  1. I think Elam still has some potential to be a very good corner in the NFL. He has shown spurts of really good play. Hopefully this offseason he can really focus in mentally on what he needs to do to be a starting CB in the NFL. If he can raise the level of his game, having him Rasul Benford, maybe Dane and Tre, and that's a hell of a group of boundary CB's.
  2. Taron Johnson is nowhere near the cover CB that McDuffie is. His technique is not that good. He is a tough smart player. And a great tackler. But not at the same level in coverage as McDuffie
  3. Joe Brady coached a couple real good ones at LSU in Chase and Jefferson. He needs to be part of the WR conversation for sure.
  4. You are either too high, and/or too high on Higgins. lol. He is good but not great like you seem to think Gunner.. He doesn't play with a lot of twitchiness. Ridley has great speed which we need. I don't think we are going to have a lot of cap space for big ticket WR's. Lets get two in the draft, and develop Justin Shorter.
  5. Completely disagree. We did not deserve to win the KC game because our defense was decimated and played like it. We moved the ball reasonably well. But to get to the Super Bowl you need to be solid on both sides of the ball. And special teams has to play a positive role. (missed FG and terrible Fake punt were not that) Also our deep passing game was lousy against KC, and for most of the season. But there is lots to be hopeful about. The O line played very well this year. The defense should get healthier and a lot younger. And we will get some more weapons for Josh. We have our OC and DC set for next year. Sure it was a tough loss to lose to the Chiefs at home. But I think the Ravens have a lot more to be upset about the way they blew their game against the Chiefs. (Lamar is certainly not a Super Bowl level QB like the media wants to portray.) Overall, I thought the team showed great resilience going on the 6 game run to get to the Divisional Playoff game. And it certainly wasn't like the Chiefs kicked our ass despite our defense giving up big plays all night long. We have a tough team that will be even better next year. The hunger to be champions will certainly drive the team, and the entire organization.. Lets go Buffalo!!
  6. Every team that fires a head coach has problems in the organization. Just because the Chargers have Justin Herbert doesn't mean its a GREAT opportunity. Herbert has underperformed, is not much of a leader, the O line stinks, they have no running game to speak of, and their secondary is trash. This is a team that gave up 63 pts to the Raiders. So there are problems even there for Big bad Jim H to fix. If things were running well Staley would still have a job. That being said, no way would I want to coach the Commanders. The stadium is trash. The roster is lousy. And who is to say the new owner is really any better then the old owner. He already owns the 76ers and the NJ Devils. Who is the football guy that will run the front office? A lot of uncertainty there. And the football culture was good years ago w Joe Gibbs and George Allen. That's a long time ago. Maybe start by bringing their old name back. It really wasn't that bad. As for the Seahawks job, I would be all over that. The culture of the team, the Stadium, the fans. Top notch. A great place to make a name as a young coach.
  7. Winston can play. He may not have started any. But I watched him play mid season at Minnesota. He isn't great. But he understands the game, is a leader and isn't afraid to whip it around the yard. For whatever reason Dennis Allen and the Saints have not given him the chance to start. They went w Andy Dalton two years ago, and brought in Derrick Carr this past year. I like Winston better then both. But that's just me. We all have our personal preferences. Its like liking different ice cream flavors or ladies.
  8. Where is Goff? I will take him over Hurts Dak and Lawrence every day of the week. Herbert has done nothing. He is a baby B word who just loses. And Josh blows Lamar away. Stop watching ESPN. Where is Jameis Winston? Guy is a gamer. The black Fitzie.
  9. On the 3rd down throw out of bounds before attempting the FG, Shakir was wide open in the left flat. He would have easily gotten the lst down inside the 17 yard line. Unfortunately Josh was looking and rolling to his right and both of our receivers were completely covered in the rt corner of the endzone. I agree about the run up the middle. Not good. We had a 1st down at the 27 with two and a half minutes on the clock. And ended up w no points, and a big L. That whole sequence just sucked.
  10. I am a Wolverine too. Go Blue. I like Roman Wilson's game a lot too. Of course we underutilized him at Michigan like we do all our WR's. But when his number was called he came up big. Especially against Bama on that big catch on the game tying drive. That being said, I do not see him as a 2nd round receiver. He is on the smaller side, and is quick but not overly a burner. He does have good hands. More of a Beasley type guy, with a little more height. 3rd or 4th round is where I see him going. Would love him on the Bills. But we also need a big time outside WR who can created separation, and become a #1 for us sooner then later.
  11. The Diggs Miller and Knox contracts stink. If we can get rid of all 3 (which is unlikely) and replace w more productive cheaper players, Beane will have earned his keep 10 times over. Bills D is OLD. We need pass rushers. WE need younger safeties.. And we need more playmakers (at least 2) at the WR position.
  12. Diggs needs some new scenery. And we need some new WR’s. I take the $13.5 mill cap hit next season and turn the page. He has no tread left on the tires. It’s obvious. He can’t beat corners any longer. He’s had a very good to great career. But it’s winding down. Watch Moneyball. There comes a time for everyone when they can’t play the game they love anymore. That time is coming for Diggs. Father Time is undefeated. Some on this message board do not seem to get that. Sad but true. I wish Diggs had 3-4 solid years left. But it certainly doesn’t look like it.
  13. Why do you want to keep Neal? He does nothing on special teams or defense. And what are your plans for Isabella?
  14. Floyd disappeared in the 2nd half of the year. He is not worth big money. None of our DE’s are.
  15. I agree. Our receivers outside of Shakir are brutal. Sad about Diggs. What has happened to the man? But still his offensive play calling is oh so predictable.
  16. Lawson brings grit and toughness. He is a professional. But at this point is he going to be better then Kingsley Jonathan next season? I would draft two WR's that can come in and contribute next year with big upside going forward. We need a big young DT, and a safety. And just fill in the gaps with defensive players that can play fast and get after the QB. Not easy to find. But we sure need some guys that can flat out play on the D Line.
  17. Its frustrating sad and upsetting. But we all want to figure out how we can keep this from happening next year. And be champions. We weren't good enough again. The defense looked like ***** most of the night. And Josh doesn't have nearly enough playmakers around him. Look what the Ravens have at the skill positions now. Heck look at the Lions. And the coaching just has not been good enough. Is it horrible? No. Is it dynamic enough on offense? Certainly not when we have a talent like Josh Allen. Brady needs to go. He brought nothing with his game plan tonite. McDermott has been pretty weak in the playoffs. But going from 6-6 to 12-6, its kind of difficult to fire the guy. And I don't love his coaching. But a change at OC and on ST coach should certainly happen.
  18. Why has Diggs become our underneath guy anyways? He used to blow by people or run 15-20 yard crossing patterns. Now he is running mostly 5-7 yard turn ins and comebacks to the QB. If Diggs is still an NFL receiver, (which is debatable) he has to be doing more then that. Our route scheme w Joe Brady has been terrible. Rarely is anyone even remotely open, let alone wide open. And we go two thirds of the game without throwing to Kincaid. And while I don't love Knox, we threw to him one time tonite. That's ridiculous.
  19. He three 3 perfect deep passes. Sherfield let the first one hit his left bicep, and the second one he could not secure, but should have. And the one to Diggs went right through his hands. Other than Shakir, none of our WR's made a contested catch all season.
  20. Murray and Phillips have nothing left. Edwards played well tonite and could start if someone gets injured. He is a mauler. Johnson can play. We need big time upgrades at WR S and D Line.
  21. 5 years, no super bowl appearances. 1 championship game. Obviously not good enough. But the offense is severely limited with the WR group we have. They just can not get any separation or make any sort of contested catch, or catch any deep ball for that matter. Keep Shakir, and the rest can go including Diggs. His play has fallen off a cliff in the second half of the season. Kincaid is a big talent when used properly. But the D looked awful for most of the game. Sure we have injuries, but the D Line did not show. That's a big problem. And McDermott or Brady really did not make any adjustments in our game plan to catch the Chiefs off guard. Tough painful loss.
  22. Bringing in Pittman from the Colts AND a high draft pick would be an excellent makeover of the WR group. Can we make the dollars work on that is the question?
  23. And this seems to be a different Bills team as well. At least the last 6 games. Everyone playing with a lot more grit and toughness. We certainly did not dominate the Chargers Pats and Dolphins on the scoreboard. But we never panicked and made all the plays we needed in each game to win. Same with against the Steelers. Although I thought we dominated them as much as anyone in the streak other than the Cowgirls.
  24. The refs blew that call bigtime. It was obvious that Spector completely possessed the ball in bounds. You could see that in live time. Not sure why the refs couldn't see it in live time or on review. The rule is pretty straightforward that if a player with any part of his body out of bounds touches the ball, its dead there. But that didn't happen in the Bills-Steelers game. It was a fumble by the Pittsburgh TE, recovered by Spector in bounds.
  25. Super elite is probably overstating his ability at this point in time. But he still can be a force for us going forward. He should have at least one more real good year in him in 2024. And after that its anybody's guess how much is left in the tank.
