  1. I actually did it for a while. Its not what they advertise it to be at all.. They are looking for people and hiring new people. That is true, however they are expanding in the college football department and nobody can analyze nfl games until they do at least one year of college first. This might be exciting for some, but for me, watching every snap 20 times of a college game of teams that I've never heard of became much more like work than what I hoped it to be... I was upset in the end, I believed that they falsely advertised the job opportunity. This is a great opportunity for anyone that loves college football
  2. Terry Used to own and operate a small oil service company called East Resources.. Their field office was about 20 min from ours. I personally worked on hundreds of his wells and was used to do an important process called Air Notching in the production end of his wells.. He is a great guy. Everyone enjoys working for him. He paid better than everyone else and if you worked for him at the time, you were a lucky man.. It would be a great thing for Terry to buy the team! He worked hard to make his money and lucked out when Shell came and bought all of his leases up. He went from being a normal blue collar hard working oilman to one of the richest people in America overnight. He has and I believe will continue to be a great guy and do a lot for the community. He has gone way outta his way to help his Alma Mater Penn State. I am now rooting really hard for Terry! I figured that this would come about eventually
  3. Andrew Luck will go down as the greatest QB of all time, the Colts are the luckiest franchise of all time given the fact that they were able to draft both He and Manning
  4. Realist is just what Egomaniacs call themselves, or people who think they know everything but don't..
  5. Seems like competition to me, for tuel and lewis
  6. Its laughable that this site bans their articles.. The people in charge at 2BD are ego maniacs, as well as the people that remove any well written post and put it in a "topic is being discussed in previous thread, please search bullcrap".. Yet I have been coming here since the 90s.. I fully believe that people can easily change but Bleacher report could start their own tv station, surpass ESPN in ratings, hire all the best writers, and you will have idiots saying that some douche was sitting on the toilet while writing the latest Bleacher report article.. In the real world, the site covers the Bills, generates almost daily information/articles, and other that some EgoManiac's opinion deserves to be part of a site build primarily from discussion board success..
  7. I am not comfortable rolling Branch out there at DE in a 4/3 defense.. I think that he is specifically a DT in the new defense. His job last year as DE was about the same thing as DT in 4-3. He would almost always have either Mario, Manny, or Hughes next to him last year.. In this system, he is way less ideal as a DE than Pears or Hairston is a RT in my opinion. While I like the idea of Matthews or Koundijo(2nd rd), I like the Idea of fortifying the D End position even more.. What happens if Mario Williams goes down for the year? Then what? Right now we can pretty much replace any player on the roster with a suitable backup except Mario Williams and EJ Manuel. SO If it were me, and I had the chance to add a DE that could start day 1, relegating Hughes to the same role as he played last year (40-50% of snaps), then I would not only jump at the opportunity but after I would say we have the best Defense in the AFC.. If that goes down then All Manuel has to do is progress and this team makes the playoffs. I agree with the OP, I think this is a major need and I put it up there with OT and TE. Followed by CB, WR,QB, RB.. I would like to see Donald, Ealy, Crighton, or Barr in a Bills Uniform if they can trade out of the 9 pick and if Ebron is gone by the time they pick again.. Maybe get lucky and Koundijo is still there at 2nd pick(balky knee/seems fine), and I think there would be a quality TE left in the 2nd half of the 2nd rd(Niklas maybe?). So I see a trade back situation unfolding like that.. A good WR is sure to be available in the 3rd or 4th rds for all those that want to add a guy there still.. Grab a CB in the 3/4th rd range as well.. Maybe in the 5th rd we can nab up one of those big QB to compete with TUEL and LEWIS, Grab a 7th rd RB and we just had a great draft! Obviously it could go any way so...
  8. I'm warming up to the idea of Ebron rd 1.. I watched a lot of tape on him lately and he reminds me most of antonio gates.. A young Antonio Gates.
  9. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000340813/article/casserly-seven-qbs-in-2014-nfl-draft-rate-ahead-of-ej-manuel As a Bills fan, I don't see one qb in this years draft that is comparable to EJ. Not saying EJ is or isn't better than any of the 7 'better' guys. But from a height/weight/speed/armstrength standpoint he is in his own class.. He seems like a really good leader and good person as well.. Def not gonna make a scene in the media.. With all that being said, I would love to see Buffalo add one of these 7 QB in this draft.. In my opinion Thad Lewis isn't taking the team to the playoffs.. This team is good qb play away from being a contender.. I have little doubt that if we had any one of the top 18 QBs right now that this team makes the playoffs.. EJ has the potential, I would feel best if there were more than one QB on the team with that potential.. I believe in Tuel more than Thad and hope Tuel wins qb2 job if nobody brought in.. Until we have a top 10-15 qb, I would bring someone in with that high of a ceiling in every single draft.. Especially when/if one slips into rds 2-4. It makes it a lot easier to do when the team is as solid top to bottom as it is now.. This is the year to start implementing operation get a franchise qb at all costs. If we could put Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Russel Wilson, or Andrew Luck on this team- It goes to Superbowl.. If you put Ben Roethlisberger, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Matt Ryan, RG3, Tony Romo, Jay Cutler, Phillip Rivers, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, and possibly even Alex Smith on this team- they win 10 games min. Heck the Jury is still out but even Nick Foles and Sam Bradford might be able to take this team to the playoffs this year.. I hope EJ joins the group listed above just as much as the next guy, but lets not throw all our eggs in one basket.. I see nothing wrong with honest competition. NFL is a pressure filled league, no need to lessen that burden, make them thrive in it...
  10. I like EJ Manuel a lot. He has all the qualities I look for in a qb. But I would say that from an intangibles standpoint that it is a reach to put him in the same category as an Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin 3, or Russell Wilson.. All of these relatvely young and somewhat unproven players, I would instantly trade Manuel for... I totally believe that he could develop into a similar threat as Wilson, Kaepernick, or maybe something like Cam Newton. He has yet to solidify that he has the 'IT' factor.. I think he has the potential and that he also might be clutch.. Being that Quarterback seems to be the most important position on the field and the fact that the Bills haven't had a legitimate long term franchise QB since Jim Kelly, I've been thinking for a long time now that it would be a great idea to draft a 1st rd caliber QB every chance you get- year after year after year until you find your man/men.. Especially when there is one in rd 2 or later.. My thought was that even if you ended up with 2 or possibly even 3 good Quarterbacks, that you could easily get strong value for one of those players in a trade similar to the Bills acquisition of Rob Johnson.. Then once you have your man you can draft other positions (of course).. If they were to take this theory on, I trust that it would be fairly obvious who is a better player and the team would gravitate towards the next franchise QB. Previously, when 1st rd picks were very very expensive, this theory was not financially plausible.. However, now that you have 1st rd QBs being paid significantly less than most teams 2nd string QB gets paid, this strategy is in my opinion, very sound.. If Marrone sees any value to how the Seahawks were able to build a much better team top to bottom because of the small amount of salary cap room they surrender to the qb position(which will change in 1-2 season of course), then I see no harm in selecting Manziel or Bridgewater at #9 overall. There would be less than 5 million spent at a position that other teams spend 15 million at, and you would have 2 1st rd talents to battle it out for the chance to take a great team somewhere special. They have similar playing styles to manuel and would at the very least already have a year in the system if Manuel should not be the guy.. If this was a sound theory, and the Bills agreed with me, then I think the team is in a great position to draft an additional qb as high as rds 1-2.. Lets just say 2-4 of these quarterbacks end up being stars, why not take a chance on one of them? I honestly see no glaring hole on the team bigger than QB. I am quite certain that if you put any one of the top 10 qbs on this team and we are super bowl contenders right now.. Even with Pears/Hairston duo at RT, and Chandler/Moeki duo at TE, and even with our current group of WRs still starting I believe that to be true... Does anyone agree?
  11. SO SO TRUE, This has been my thinking for a while now... If It were to work out financially, The best option would be to move Glenn to RT after this season and then try to give him a 5 year 30 mil extension and pray he takes it... Otherwise I see no way that it works Personally dont like the idea of tackle anywhere near rd 1.. Why not rd 3?
  12. I was probably the biggest James Hardy fan out there.. I remember researching him like I was a GM and being so happy when he was selected
