Is that a round about way of apologizing for coming out of left field and calling someone a jackass for no reason?
-
Yeah, it's Evans that every D we faces double teams... Some people will never understand that being able to beat single coverage and being able to beat double coverage are not the same things, just ask Peerless Price. The reason Evans is getting open and getting the ball is because Moulds forces teams to roll coverage to his side of the field. I'm not taking anything away from Evans, the guy has been terrific, but simply looking at a stat line doesn't tell you what's really going on. Who is the Colts #1 WR? Wayne or Stokely? If you looked at the stat line that's what you'd believe.

I'd agree they're not winning anything, not without home field. But the reason they're not winning anything has little to do with their offense. If/when they lose to the Steelers, Pats, or whoever, the score will be something like 33-27. One can argue that Peyton's contract (along with Harrison’s) makes it impossible for the team to field a D good enough to get the job done, but that doesn't mean the guy isn't a fantastic QB.
-
Yeah, Peyton played horribly in last season's playoffs....
-
5 Olinemen can't block 6-8 guys in the box. At some point the RB has to make guys miss (or run over them) and/or the passing game has to be effective enough to back the LBs off. Neither of those things happened yesterday. Just looking at the effectiveness of the running game doesn't tell you if the line was doing a good job yesterday. I'd agree with you, this Oline is the best we've seen on the field in 10 years.

The Colts won, didn't they? So now Peyton is being graded solely on how many TDs he throws? You Pats fans sure understand the game of football! You guys are hilarious in your hatred of all things Peyton. Actually, hilarious isn't the proper word, pathetic is more accurate. You guys can't even acknowledge great QB play when you see it.
-
He throws the deep ball well because he actually still pays attention to his form when doing so. He steps into the throw and follows through on it. I wish to hell he'd do this on short passes, but generally he throws off his back foot and relies on his arm strength to get the ball there...unfortunately the by product of this is that many of his shorter passes are incredibly inaccurate.
-
Actually, no he's not. Peyton has 3 play calls (given to him by Moore) that he can give at the line of scrimmage, 2 passes and 1 run. He reads the D and calls one of those 3 plays based on how the D is lined up. It’s generally a good idea to know what you're talking about before you start calling for people to "pull their heads out of their ass". None of this, however, diminishes what Peyton does out there on the field. He might just be the most intelligent (in terms of football smarts) QB the NFL has ever seen.

I'd guess that Denver will win next week against Tenn, as will the Jags against Hou. The Jets and Balt both lose next week. Given the above scenario, going into the last week we'd need to beat the Steelers (obviously) and then hope for 2 of the following: Jets loss to Rams, Denver loss to Indy, Jags loss to Oak. I don't like our chances.

You have to love someone insulting other's education when the answer they come to isn't even close to being the correct answer. Try taking a Stats class before coming back to sit on your high horse.

Umm, their D system won't change if/when Romeo leaves....that's a Belichick system, and he's the mastermind behind it. As for Weis, I've never thought he was that impressive as an O coordinator to begin with and I don't think losing him will be that important. You're dreaming if you think the Pats are going so suddenly crumble next year. The Bills need to step up their play, because the Pats aren't going to regress.
-
You keep giving all the credit for winning these games to Brady. You do realize there are 21 other guys out there playing for the Pats too, don't you? Brady is a fantastic QB, no doubt about it. He deserves a large chunk of the credit for doing his job well. But without a great D and coaching staff Brady has zero rings.
-
3 Pro Bowl caliber WRs??? Bwhahahahah. There is one reason all those guys look like Pro Bowlers: Peyton Manning. Harrison is the only one that could jump teams and still put up huge numbers. Man you're in denial. You'd think somebody that appreciates Tom Brady's skills would look at Manning and marvel, because they're very similar QBs. First of all, they make everybody around them seem way better than they actually are. Both read Ds quickly and get rid of the ball fast...Peyton makes that line look much better than they are, just like Brady makes the Pats Oline look fantastic too. I think the problem you're encountering is you realize all these things I've said, and also realize that Peyton does all these things better than Brady, and you just can't 't cope with it, so you resort to questioning Peyton's attributes as a QB. Give Peyton NEs D and he'd have 2 SB rings too. This is a team game, Peyton has done his job as well as it can be done for years. The fact that he doesn't have a ring doesn't negatively reflect on him at all.
-
Yeah, I know. After losing to powerhouses like Houston, Tenn, and Minn already this season, its inconceivable that they lose one of these last two games...
-
I think the first half has answered that question: The Ravens O.
-
Yeah, Peyton is putting up these numbers with smoke and mirrors. If you think their offense has been "perfect" on every snap up until this point you're a fool. It just looks like that because Peyton makes the quick reads and gets rid of the ball before disaster strikes. But yeah, Manning looks good because they've played a bunch of crappy Ds and the rest of the O plays to perfection on every down.
-
You have to be joking? So the guy has one bad half for the ENTIRE SEASON, and suddenly its because he's played a bunch of crappy teams? Are the Colts in the NFC and I'm just unaware of the change? What is with all this "who have they played" crap I see suddenly, this is not college football! The guy has put up 46 TDs and is the best QB in the league, give the guy some props and move on.
-
The Arizona Cards, at 5-9, can still win the division.
-
What is this, college football? Suddenly strength of schedule is factored in? Who cares "who we've beat", the fact is this team has won 8 of the last 10 games. In the NFL, which is a league of parity, that is an impressive feat.

Blah, Blah, Blah ... and a little more Blah

A 5 point win = "CRUSHED"???? -
That's the same St. Louis team that got drilled by the Cards today? Yeah, I have faith in the Rams pulling out a W against the Jets...
-
I can see how someone would think the Bills can go 2-0 while the Jags can't. The Bills have been blowing out teams as of late, even when they don't play that well. The Jags almost always play close games, which means that the other team is in it till the end, thereby increasing the chances of an upset. Also, the Bills have their toughest game left at home, whereas the Jags have to go out to Oakland, a team that has been coming on as of late. Those are legitimate reasons...though I don't buy 'em...the Jags are going to win out and keep us out of the playoffs. =/

I have a hard time believing that a double covered Driver was the best option on that play. That was a perfectly thrown ball, but nearly impossible to catch in that traffic. If Driver has a safety over the top on him, that means somebody else is single covered on the outside.
-
That's what I was saying...how on earth is he not ejected for that cheapshot?
-
Jax should hammer the Texans at home...the game they might lose is @Oak...that's a tough house to play in and their offense has been scoring lots lately.
