It looks like Bills Management thinks it is the RBs.
KOKBILLS replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is the RB's to a large extent...And the Bills do know it...They are just trying to be nice about it and not throw Singletary particularly under the bus because they like the kid... But I have no doubt they want a feature back. And I also have no doubt they don't think either Moss or Singletary fit that role 100%... They can get Javonte Williams in a slight trade down scenario from #30...IMHO that is a HUGE upgrade from Moss or Singletary... -

Now this would interest me... -
Exactly...Some of the panic on this thread is cracking me up... Jesus...Looks like there is still some PTSD remaining out there from the Brady years. Just a heads up folks...There was not one single off season the Pats worried about the Bills during the Brady years and the drought...Not one...We have the hammer now folks...Enjoy it...

Can someone explain to me the Pats strategy?
KOKBILLS replied to appoo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As many, many teams have learned in the past. If you have your guy at QB, you better be prepared to go up and get him. Because staying put is a recipe for getting locked out in this Draft IMHO.. I live in NC...Most of my immediate family down here are die-hard Panthers fans...They are all 100% convinced the Panthers will take Lance at #8...We'll see I guess, but IF so that's the 4th QB gone at #8 overall...That's a worst-case-scenario for the Pats leaving 7 spots above them for a team to jump up and grab Mac... Should be interesting...Admittedly I hope they get locked out... -
Any interest in Saquon Barkley?

I'm a BIG Javonte fan...And when I say big...I mean HUGE... I'd like to see the Bills trade down from 30, grab an extra pick or two, and Draft Williams...That kid is special... -

Texans coaching staff on Watt - bitter or truthful?
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Cards have to leap-frog every NFC Playoff team from 2020, including 2 in their Division, and the SB Champs. The Bills have to leapfrog KC and the SB Champs who exposed KC...And that's IF TB gets back to the SB next year... So... -
Texans coaching staff on Watt - bitter or truthful?
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True or not, the guy let the narrative that his main concern was to go to a team that can win a Championship run wild, then turns around and takes the most cash from a team that did not even get a Wildcard Playoff birth in 2020... So I'm a little more apt to believe a report like this today than I was yesterday... -
Bills prospect Syracuse CB Ifeatu Melifonwu
KOKBILLS replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know... JMO...But for the Bills to go CB that high they would have to hit a few grand slams during the FA period... I'm not an anti-CB guy either. But I'm not sure the talent available matches up with the value late in the 1st of this Draft, and for me it's a hard positional sell high based on where I see this teams glaring needs... I'll reserve judgment till after the FA period is up. But the opposite CB position being upgraded, while admittingly a need, is not in my top 3...maybe even 4...to get this team where it needs to go... We'll see...😎 -
I really don't understand why we can't all agree on some very basic points here... The Titans, Browns, Steelers, and Packers all suck... The Bills...JJ Watt or not, are going to win the SB next year because they quite literally have the son of Zeus playing QB for them... Do facts not matter any longer? It's science folks...
-
Exactly... He really has been much better in Tennessee...And I certainly give him a lot of credit for reviving his career. But give Josh a running game like that with Henry in the backfield and we may average 50 a game...

I honestly just assumed Watt had lost a step so-to-speak...So I went back and watched what I could from 2020... What I saw was still pretty damn good at times. The instincts are still good, and when he sees it he can beat a single block and still knife into the backfield. He still gets his hands up and knocks down passes, and he makes big plays every once in a while too. I really did not consider Watt much for this offseason plan. But I've moved a lot on him to the point where now I feel like IF the Bills were to go all out to bring him in for a couple years I'm AOK with it. Even if it meant blowing up a lot of the current line and Drafting a couple kids to add to him, Oliver, and Epenesa (I'm leaving a lot out from that equation because if the Bills go fishing for salary I think Jefferson, Butler, Addison, and Hughes are all possibilities to be cut...Though I realize they won't ALL be cut)... Anyway...Come on JJ...
-
His analytics for 2020 were very, very good...His sack numbers were down, but he was getting no help and constant double teams. I think I read he led the league in stops behind the line vs the run...

I know this is a bit of a homer opinion, but after listening to John McClain this morning on WGR I think it's going to come down to Buffalo, Tennessee, or Green Bay for Watt... If anyone knows what Watt is thinking from the media side it would be McClain, and what were the first words out of him this morning concerning JJ? It will not be about the money...He wants to win a SB... The GB/WI connections certainly give them a leg up. But GB has bigger Cap issues than the Bills do and they do not have the options to purge along the D-Line that the Bills have in order to make room for JJ...And if I'm betting on a QB to get me to the dance I'm certainly going to give the nod to Josh over Tannehill...Though I do admit Tenn has some very nice pieces on the Offensive side. I really think if it's all about winning a SB, and fitting in, the Bills have a great shot...We'll see...

The Bills have plenty of opportunity to shave salary along the D-Line, and if it means opening up enough to bring Watt in for a year or two I'm 100% on board. Let face it, Watt is picture-perfect made for this organization. He's going to be a leader and a process guy from day 1...He'll bring a skill set to the D-Line that the Bills desperately need right now. He's going to make everyone around him better. He's still got that knack for knifing into the backfield with quicks, and I'm not sure there has ever been a better D-Lineman in NFL history and knocking down passes. The Bills REALLY struggled at times on 3rd Down Defense in 2020...If you got JJ and just played him on 3rd Downs there would be a big improvement. It's a no-brainer IMHO...

It's Officially That Time Of Year Again - Post Your 2021 Mock Drafts
KOKBILLS replied to H2o's topic in College Football
I traded down twice. Picked up an extra 3, 4, and 7...I'm a Trade Down philosophy drafter anyway, but I feel with the Cap restrictions the Bills will be dealing with Rookie contracts will be even more coveted this year... Anyway...
