  1. Did Kincaid practice today? I am worried about his knee situation. And what about Knox? Is he still not practicing? Are we going into the season with Davidson and Hawes as our starting two TE's? That would be something. Can Keith McKeller or Jay Reimersma still move? (half joking only)
  2. I know what you are saying. And if he looks good, he is thinking someone will give him a shot, if he doesn't stick with the Bills. I remember in one of the preseason games, maybe against Chicago (did we play Carolina in the preseason last year also?) that he looked real solid making some plays.
  3. The guy is an odd dude. Noone wants that in the NFL. Pete Carroll is an old school 70 something year old coach. He doesn't need or want any distractions. Plus Wilkins foot is a mess. He has the Deuce Staley type injury. Les Franc fractures are real tough to come back from. Have a nice life Wilkins. Mitch Morse and Josh Allen wish you well loading packages on the UPS loading dock.
  4. Football is physical and violent. Everyone on your 53 man roster and practice squad has to be at least good enough to hold their own starting at their respective positions. Guys like Baylon Spector have not been that. Hopefully he can stay healthy and show if he deserves to be on an NFL field. Unless a guy is carted off the field, I think these are nicked up type injuries. And for the most part doesn't sound too serious. Hopefully thats true for Shavers. I am concerned a bit about Spencer Brown. Guy hasn't practiced yet. Has back issues, and is a real tall dude. Not a good mix.
  5. Dion Cain had a real strong preseason last year. I think he could fight for the sixth WR spot on the roster. Has some burst, decent size and good hands. Hope he gets a fair shot.
  6. I loved watching Sterling Sharpe play. Would have been one of the best ever, except for the injury. Still great for the time that he played. Such a classier guy than his horse mouth brother.
  7. Good point about playing in shorts versus playing in pads. You just don't hear much anymore about NFL training camp practices being ultra physical. Yes they will do some hitting once the pads go on. But guys aren't beating the tar out of their teammates too often anymore. (Joint practices between two different teams will get more physical.) They have to keep the friendly fire stuff to a minimum. If it was all on violence, Taylor Rapp would be injured, and take out a few offensive players in the process. The Oklahoma drill is certainly a thing of the past. Hard to believe when my kid played pee wee football growing up in the suburbs of Atlanta in the mid 2000's, they were doing the Oklahoma drill at the end of a lot of practices when the kids were 6 and 7. I kid you not. And the parents were all gathered round screaming and cheering their kids on like they were gladiators. But lets hope all our receivers look good this year. Palmer Moore Shakir and Samuel are all fast. And Coleman can be the physical guy. He just needs to find his game. Fingers crossed.
  8. Keon may just not be ready to have a starting role on an NFL team. I say this thinking back to Eric Moulds career. He did not blossom until year 3 with Doug Flutie. And then was a big time beast for the rest of his career as a Bill. That being said lets hope Keon can get it going. Separation seems to be a problem for the young man. And his hands don't seem great either when it comes to catching contested balls. Not good when separation is a problem. Our starters at WR could very well be Moore, Palmer and Shakir. Not a bad triumvirate if I do say so.
  9. Maybe he strengthened his leg. I was just always really surprised how when he was punting for Michigan, that we could not find someone better. When we always had lights out kickers. But high school level punters. We still won the Nat Championship in 2023. Maybe he was a good luck charm or something. Did you ever hear of Charles Woodson, Lamar Woodley or Tom Brady? How about Jay Reimersma or Rashawn Gary? I have had enough.
  10. He looked good at Oregon a few years back. Especially in the bowl game against I believe Oklahoma. We probably have the worst backups collectively in the league. Although I still have hope that Mike White can find the magic he had several years back for a few games with the Jets. I just cringe when I see Mitch Trubisky with that stupid smile wearing a Bills uniform.
  11. I am tired of the entire off season. It goes on forever. Feels like its been two years since we last played a game. Kincaid has been mediocre at best since coming in the league. He has not dominated one single game he has played in, in two years. And for a 1st round draft pick that is disappointing. But I am not ready to say he is a bust. But everyone has their own opinion on every player for the most part. There are only very few who everyone think are phenomenal. And Kincaid aint one of them. I just want to see him be a difference maker every week. Scott Chandler was not a great TE. But he made a lot of big catches, especially TD's for the Bills. Same with Pete Metzellars and Keith McKeller. I would not say they were great players. But they were difference makers for the team in their eras. Kincaid needs to stop being invisible more than he is a difference maker.
  12. The guy was trash at Michigan. I swear he never punted for over 40 yards on any kick. (I am an alum and watch all their games) I was shocked when he was drafted by the Bengals. And just as perplexed when he was signed by the Bills. When I was in school there in the Mid 80's we had a punter by the name of Monty Robbins. Guy was great. I wonder if he was Brad Robbins father. LOL But seriously Brad Robbins has no leg. You want a kicker with a strong leg, get a Michigan kicker. We have had a lot of good ones over the years. Our kicker last year, who fortunately is coming back, last name Zvada is tremendous. As far as punters go, we haven't had a real good one probably since Brad's namesake Monty who punted in mid 80's in the Harbaugh era. Go Blue. And Go Bills!!
  13. Trubisky had a couple good games in 2018. He is terrible and would have trouble starting on a lot of top 25 college teams at this point. He can’t throw an accurate pass more than 10 yards down the field. The Bills should have drafted Joe Milton a couple years ago. The guy at least has some talent. I agree Mike White is nothing special either. The Bills should have kept Anthony Brown last season. Has more talent than any of the backups. I guess McDermott likes to keep the QB room very snowy if you catch my drift.
  14. Why do you like what we have better? Knox has minimal athleticism. And Kincaid has been a pretty big disappointment so far. Let’s hope he shows a whole lot more this season. I think all things being equal Fant has more talent than Knox. But the Bills have always loved the low ceiling Knox and gave him much too big of a contract extension. Not sure why when his upside has never been anything special. But he can block and make the occasional big play like the catch he had at Detroit.
  15. Who says Shakir is overrated ? The Bills didn’t use him correctly for much of last year throwing the behind the line of scrimmage screen pass to him continuously. Garrett Wilson is good. Never said he wasn’t. Just don’t think he is as special as you do. And he is a pouter/complainer. Watch what happens when Fields is afraid to throw the ball and looks like a deer in headlights, as he has for much of his career. Wilson will lose his mind. Lol
  16. That's my opinion Kirby. I don't find him to be elite. Those kinds of terms are thrown around way too much in today's game. The Bills have lacked in gathering talent at the WR position. And that's on Beane. However, I just do not see a lot of difference from Wilson to Shakir. The TD Shakir scored against the Steelers in the playoffs two years ago is as good as it gets running after the catch at the NFL level. So Wilson is #10 big deal. Once you are below the top 5 in anything it really doesn't matter. Do you know golf? Scheffler and Rory are pretty much top 2. With DeChambeau and Scheuffle not too far back on a given week. But once you are down to 10-30 its throwing names in a hat my friend.
  17. Ok Kirby. I think Shakir is a baller. I am not downplaying Wilson in the slightest. I think he is a good receiver. But am I afraid of him when we play the Jets? Absolutely not. Good for you that you love his game. He looks like a petulant child on the sidelines. Yes Tyreek Hill has been dominant. DeVonta Smith is a good receiver. Can he be physically bullied around on the field? Yes he can. I don't care what era we are talking about. You need to play physical defense to be a good football team. And that includes roughing up receivers. Now you can't give the head shot by the safety coming across the field any longer. That just gets you personal fouls and fines. (The Brian Dawkins special.) I certainly understand that. But you still need to not let guys roam free all over the field.
  18. There O line looked like trash last year. And has pretty much been that way since Kevin Mawae retired. Is Tyron Smith still playing for them? I think he got stuck in his stance in week 9 last year, and hasn't moved since.
  19. Screw the players? Have you seen some of the contracts the owners are handing out to guys who are big time? And some not so much big time? Football is a team game. It is not so much about individual players except a select few QB's, a few star WR's and a few special talents on Defense. The rest of the players are pretty much interchangeable. There is a salary cap which levels the playing field, and makes you fit the best 53 players you can find in a finite pool of money. How is that screwing the players? Shemar Stewart had 1 1/2 sacks last year at Texas A & M. That is laughable. He should feel blessed that the Bengals even drafted him in the 1st round. Sign your contract, and prove to them that you are a bad ass that belongs on an NFL field. In the meantime he still may need to prove that he belongs on an SEC field with the ***** numbers he put up last year.
  20. I am saying he looks as fragile as a pixie stick. And I think he is a good, but not spectacular player. Shakir is way more twitchy. Just probably not as fast in straight line speed.
  21. The problem is that DB's are not allowed to punish WR's any longer. One big hit on this guy going across the middle, and he is not getting up anytime soon. I can just vision if Steve Atwater would have hit him. His career might have ended. I think Benford and Hairston will shut him down.
  22. When we drafted Kincaid, I was ecstatic. I watched him play a bunch at Utah his final season, and he was a beast. Then he comes to the Bills and is catching 5 yard outs. Completely different then what he was doing at Utah, which was running seam patterns up the field. Granted he was playing against the weak PAC 12 defenses a few years ago. But man I have really been surprised at how irrelevant he has been on the Bills since he got here. He really has not been able to beat out a very mediocre TE in Dawson Knox, who has marginal receiving skills. Not sure what has happened there. Anyone want to chime in, as to where the disconnect has been with Kincaid in our offense so far? (I know he was injured in the second half of last year. But he has not dominated one game since becoming a Bill.)
  23. That is a pretty liberal use of the word Superstar if you ask me. In today's NFL the way they throw the ball around on a lot of teams (we aren't really one of those teams) getting 1000 yards receiving in 17 games is nothing tremendous. And even if you have scrubs at QB, if you throw 40-50 x's per game, any NFL QB, (even Spencer Ratler types) can throw for 300 yards fairly often. Wilson is a nice WR. But he drops a lot of passes. And is moody as can be. Seems to be pouting on the sidelines every game.
  24. Taron is too small to play such a physical brand of football. He is always beating the hell out of himself. If he can make it to week 5 without being concussed or suffering some type of soft tissue injury, I will be impressed. Can Hancock play slot corner? And what about Ingram? I know people talk about Cam Lewis. And he plays all out. But the guy is just not overly athletic.
