Thank god that Yankee farm system keeps pumping out stars and proving they have the best management in the league. I hope this Randy Johnson kid proves that he’ll be a good pitcher some day… That Alex Rodriguez kid who worked his way up the Yankee farm system turned out okay. There is so much skill involved in putting together a good baseball team its ridiculous. I mean, having to bring these kids up and spot that talent early on while juggling the salary cap the entire time. I don’t know how the Yankees do it!

The problem with this theory is it forgets the Bills D and special teams. There have been many of these games in which the offense hasn't done much, but the Bills still put up 30+ because of the turnovers the D causes and the field position their special teams give them. Maddox hasn't play significantly since week 2, I can see the guy throwing 3INTs in this game…also Staley will likely be a little rusty too. Rusty players make mistakes. If I were a betting man I'd take the Bills minus the points.

Arm strength gets blown out of proportion. I'll take a guy that makes quick reads, gets rid of the ball quickly and is accurate over a strong arm any day. Pennington does all of those things better than Bledsoe. When healthy Pennington can make all the required throws, which is all I ask. I'd take Pennington in a heartbeat over Drew if Pennington is healthy...which he's not right now. If his off-season shoulder surgery goes well and he recovers fully, it would be a no-brainer. Right now I'm not so sure, there's always the chance that he never recovers.

No matter how smart or talented an individual is there is a learning curve behind every job. Saban would have to acclimate himself to being an NFL head coach even if that was the only job he took. That, in itself, would have taken (most likely) a year. The fact that he's doing two jobs, head-coach and GM, is what is going to be his downfall. He'll have huge learning curves for both these jobs and his mistakes as a GM are going to cost the Dolphins for years to come. The Dolphins made a big mistake giving Saben the GM job, most coaches don't get both of those duties unless they win a SB and the Phins just handed the GM job to Saban. To echo a few other posters, this hiring doesn't worry me at all.

Heh, I was in the end zone that day too...in front of a guy that shouted, at the top of his lungs all day long "I HATE MANNING!"...in addition to the amazing RJ performance, that game is also memorable for the near 70 degree weather.

Yeah, an admin creates a thread then doesn't like the direction it goes and POOF, it disappears. Whatever. There are threads upon threads of people threatening physical violence to others and threads with racist, bigoted sh-- in them...yet they are all okay...yet if someone jumps on an admin for being a douche, buh-bye thread. It's all about Double-Shot Powah! I bought an authentic Moulds jersey at the start of the streak and at the same time started dressing my (now) 6th month old son in two different Bills outfits...a white one when the Bills are away and the blue one when they’re at home. Between the two of us the Bills have skated to victories! Of course, for Christmas I bought the boy an replica Moulds Jersey onesy (it looks just like the replica jerseys only, you know, smaller)...and now I'm debating whether I should put him in the replica jersey or keep with the proven formula (it is a home jersey)...my wife thinks we should go with the new jersey to help propel the Bills into the playoffs, but I have my doubts....

I've been saying something similar to this for weeks to friends of mine. Hell, even if they squeaked out 20-17 wins over these teams, average teams don't win consistently, even against bad teams. They win a more than they lose, but they still lose. Add to it that the Bills have demolishing these teams and that says a lot. This isn't the college football, every team in the NFL is capable of winning on any given week. This is a league of parity. No matter who the Bills have beaten in the last 6 weeks, it's still an impressive feat.

I think Reid is making a HUGE mistake by basically keeping his stars out for 2 weeks, then having a bye week. They are going to be rusty as hell that first playoff game and if its against the Panthers the Eagles will be one and done. A Panther team that's hitting its stride against an Eagle team that is rusty after having not played a meaningful game in over a month will end in distaster for this team. Everybody will blame the TO injury, I'll blame Reid for going into a shell.

You're thinking like a fan though. Sure the fans would say, "I'd rather play Denver" but I don't think a player (who is worth a sh--) has a preference. They don't think they'll lose to either team, so it doesn't matter to them...to top it off, they're competitive and never want to lose. Hell, I get fired up when I play sandlot football and that doesn't mean anything. Whoever is out there for the Colts (I hope its the starters) will be doing their best to win the game, despite the fact it means that they may have to play the Bills.

If the Colts play their starters it's a rollover game. Have you seen Denver play? They can't stop the run or pass and Plummer puts up an INT every game, in half the games 2+. Unless there's a blizzard or a wind storm in Denver that slows down the Colts offense, Denver shouldn't be able to keep up. Then again, the Jags "shouldn't" have gotten beat by 21 at home against Houston...

The Rams usually play pretty well at home. According to MNF Bulger is 18-2 at home as a starter. Also, John Abraham is out for the Jets. The Rams can certainly win this game, I'd actually say they have even odds. If the Colts play their starters against the Broncs, they'll coast to a win...if they don't, I wouldn't count on the Colts helping us out any.

Interesting stat put up in MNF last night. Bulger is (now) 18-2 in games he starts at home. I wouldn't be so quick to think the Jets are going to smack St. Louis. The Rams can look at bad as any team in the league on the road, but at home its a different story.

Yep, that's correct. But if I was a betting man I'd say there was a better chance of us getting in the playoffs with a full strength Colts team playing the Broncos than there is of us landing there with a bunch of backups playing vs. the Broncs or the Jets losing to the Rams. I hope the Rams beat the Jets, but I just don't see it happening. My hopes lie with the Colts.

I would have prefered a Jets win. If the Jets win that game the Colts play their starters all game next week against the Broncs as they still would have had a (slim) chance at a 1st round bye. The Broncs would have had no shot at beating a full strength Colts team.
