  1. Still need one more guy SC because Von is no sure thing. But I like resigning AJ a lot. He should be just coming into his prime.
  2. They were a mess at the end of last season. Not worried about the Jags. That being said, good for Morse. Real solid player and a real good leader. Best of luck. But won't mind seeing Trevor boy get his assed kick all season long..
  3. Thanks for explaining yourself. Narrowing it down to the media always saying "why can't Allen beat Mahomes" makes more sense. That is always the simplistic and lazy version of things. Its a team game, way more then individual. So there can be a lot more reasons then QB 1 beating QB 2. But most in the national media just go for the easy take, and don't dig real deep.
  4. No way Diggs is elite anymore. I would take good and occasionally very good for the next 2 years and be ecstatic. And that is the best ending that is ever happening for his career w the Buffalo Bills Douglas was a great pickup last year. He is tough smart. a leader. Just a dam good defensive back.
  5. Wilson is a cancer. And he really isn’t very good anymore.
  6. He has been decent at times. Tough player. Good teammate. Seems to get nicked up a good bit. Mediocre hands-can’t seem to catch the low passes very well. And isn’t winning a lot of jump ball type throws because he isn’t super athletic. Not a high ceiling player but doesn’t suck. But certainly seems overpaid for his production. Kincaid on the other hand can dominate and be a beast every week if he gets a little stronger and we make him a focal point of the offense which I think we will do.
  7. Dion has been a good solid (but not great) player for us. He still gets beat at times and starts getting grabby. A good leader also. But not a generational talent. He is certainly not top 5 at his position. If we were not going to pay Morse 8 mill this year, I can not imagine Beane paying Dawkins $20 mill going forward. But I don’t make those decisions for the team. Maybe Van De Mark can play LT. Or we draft one next year w a high pick. Or Dawkins takes a reasonable extension so he can finish his career w the Bills. Who do you think was better John Fina or Dion Dawkins?
  8. Wow you sure sound paranoid. I follow the Bills religiously And I try and stay on top of the rest of the NFL as much as I can. Who is bashing the Bills? We have done well the past 6-7 years. Have a great QB. And an overall exciting team. And a great fan base. But we haven’t played in the Super Bowl. And our head coach is a pretty bland guy. And KC has won 3. And played in 4 in the past 5 years. So of course they will get props. Colin Cowherd always give us props. And so do many others who aren’t just fixated on black QB’s. I just worry about what the team is doing to improve in the offseason and how we are building our team. Also what other teams are doing. Because I just love the NFL. And like to be in the know. I don’t listen to all the jibber jabber because I don’t think it matters. There are 31 other teams in the NFL. And we’ll over 100 D1 college teams. I like to talk w fans from other teams than nine. (Bills and Michigan Wolverines) and get their take on things. Most respect the Bills and the Wolverines, as they should. So I don’t know where all this paranoia is coming from. When we win the Super Bowl we will be the king of the castle. And that is how it should be.
  9. Those guys are good players, but not overly special. Except for probably Hamilton. The guys in the post you responded to were all HOF or border line HOF players. The game has changed where big hits are not what safety's do anymore. They basically are zone corners covering the deep part of the field. Defense has basically become a D Line and 7 guys between 190-225 pounds running around trying to be disruptive. They all seem pretty interchangeable except for a few special guys who can play boundary corner and cover the games best WR's one on one. The perfect example of that was the Cowboys defense. That did not work out so well against the Bills, or the Packers in the playoffs. Think about this. The Bills play little Taron Johnson as a hybrid LB at times. That would never have happened years ago. Very interesting.
  10. He was terrible for the Cowboys at the end of last season. He had nothing left against Green Bay in the playoffs.
  11. No one is mocking anything Alpha. Tre’s time came and went due to injury. He hasn’t really been a major part of the team in over 2 seasons. He had a great start to his career. But the second part was all injury. Poyer was a stud who brought his best every week. I loved his game. But he lost a a step or two. Time to go. That’s pro sports. Real good guy and a good leader. But we need better then Poyer could give anymore. Morse was a war horse. Old school tough player. Great leader also. But he was expensive and we had to make the move. A very good player and much respected. But you can’t look back. We need to be better next season. I think Beane today is laying the groundwork for that. And that’s what really matters. FWIW I still wear my Bruce Paup jersey sometimes for big games. But I am not sad he is long gone from the team. That’s sports. Hopefully full of good memories. And love the players while they wear your team’s colors. i do miss Wayne Gretzky playing still. But he is a special case.
  12. Diggs wasn't playing 90-100% of snaps this past year. There is plenty of footballs for everyone. And I like Shakir also. But nothing wrong with having at least 4 good WR's.
  13. Great post about Wilson. Agree completely. He really could be done at this point. Seattle just took Denver to the woodshed on that trade. Pete Carroll is still laughing about it.
  14. Thanks for that tidbit. I remember Mike too. The younger Shulas did not quite follow well in their Dad's footsteps. Maybe they should have worked at his steak houses in S. Florida instead..
  15. Was Mike Shula the Shula who coached the Bengals into the abyss in the 90's after Sam Wyche left? That guys record was absolutely terrible.
  16. I am sure we could make good use of Jerry Jeudy as a starting WR with Josh Allen. If a guy can run fast, run good routes and has solid hands, he can play for us regardless of who else we have. That's like saying we can't have more then one Stefan Diggs. LOL
  17. I am pumped about the 3rd round pick for Edmunds. The best value we got since we drafted him was the 3rd round comp pick for letting him go. I knew there had to be something good about over drafting Tremaine Edmunds in 2018. Thank god Beane and the Bills moved on. Terrell Bernard is such a better fit for our defense.
  18. I have owned a business for almost 3 decades also. I have never disrespected an employee of mine. Always treated everyone right. If you are smart, work hard and get along with your co workers reasonably well, you should always do well in most companies. If you are lazy, an #######, and/or are stupid, you won't do well at in too many industries. And will probably be fired pretty quickly..
  19. He was excellent. Mortenson and NFL Football were just synonymous with each other. Sad to see how sick he looked in his later years. But the guy kept doing what he loved until the end. That is awesome in itself. God bless him and his loved ones.
  20. Go on You Tube and watch the season recap of the 1970 or 1971 NFL season. It was unbelievably brutal the hits that were being put on QB's back then. And the tenor of the video was how positive this was. And that the fans were loving the game more and more. Interesting to see how the game has changed. I started watching in the early to mid 70's when I was a youngster, and the game certainly has changed. It was good then. And it is still good now. It was just glamorized back then as a gladiator sport of violence physicality and intimidation. With the Raiders and Steelers symbolizing that. The Vikings and Rams were also considered very physical teams back then. But the same can be said about hockey as well. Completely different game today then 50 years ago. And life in general from 50+ years ago til now has evolved the same way. Watch videos of protests in the 60's and 70's. The cops used to beat the tar out of protestors with impunity. Now they tiptoe around afraid to do much of anything. You decide which was a better way.
  21. The toe tap game against the Colts-that was the AFC Wild Card game in 2020 right? Our first playoff win since 1995. Those were some real nice catches by Gabe in that game. And the drive that Josh led before halftime in that game starting at our own 2 or 3 yard line is legendary. I just wish Gabe was more dominant on a consistent basis. And had a little more twitchy explosiveness to his game. But he was a solid player.
  22. One of your favorite Bills players ever??!! Seriously?? Gabe had some nice games over the years. Seemed like a good guy. And was a hard worker. But certainly not an overall game changer on a consistent basis. He isn't twitchy or sudden in his movements. Has mediocre athleticism hands and speed. But if you love him, good for you I suppose. He looks and reminds me of Mike Evans. A poor man's Mike Evans. We certainly need more explosiveness at the WR position to compete for a Super Bowl. Lets hope that happens this offseason.
  23. I agree with your assessment. The six game win streak late in the season to get us to the divisional round where we only lost by a missed FG to the Chiefs showed the heart grit and toughness of the team. And said a lot about McDermott leadership ability. The defense just ran out of gas because of all the injuries. We get healthy and a little younger on defense. And get some explosion with some new WR's (Both of which I think Beane will make a priority) and I see our team being a strong contender again. The salary cap seems pretty easy to manipulate. And I think a lot of players want to play for a winning organization like the Bills. Rather then take maybe a little more to play for a scrub team (Bears, Commanders, Panthers, etc) who have a lot of salary cap space. We will be fine when the dust settles.
  24. What alternate reality are you living in Jim Bob? To say that Spector Teller Hamlin Hodgins McCloud and Neal have been hits for us is categorically false. None have done anything for the Bills to help towards winning a championship. (Maybe Spector still does.) Drafting guys is one thing. But keeping them on your team is also part of the process.
