  1. Von can't move anymore. He is beyond slow. Hyde can't cover anymore. He was awful tonite. And has been getting beat all year. Poyer is almost as bad in coverage. At least he can still hit. We need some serious young talent on defense.
  2. I agree. Bills should have went for it on 4th and 7 in OT, instead of kicking the FG. No way we were stopping Philly when they got the ball. The D was gassed. Put the ball in your best players hands. Thats #17. McDermott is gutless. He is the reason we are 6-6. He coaches scared.. Looks scared out there.
  3. The Chiefs had two of the best TE's of all time. Pretty impressive. And Gonzalez played when you could really rough guys up, and he still dominated. One of the all time best players of the modern era, period.
  4. Beane has done a good job w the roster for the most part. Trading up for Edmonds was a mistake. He is an overpaid JAG w no instincts or smarts for the game. The Rasul Douglas trade was excellent. Drafting Tyler Bass 4 years ago in the 6th round was a big time underrated move. Signing an old Von Miller was not great. Cole Beasley was a great free agent signing. Benford and Bernard play well beyond their years. Cook is a baller. Gabe Davis is not. The O line has been much better this year. Connor McGovern has been a good signing. Torrence was a good pick. Cody Ford was not. Dalton Kincaid was a big time pick. And Shakir is starting to come into his own w a pretty high ceiling. But overall the team is lacking speed at the receiver position. That needs to be fixed this offseason. We can do much better then Sherfield Harty and Davis. Our head coach is a question mark as well. let’s see how this roster stacks up this next month against the upper echelon teams. That will give us a good idea of where we are at and what we need come next season.
  5. Kincaid was great at Utah and he will be great for the Bills. The guy is an excellent football player. The next TE we need to draft will be in 2 years. Colston Loveland from Michigan. 6’5 and can run w great hands. He is only a sophomore. But will be a stud in the NFL when it’s his time. And by then it will be time to move on from Knox who is athletically limited, and just can’t make big time catches.
  6. Douglas and Benford is a great CB tandem. Dane is good, but not as good as Douglas and Benford. He gets hurt a lot also because he plays hard, but is slightly built. Maybe he can play slot because TJ is a liability in coverage. If he was bigger he would be a great LB. The guy is fearless and tough. Just too small.
  7. Agree about KC's receivers. MVS and Watson have stone hands. And the rest, who cares. Kelce will catch some passes. But he seems to be running in mud. Their defense is good. But Bolton is injured. And Frank Clark left. I think our O line has improved considerably this season. Both in the run game and pass protection. (the one run play I would like to see put to bed is handing off to Cook from the shotgun when he run laterally 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage looking for a crease to cut through or to get around the outside. That play constantly gets blown up for a big loss every time.) Both games will be tough matches. We will see how good a team we have in the next few weeks.
  8. I have always liked AJ Klein's game. He brings a toughness that is always needed when playing defense. He can't run like he used to. But if one of our top 3 LB's go down, I think he and/or Matekevich can step in at least in the short term.
  9. If we play w the same energy and intensity against Philly and KC that we played w against the Jets, we will have a good chance to win both games. Also need to play smart-don’t take stupid penalties and get good in game coaching. The Chiefs offense and Mahomes look stale. Kelce looks to have finally hit the wall. They are beatable. The Eagles are physical. But their D is not scary good. And our O line has been good running the ball this year. Key on Hurts and Swift. Benford and Douglas can cover Brown and Smith. They are not uncoverable in the slightest. And Goedert is injured. Let’s go Buffalo!!
  10. Some guys need more reps to get their feel for the game and gain confidence. Dodson has definitely improved his play. He Bernard and Williams are a nice group of LB’s. Bernard and Williams have a higher ceiling than Edmonds. And Dodson is getting there also.
  11. There’s a reason the Colts cut him. Our LB’s have looked good as the season has gone along. Even w/o Milano. No reason to rock the boat at this point. it there is a solid WR available, that would be a bigger need. As we are getting nothing noteworthy out of Gabe Davis. Can never have enough weapons. But I do like Ty Johnson. That guy plays hard. He can be our # 2 RB next year behind Cook.
  12. The Giants loss at home was brutal. They must have run for well over 200 yards. is McDermott really a whole lot better then Jauron? Would Jauron have done any worse with Josh Allen then McDermott ? I remember the Cowboys loss like it was yesterday. Brutal! Donte Witner not recovering the onside kick. And Nick Folk kicking a 53yard FG. Everytime I see him kick I think about that game. As for this season, let’s hope Joe Brady can scheme some really good plays. The offense has been lousy since the Miami game accept for the 1st half of the Tampa game. The problem is our WR group pretty much sucks. Even Diggs is not making many plays. The two best players on the Bills offense this year have been Cook and Kincaid. We need much better overall at WR. I can’t think of many teams w worse WR group than us. Can any of you? That being said, if the Bills miss the playoffs, McDermott needs to go. Even w the WR group we have and the injuries. We have Josh frikin Allen. And the team is clueless how to maximize his talent. The performances the past 6 weeks have been consistently ugly. We look like *****. McDermott has no clue. Because he is not glib, people think he is smart. He sucks as a head coach. I have not missed a game since the end of the 1994 season. I know my team. And I know football. If we don’t go at least 5-2 w a chance to win the division the final week of the season. McDermott needs to get the ***** out of Buffalo.
  13. He has been playing QB. He has made some bad decisions on where to throw the ball. But guys have not been open much with the routes and scheme we have been running. Here is a telling stat. Diggs yards per catch this year is 11.9! That horrible. He is supposed to be a top WR. It needs to be up a lot closer to at least 15. My point is we are running way too many routes near the line of scrimmage. A football field is long and wide. Guys need to be all over the place. Kincaid's yards per catch is only 8.7. Are you kidding me? That's awful for a TE w this guys talent to get down the field. Dorsey's scheme completely choked down the offense. Start running guys at least 10,15, 20+ yards down the field and things will open up. Watch the highlights from the Lions-Chargers game. Lions had guys running all over the field. Both teams did for that matter.
  14. Need better coaching. And better playmakers around Josh to make the Super Bowl a reality. The O line has been solid for the most part this year. And needs to continue to stay that way going forward. Favre had good coaching especially with Mike Holmgren. And a lot of good receivers throughout his career. Of course he made them better with his play. But guys like Gabe Davis would not have been starting or playing much for that matter on the Favre era Packers.
  15. Good point Roy Batty. The South and North are quite different. But there are good people all over. I live part time in Fort Lauderdale. Great people in South Florida. Very friendly. I was in Detroit over the past weekend to see two Metallica concerts at Ford Field. My girlfriend and I stayed downtown. Had a great time. People were all friendly solid down to earth good folks. They like to party a lot and have fun. The media portrays a narrative that Americans hate each other. I don't think that's true for the most part. You have been there a whole bunch. I will respect your first hand opinion. That last sentence was funny.
  16. What is so bad about Texas that you had to add that to your response? I don't live in Texas. Have been there a few times (Dallas and Austin are nice places) And I don't live in the Buffalo area (did when I was younger) so I am curious what that is about?
  17. That 5-2 mark is really a high bar at this point. We have barely been able to beat the Giants and Tampa at home. Right now beating the Jets and Pats at home is not a given. Losing last night at the end was crushing. 5-2 would put us at 10-7 for the season. If we can get there, that would be a huge accomplishment. If we lose to the Jets on Sunday we could finish 6-11 or 5-12. We will be dead man walking. We beat the Jets with a strong performance (which it will take) anything is possible. But finish with a losing record, and McDermott needs to go for sure!!
  18. Our receivers do not make spectacular or great plays very often if ever. Knox can barely catch a pass where he has to move in the slightest. And yes last night Davis and Kincaid let balls go right through their hands. The throw to Diggs was low and away. Other then Diggs Shakir Cook and Kincaid, I would bring in a bunch of young skill players who have potential talent. We have wasted so many picks over the past years since we drafted Josh. That all being said, Josh is not playing well. He needs to stop turning the ball over. I love his athletic ability. And love the way he can make plays and his competitiveness when he is zoned in. And I hate the coaching on this team. Its lousy. McDermott is over his head. We all know that. Hopefully the ownership sees that. And will do the right thing for the franchise and this amazing fan base. The ending to last night's game was disgusting. I had to watch on delay because my flight from Detroit to Atlanta was 3 and a half hours late because of engine problems. I didn't finish the game til almost 2:30am. I sat on my couch in utter disbelief and shock. Lets hope Joe Brady has some solid ideas and schemes. If not, this season will turn in to an epic collapse.
  19. Wow, what a story!! That's very impressive. And very impressive that you know about it.
  20. You are a real Josh Allen apologist. Maybe the biggest on this board. Use the eye test Cincy. He has played like ***** of late. He of course is an NFL QB. He is going to make some decent throws every game. The throw to Shakir down the left sideline on our second TD drive. The 30+ yarder to Gabe. The first pick was Gabe's fault. But the problem is he is turning the ball over way too much. He is being paid big money to a big timer. If we want turnovers and TD's, we can bring in Jameis Winston. At least Jameis is not a head case. Just like Fitzie. They will keep letting it rip. Do I dare say Josh seems like a sensitive guy. He probably did not like Diggs calling him out last year in the Cinci playoff game. I am surprised that Josh even pays any attention to McDermott. If I were him, I would just ignore him. And play the way I wanted to. Do you think Brett Favre gave a ***** what Mike Holmgren or Mike Sherman said to him? He was the team. He knew it and all his teammates knew it. Josh Allen will be here long after Clappy gets shown the door. Which will likely be at the end of the season. He just needs to bare down and make plays and not overthink things. I have noticed that he barely throws over the middle of the field anymore. Way too much sideline stuff. Get Kincaid Diggs and/or Shakir running down the seam. Lots of room there. Especially with play action. He is a big boy making a lot of money. Time to step up, stop pouting and act the part of a champion. The league stops for nobody. I never saw Jim Kelly pouting. If he was upset he took it out on his teammates or the opposing team. McDermott is no football guru. We need to win despite this guy until he is no more.
  21. Excuse my ignorance. But who is Earnest Shackleton?
  22. Great relationships don't always lead to great results. A certain friction/tension between higher ups gets more out of people. Great relationships lead to complacency. And that is what has happened with our organization. Good is good enough. It doesn't have to be great. If the Bills were shooting for greatness they would have gotten rid of Frazier at the least after 13 seconds. McDermott is not an innovator. He thinks smaller is better on defense. I have news for him playing DB's continuously at LB gets you run over, and your defense out of gas every week at the ends of games like last night, and in the Giants Bucs Pats and Bengals games. If I am Beane I am distancing myself fast from McDermott.
  23. That is the best response I have read in this thread. Everyone is happy that Dorsey was canned. But he was not making the throws. Josh Allen is. And he looks lost and indifferent about the entire mess. That throw to the sideline at the end of the 1st half was ridiculously bad that was picked. He missed Shakir who was wide open on 4th and 2. He threw the same bad throw to Gabe on the sideline in the 2nd half. And he should have been picked on the second or third series of the game if Singleton gets his foot down. This is not the Josh Allen of the past 4 seasons. The guy looks like a robot. The big boy needs to get it together. I don't see Mahomes or Burrow or a lot of supposed other real good NFL QB's playing like that for extended periods of time. Some new blood leading the offense is fine. But the overall pale over the team is on McDermott. Something happened on that London trip that really has sunk the offense. We looked awful in the 1st half after playing a great game against Miami. It has been a mess ever since. McDermott should be coaching for his life at this point. This week against the Jets will not be easy for our offense. Their defense is nasty. We need to come out playing with some bad intentions. Because it will be a street fight. And if we don't it will not end pretty for us.
  24. Defense was awful in the 4th qtr. Let the Broncos move up and down the field. We can't stop the short pass in the flats. Watch the Broncos second TD. Their RB walked into the end zone. Bernard played well. But noone on the outside can tackle other then Douglas.
