  1. Your analysis was faulty, though not totally inaccurate. All of the sacks weren't Drew's fault, but he had much longer than the 2 seconds you claim to find a target on many of the sacks. I did an analysis of that game as well (with a stopwatch) since I was intrigued by Mularky's claim that only 1 sack could be put on the Oline Link Anyway, it seems pretty obvious that you're willing to cover for Drew's mistakes and lay the blame elsewhere. The bottom line is the Oline hasn't been that bad in pass protection this year despite what Drew apologists wants to believe. He makes them look much worse than they actually are. He locks on to WRs, doesn't go through his progression quickly enough, he waits too long to go to his outlet receiver and has the worst footwork I've seen in a QB this side of Jeff George, which accounts for his inaccuracy on short and intermediate throws. There is usually plenty of blame to go around when the team plays poorly, certainly its not all Drew's fault (and I've seen nobody claiming it is) but Drew's poor play has had a large part in the offense’s struggles this year. What you’re failing to realize (in all your infinite football knowledge that the rest of us don’t possess) is that the good QBs in this league make plays when there’s a breakdown in protection, they slide into the pocket, sense the rush, quickly make a blitz read and fire the ball to the appropriate target, etc. ANY starting QB in the NFL can be effective if he has great protection and a solid running game keeping Ds honest. ANY QB. Drew is one of the most ineffective QBs in the league. That doesn’t mean he can’t get the job done when everybody else is playing well, he can (as we all saw yesterday). But the problem with him is that at his best he’s a Trent Dilfer type game manager and at his worst he’s a mistake prone QB that costs us games. With “feast or famine” QBs, like Brett Favre, you’re going to get those terrible games where the QB loses games for you, but you’re also going to get those games where he puts the team on his back and wins it almost by himself. With Drew we only get the terrible games mixed in with some good “game manager” type games. The risk isn’t worth the reward in other words. He’s a “one square meal or famine” QB because we never get the “feast”.
  2. Was Holt engaged with another blocker at the time? Because, if not, that's a legal block...
  3. Catchable ball? You have to be joking... And those other INTs that went off WRs hands...most of them were poorly thrown balls that were behind the target or much too high. Bledsoe played well today, but let's not go overboard. He hasn't played "solid" this season. He's had some solid games and some horrid ones. It's what you get with Bledsoe...unfortunately it's not even "feast or famine", because we never get the feast. Bledsoe is like a "square meal or famine."
  4. That wasn't me up above, but I'll say it too: The flea-flicker was under thrown. That being said Bledsoe played well today. Nothing spectacular, but we don't need spectacular, we need solid. If only he could play this way on the road...
  5. You're padding the stats here. You're saying all those yards came in his 5 starts and then dividing the total number of yards by those 5 starts...all those yards did not come in those games. In McGahee's 5 starts he's carried the ball 127 times for 482 yards (3.8ypc). Willis is averaging 96.4 yards per start, not the 122 you're giving him. Breakdown by game: 20 – 100 St. L 14 – 37 NE 37 – 132 NYJ 30 - 102 Ariz 26 – 111 Mia
  6. It was marked off 10 yards from the spot of the foul. It occurred at the 8 yard line, hence the ball was spotted at the 18yd line.
  7. Reading comprehension is a good thing...try re-reading what I posted.
  8. I'd like to see JP get his shot once he has a few more weeks of practice under his belt but don't kid yourself into thinking this team will be more competitive with JP at the helm this year. Rookie QBs almost always struggle mightily, but I'd like to see those struggles come this year, in a lost season, instead of next year.
  9. Now Artest has more than enough time to promote his new album. Hell, he can go on tour now. Dream come true for the guy.
  10. Because, unfortunately, our remaining schedule has road games on it too...
  11. I love the guy but this was the worst game I've ever seen him have.
  12. Not to mention that Willis' toe touched out of bounds at about the 21 yard line, had the penalty not been called I'm sure the Rams would have challanged it.
  13. I was being sarcastic...
  14. Like I said in another thread, please do the world a favor and don't procreate. Have you ever thought of having a vasectomy? Seriously, it sounds like you’re a prime candidate. I’m sure in the name of public safety the Indiana state government would subsidize such a procedure. Actually, I have an even better idea; if you would give us your mom's contact info maybe we can talk her into having a 90th trimester abortion…
  15. You have to be one of the only people on Earth that honestly considers a beer being thrown on someone (hell, by the time the cup gets to the target the beer isn't even in it anymore) as being "physically assaulted". The fan is dead wrong for doing it, nobody is arguing otherwise. But you can't control the actions every single person in an arena that holds 20k people (or 70k at a football game). If just one idiot throws something do you think every athlete should charge the stands to fight? If that were the case there would be NO SPORTS AT ALL because every night there'd be a brawl. Every single night there is some idiot that throws a snowball, a battery, a cup of beer, or whatever on the to court/field. It's not right, nobody says it is, but only a complete imbecile would think the appropriate reaction is for the player to charge the stands to fight. The correct action is for the fellow fans/players to point the idiot out to security and let them take it from there. If the item was a battery or something that could actually do real harm, they should be taken to the police and arrested. THAT is the correct action to be taken. I don’t know why I am bothering trying to explain this to you. You’re too dense to get it apparently, or too much of a homer to want to get it.
  16. I’d rather not get into the whole racist thing here, because it generally opens a whole sh!tcan of flames but... One has to be incredibly KzooMike of recent American history to not understand that the term "boy" was a derogatory remark that whites openly used against blacks as recently as 40 years ago (hell, in certain parts of the country its still used). If he didn't mean it as racist, why didn't he call him "man" or "guy". Sure, the term "boy" might have been incidental, but it can very easily be construed as a derogatory remark as well (particularly when one uses the word “hood” in the same sentence). When throwing around terms like that, one has to be careful because people are bound to take it the wrong way, particularly if they don't know the person saying it. Personally, I don’t give the above poster the benefit of the doubt, it would seem that it was purposely intended as racist. Perhaps I’m wrong, I’ve been known to be on occasion. This incident (the NBA fight) has caused quite a few posts which purposely throw around borderline racist statements, and when somebody calls them on it (usually a “Guest” because I guess people don’t want to stand up to it with their “real” username) they defend it by saying, “how was that racist” or “I didn’t mean it that way” or “it only became racist once you took it that way”, or, my favorite, "I'm not PC!" The posters who make the boarderline racist remarks purposely make the meaning ambiguous to cover their asses, but anybody with half a brain knows the intent. Earlier there was a post that stated, “A fight in the NBA and one at the VIBE music awards, coincidence?” Hmm, what do these two events have in common that could make it a "coincidence"? Basketball players like music? Musicians like basketball? Famous people? Yeah, that’s it, famous people! The fact that one can point out that there are white R&B musicians as well as white basketball players doesn’t cover the intent of the post. Anyway, I’m done with this rant. I just felt compelled for someone other than a damn guest to stand up to some of this crap instead of everybody turning a blind eye to it as if it didn’t exist. footnote: I had no idea that the word !gnorant got translated as Kzoomike...guess I missed that one. How'd this one start?
  17. She's getting a little older now, but damn Salma Hayak still does it for me: Mmmmm
  18. You all are idiots! In one swift moment Artest now has the time off he asked for to promote his new rap album and the gangsta cred he needs to ensure that it sells through the roof! Artest is a genius!
  19. Why does it not surprise me that anybody who spells "those" like you did believes violence is the answer?
  20. You should get together with NJSue, it seems you have a lot in common. Actually, you have a little in common...as in, you both have little brains.
  21. Please don't procreate. I'll pay for any abortions your girlfriend might need.
  22. You need so much help its not even funny. This is an incredibly sad statement on so many levels.
  23. Why, because you want to see another disgrace and revel in it? That type of behavior makes me embarrassed to be a human being…and there are people who actually enjoy it? If that's your cup of tea have at it, I for one think the brawl itself was pathetic and those who enjoy it are equally so.
  24. This is the most idiotic thinking I've seen in a long time. So violence is the solution is what you're saying? If someone gets you wet with a beverage that gives you the right to give them a beat down? What a society we’d live in if everytime something happened to somebody they tried to start a fight…and you think this is okay? What an intellectual you must be. Not to mention, your analogy doesn't wash. These guys get drinks thrown at them every night as do every other sports’ stars and they don't charge the stands. If every player acted like Artest there would be no professional sports because there would be a brawl every night. Just because you like the team doesn't make everything they do okay. You should be embarrassed as a Pacer fan...not proud. And you have the nerve to call those who tease another on the board the "worst kind of human trash" and you defend the actions of a guy who punches fans when he wasn't in danger?
