  1. Their defense is not physical. It’s that simple. They did not want to tackle anyone on KC last night. Defense is a mindset. They don’t have it. We do.
  2. Diggs is not dominant now. Whether he is next year remains to be seen. WR is a young man's position now. He can be a good possession receiver for us the rest of the year, and hopefully next year as well. We need to scheme the offense through Shakir and Kincaid and make good use of our RB's not named Latavious Murray. Hopefully Diggs makes some solid plays when his number is called. And the same for Davis. But this is not the same Diggs of his first 3 and a half years playing for us. The coaches need to know that. And scheme accordingly. I would also play Shorter this week, and sit Sherfield. Guy looks like he has no idea what route he is supposed to run. How we play this Sunday and hopefully in the playoffs on offense should be a big determining factor on whether Brady returns or not. Coaching is obviously important. But you can only do so much with the talent on the roster.
  3. His accuracy has been off the past 2 games. He hasn't been terrible. But certainly not spot on with his ball placement-not even close. Our receivers do not get much separation if any at times. But he still has missed some throws that he should make. If we are going on a run at least to the AFCCG he needs to be better regardless of the pieces around him. He is the straw that stirs the drink-if you remember that saying from Reggie Jackson w the 1970's New York Yankees I believe.
  4. Well said. I like our chances if Josh plays well. Which he should-but needs to find his accuracy again. Our defense was flying around today. Bernard Douglas and Oliver were awesome. I think our D has played really hard this year. They will beat up Tua. Should be a great game.
  5. Murray should not play another snap for us. We got about 6 or 7 solid games out of him early on in the season. And that's it. He is done. Had a very good career. But there comes a time. Roll w Cook Johnson and Fournette, and we are very good at the RB position.
  6. You said it perfectly. Shakir is the best we got right now. Its really shocking what has happened to Diggs' play. Lets hope our guys find a spark this week.
  7. Our receivers as a group do not get any consistent separation. They also drop a lot of passes. Sherfield should not be on an NFL field. He is terrible. Kincaid and Shakir are our two best threats right now. Diggs and Davis did not do much today. And Knox was invisible. Josh wasn’t great by any stretch. But the entire receiving corps needs a major overhaul in the offseason.
  8. That’s the best you got? The original poster makes a good point. Our 1st round pick isn’t getting the ball thrown to him and is not a big part of the offense. That’s a legitimate question and concern. Doesn’t mean he hates the team.
  9. What are you his mother or father? Its a figure of speech big boy. Von has had a good career. But I never loved his game. More of a Demarcus Ware and Chris Doleman fan to be honest as far as where Von's ranks historically with the best DE's. But that's one man's opinion. But what is fact is that Von Miller should not be out on the football field right now. Maybe next year he will be closer to what he used to be. But right now he needs to try and get well. Any other player on the team who was playing w that little effort and effect would not be playing for long.
  10. Von stinks and Phillips can’t play more than 3 games w/o getting hurt. In the playoffs we will be better w AJ and Poona both playing. God I hate Von. I think Bruce Smith w a week of practice could still outplay him right now.
  11. The Dolphins are not beating the Ravens in Baltimore. Winning the division in Miami will be the high point of the regular season. And that momentum will take us to the Super Bowl.
  12. Who was better in goal in their prime then Hasek and Brodeur?
  13. Exactly. QB’s used to be just bludgeoned. Guys came in high and low, and could hit you in the head w impughnity. And the QB’s never whined. They just staggered off the field. Remember Billy Kilmer and Sonny Jurgenson. They looked drunk the way they moved around on the field. Qb’s have it easy now. Easton Stick would have been seriously maimed in the old days. The way the Bills treated Dak Prescott is as rough as it gets for QB’s in the modern NFL. Not a lot of mean gratuitous violence. But Josh would have been a baller in any era. Mahomes would have been cheap shotted whenever possible for all his whining. Was hoping someone on the Raiders would absolutely drill him late on the sideline today. Lol
  14. Great point on the refereeing. On the Charger TD. Poona Ford was blatantly held as Stick ran around the right side. The calls were very one sided. Just like in London against the Jags. And in Philly against the Eagles. But we won on a nice drive at the end of the game. And the defense played well w a lot of injuries. We don’t really have a #1 WR anymore because Diggs can not consistently beat DB’s down the field. He can still play. But not dominate. And Kincaid has been put into mothballs. But this is a resilient tough team regardless. And will be a tough out the rest of the season. Especially if the O line plays at a high level. The original poster needs to get a grip.
  15. When Epenesa is ready to play, Von needs to sit. He played way too many plays tonite. And was useless.
  16. I think the Chiefs would prefer to play another team then us as well.
  17. Bills defense played well. They gave up one TD on the road. The TO's were bad. (Harty brings nothing to the team and is wasting a roster spot.) And the penalties on Brown and Morse were like a 4th TO. That being said, we still made some big plays and were the better team. Diggs has become a possession receiver who can't get by guys deep so much anymore. He seems beat up, and weary. But ran some good routes in crunch time to make some important catches. Need more from Kincaid down the field. But Its Christmas weekend. And we had to fly across country and play on a short week coming off two very big emotional wins. Lets enjoy the win. And now we control our destiny to the playoffs. I like our chances going forward regardless of how close this game was.
  18. That's a very fair point. I think Kincaid has not been utilized the right way for most of the year. He has wheels and can get down the field. And we have not thrown much to him vertically. He has not been nearly the impact guy he was at Utah. And compared to Sam LaPorta he has not matched up. I like his game. But I think an offseason in the weight room will help him be a more physical player that is needed as a TE in the NFL.
  19. Great point about what Elway said. That’s why Guys like Derek Carr suck. They choke in big moments and take sacks, throw picks and miss key throws when it matters. Josh is a beast. The throw to Shakir on the final drive was awesome. Winning when -3 in TO’s on the road is huge. Also the two penalties in a row on Brown and Morse were awful. That was like a 4th TO. The defense stepped up when it had to. And only allowed 1 TD. We are 9-6. If we can get rid of the turnovers, we will be very tough to beat the rest of the season. And does anything think Von Miller makes a play the rest of the season? He is rushing like he is 55 years old.
  20. Whole different world being a head coach. Lions have a lot of good players on offense. Why isn't Dan Campbell getting the same props? He is the head coach and has them playing real solid football. But they looked lousy against the Packers on Thanksgiving. And their offense was dreadful in Chicago in the second half. Everyone always thinks some young young guy calling plays on the sidelines is going to be the next NFL guru. How did that work out for Brandon Staley? Where are the good ex NFL players when it comes to coaching? I love the Dan Campbell tough guy schtick. Where are all the Ray Lewis types? How come they aren't coaching? All the black guys are good enough to play and bust their bodies for years in the NFL. But most never get a shot at coaching. Good to see Al Harris coaching the DB's for the Cowboys. Not trying to turn this into a discussion about race or prejudices in the NFL. Just an observation of watching years of football.
  21. I think Milano is our toughest player on defense period. He has lit up many players. Ask Mike White about that from last year. People sometimes forget that football was built on intimidation violence and brutality. That is how the game was played by pretty much every team (the Raiders played it a little better then the rest many years ago) for decades upon decades. (watch on YouTube the story of the 1970 or 1971 season. The hitting and pummeling QB's was absolutely ridiculous.) Most of that has been taken out of the game since Roger Goddell took over as Czar of the league. But you need guys who play like Poyer Rapp and Dodson. It sends a message.
  22. He barely skimmed his helmet. That was a weak call. Good for Rapp. Prescott is a *****, who is soft as Peanut Butter. We have been soft for far too long on defense. We sent a big message to the Cowboys, And to the rest of the NFL yesterday. This is our house. And we are going to beat you down when we play you. Better buckle your chin strap because you are in for a long day. Did you see the look on their eyes by the second half? The Cowboys wanted nothing to do w us. Having a mean bad ass team in 2023 NFL football is a beautiful thing. Embrace it.
  23. You really think Minshew is thinking all that as fast as everything is happening out there?? Thats on the DB. If you want, blame whichever coach diagrammed the play. Minshew is just trying to make a play to help his team win.
  24. Your points are valid. But speaking of points look at how many the Cowboys are averaging at home versus the road. The Cowboys always get a lot of hype. They looked good against Philly on Sunday nite. They just don't strike me as a lights out type of team. McCarthy is one guy who will not outcoach McDermott. This game just does not set up well for them. Coming off two big home games in primetime, and now going on the road to Buffalo in December for a 4:25 start. I don't see them bringing their best. We will be fired up w a rauckus crowd. There is a reason that we are 2 1/2 point favorites.
  25. You are seriously going back 10 years for a comparison. The Seattle defense that year was lights out regardless who was coaching them. And to be quite honest Dan Quinn's defense with the Falcons allowed the Pats to come back from a 28-3 deficit to win the Super Bowl after the 2016 season. I would not be too scared of the Cowboys defense after their performance against Seattle two weeks ago. We will have a good game plan. We will play physical on both sides of the ball. And we have Josh Allen. Lets go.
