  1. I'm so sick of the right wing's attempts to spin this thing into some positive direction. If the Clinton administration had done the exact same thing the Bush admistration did the right wing would be lambasting them, but since its "their guy" the right finds any and every way to make excuses. Its why I'm sick of both the Dems and the Reps, they're so busy defending "their side" that they lose interest in any semblence of what's right.
  2. Its the exact opposite as what the posters above said, he's actually shown the past 2 seasons (for the first time in his career) that he could stay healthy. Previously he'd miss several games a season.
  3. So the team should have the right to cut a player when they don't think he's living up to his contract...but if a player outplays his contract he should suck it up and play for less money than he's worth? Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.
  4. If Henry is still a Bill come training camp I see him missing all of training camp, the pre-season and the first 10 games of the season...he'll then come back, collect his paycheck for the last 6 weeks and become a free agent at the end of the year.
  5. You seem to be missing the part where I stated that I like TD. I'm not bashing him for not moving Henry or for any of his other moves. What I will do is say that he has to win in the next two years or I want the team to go in another direction. As for the "win now" statement, we haven't been to the playoffs since TD got here 4 years ago. When exactly is this long-term plan going to pay off? I guess asking for one playoff appearance in nearly half a decade is a "win now" attitude and focusing on the "small picture" TD is a shrewd guy and a hell of a talent evaluator and for the most part he's done a good job. He has, however, made a few key errors that have kept the franchise from taking the next step. If this team doesn't go to the playoffs in the next two years its time to bring another GM on board with a different strategy. At that point it Donohoe would have had 6 years to make his plan work...one can't go 6 years in the NFL without making the playoffs and expect to keep their job. I’m a “buck-stops-here” kind of guy, and as much as I like and respect TD if he’s not getting the job done he doesn’t deserve to keep the job.
  6. Nobody tries to lose, yet people still lose their jobs... Simply attempting something is not good enough, you have to succeed. I'm not a TD basher, I like the guy a lot, I just think statements like yours are about as dumb as they get. TD does not get a free pass just because he's "trying to win". If he doesn't win at some point in the very near future he should be canned, period.
  7. So simply trying to win is enough?
  8. I don't think you're quite understanding the point people are making. Nobody is looking for rose colored glasses, just as they're not looking for doom and gloom w/ every single column, which is the only thing that Sullivan writes. I think TD must have had sex w/ Sullivan's mother because the guy hates him for some unknown reason.
  9. Heh, that's pretty funny because right when I read that line I knew it was Sullivan too. Pretty pathetic.
  10. Every time people post something that some others don't like there's always some guy that says, "this board is being ruined"...people have been saying this type of thing since the very beginning. Get a grip, nothing is being "ruined", people have different opinions and different personalities, that's what makes reading the posts worthwhile.
  11. Reed's rookie season alone was better than Fast Freddie was last year, so don't hand us this line.
  12. There's no need for a "who gives a sh-t" vote...people who truely don't give a sh-t wouldn't bother clicking on the link, voting or making a post about it.
  13. I wonder if he's still happy that he took less money to win some rings....Life is too unpredictable, particularly health-wise for football players, to not look at the NFL as a buisness.
  14. So I suppose you don't use or approve of new golf balls, graphite tennis rackets or any new technology that has been brought into the sports world (or any other area for that matter)? In fact, just the other day I believe you were spotted riding down the street in a horse drawn carriage...don't you know, the new horseless carriages have arrived!
  15. Why are you asking us if you still question it?
  16. World of Warcraft > EverQuest 2
  17. GD you're a f'in idiot.
  18. Ruth doesn't hold the record.
  19. I don't think Travis or his agent are necessarily being stupid as some here would like to believe. I think both realize that these types of demands are not likely to happen, which is whey they're making them. I'm sure they're hoping to force TD's hand and make him release TH outright so he can hit paydirt as a FA. We'll see if it plays out that way.
  20. I like Hillary Clinton more than I like Flutie.
  21. The first Bills player I ever labled as my favorite: Jerry Butler All time: Thurman Now: Moulds
  22. This coming from the guy that wants Mississippi lynchings back. Yeah, you're the guy I listen to when it comes to issues of race.
  23. If you haven't figured it out yet, you're way of saying that Euhus/Cambell etc. are a bunch of schulbs is f'in idiotic.
  24. I would take any roster in the NFL as long as Belichick came with it.
  25. Trading Nate to get back into the first round makes no sense at all. We spent a first round draft pick on him, waited years for the guy to finally get to the pro-bowl level, only to trade him for a fresh rookie so we have to wait a few more years to get 1st round production out of him? Nate isn't going anywhere. If he has another season like he did this year they'll drop the franchise tag on him next year.
