Cincy is the best option.
  14. Assuming he's ready to go and back to form it's all good... We can argue all day about whether or not Star is overpaid...That's fair...But there is ZERO doubt the Bills had a major drop-off at the 1 and zero without him...Especially early in the season when they were absolutely gashed... Are there better NFL DT's at doing what Star does? Absolutely. Are any of them on the Bills roster? Absolutely not... Good news...
  15. It is the RB's to a large extent...And the Bills do know it...They are just trying to be nice about it and not throw Singletary particularly under the bus because they like the kid... But I have no doubt they want a feature back. And I also have no doubt they don't think either Moss or Singletary fit that role 100%... They can get Javonte Williams in a slight trade down scenario from #30...IMHO that is a HUGE upgrade from Moss or Singletary...
  16. Now this would interest me...
  17. Exactly...Some of the panic on this thread is cracking me up... Jesus...Looks like there is still some PTSD remaining out there from the Brady years. Just a heads up folks...There was not one single off season the Pats worried about the Bills during the Brady years and the drought...Not one...We have the hammer now folks...Enjoy it...
  18. As many, many teams have learned in the past. If you have your guy at QB, you better be prepared to go up and get him. Because staying put is a recipe for getting locked out in this Draft IMHO.. I live in NC...Most of my immediate family down here are die-hard Panthers fans...They are all 100% convinced the Panthers will take Lance at #8...We'll see I guess, but IF so that's the 4th QB gone at #8 overall...That's a worst-case-scenario for the Pats leaving 7 spots above them for a team to jump up and grab Mac... Should be interesting...Admittedly I hope they get locked out...
  19. I'm a BIG Javonte fan...And when I say big...I mean HUGE... I'd like to see the Bills trade down from 30, grab an extra pick or two, and Draft Williams...That kid is special...
  20. Smoke was a Cap casualty due to the Covid restrictions and nothing else. If the Cap was normal in 2021 no way would they have cut him.
  21. That's a hometown deal folks! No way the Bills get that deal done at $11 Mil average annual unless they are a winning Franchise. Big time props to McBeane...
