The Eagles are the only good team in the NFC. If they don't win the conference this year they never will.

Last 8 games: 6-2. STFU.

It's official. I don't care what anyone says!

Bledsoe played lights out today. Great job Drew. He deserves all the accolades he'll get for it. Just like he deserves the criticism he gets when he sucks. Keep playing well and you'll remain the starter. Play like you have the past 32 games overall and you'll see the bench. Simple as that. I don't have a small ego that requires me to be right. I'd rather be wrong and have Bledsoe dominate the dojo. We'll see if that happens. -
If you’re Lee Evans you get single coverage all day long. Look at his long TD catch. It only happens because the D collapses down on Moulds and doubles him. Pretty numbers don't tell the entire story. Moulds is, by far, the best WR on this team and defenses know it, it's why they continually double down on him.

Shhh. It's only a small penis and acne you have to worry about, don't be silly. -

I love the line of thinking that says, "I would do X, and if you don't admit you'd do X too, you’re a liar." Pure genius. -
This would be my comparison too, mostly due to the way he let's a play develop before making a decision. He's a more physical runner than Thurman, but his vision and patience are almost identical to Thurman's. And to the poster “hoping” he turns out like Keith Byers…umm, if you’re going to “hope” for something, how about he turns out like a Hall of Famer and not a trivia question!

Best chance for what exactly? To go to the playoffs? That's not happening this year. All Bledsoe does is give the Bills the best chance of not winning next year. Losman is the future of this team. First year starters struggle in the NFL. Why not have most of those struggles come this season instead of next. If they come next year its yet ANOTHER lost season. I, personally, am tired of missing the playoffs. Getting Losman prepared this year will help our chances next year.

Ahh, its good to see you're above the name-calling that's bringing this board down sue. Yeah, let's try the "he insulted me first I'm defending myself" tactic this time too. To think, it used to be like family...

I don't blame him for this. He was getting killed out there. Handing the ball off to Ricky was their entire offensive strategy. No running back wants to take that type of beating. I'll say it right now. I like what I've read about Ricky Williams. He's one of the few guys I've ever seen in the public eye that does exactly what he wants to no matter what the fans, media or his peers say/think. That takes a lot of courage and I respect that. Why play football this year? Because other people want him to? I, for one, don't think that's anyway to live one's life, though I'm guessing there are lots of people out there who disagree with me. It seems that the public likes the good little soldier and whenever someone steps out of line they jump on him. Ricky owes it to himself to do whatever he thinks is best for his life and nothing else. It doesn't matter what that is exactly as long as he's not harming other people with his decisions.

Do you think that Eric Moulds is useless
MDH replied to DreamOnDan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have Moulds on my fantasy team and he's not spectacular, but he's very very solid. Until this week he's pretty much given me 10 points week in week out (scoring: 6pts for a TD, 10pts every 10 yds receiving). He doesn’t give much more than that generally, but he rarely gives less than that either. The guy is a solid starter in fantasy ball. There are only so many "superstars" in FF, you also need consistent performers to fill out your roster, and Moulds is that. -
Yeah, but he comes up with a variety of different ways to call you an idiot and usually they're quite entertaining. So it's not a waste of bandwidth.

OT - Ron Artest Will Not Play this year
MDH replied to EZC-Boston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still haven't figured out what Reggie Miller was suspended for, from what I saw it appeared he was trying to keep the peace. -
Here ya go

You give him reps once he's practiced enough to have a working grasp of the offense. I want to see JP in the games as much as anybody, but the guy has missed so much time if the coaching staff stuck him out there it would be another nightmare for the kid. Lets give the guy a few weeks worth of practice before throwing him in there. Hell, he was supposed to be a "2 year project" and now we want to throw him in games with 2 weeks worth of practice? That's not a way to build a young QBs confidence. I'd like to see JP start, or have significant playing time, in the last 4 games of the season, and not before.
-
If you don't think that was a horrible pass that's all we need to know about your perspective on things. You're either blind (a distinct possibility given your "2 second" timings on the Bledsoe sacks in the Oakland game) or a guy that will defend Bledsoe to his grave, no matter how poorly he plays

If the Bills are going to lose that 7th game
MDH replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because unless you have some psychic ability to see into the future you never know what will end up being good for the team in the long term. As such, I always want 'em to win. -
Shhhh, don't mention this. Apparently Peter thinks that if the ball is in the same zip code as the WRs they should catch it...it doesn't matter if it is 10 feet off the ground or 3 feet behind the WR...it's not Drew's fault!
-
Your analysis was faulty, though not totally inaccurate. All of the sacks weren't Drew's fault, but he had much longer than the 2 seconds you claim to find a target on many of the sacks. I did an analysis of that game as well (with a stopwatch) since I was intrigued by Mularky's claim that only 1 sack could be put on the Oline Link Anyway, it seems pretty obvious that you're willing to cover for Drew's mistakes and lay the blame elsewhere. The bottom line is the Oline hasn't been that bad in pass protection this year despite what Drew apologists wants to believe. He makes them look much worse than they actually are. He locks on to WRs, doesn't go through his progression quickly enough, he waits too long to go to his outlet receiver and has the worst footwork I've seen in a QB this side of Jeff George, which accounts for his inaccuracy on short and intermediate throws. There is usually plenty of blame to go around when the team plays poorly, certainly its not all Drew's fault (and I've seen nobody claiming it is) but Drew's poor play has had a large part in the offense’s struggles this year. What you’re failing to realize (in all your infinite football knowledge that the rest of us don’t possess) is that the good QBs in this league make plays when there’s a breakdown in protection, they slide into the pocket, sense the rush, quickly make a blitz read and fire the ball to the appropriate target, etc. ANY starting QB in the NFL can be effective if he has great protection and a solid running game keeping Ds honest. ANY QB. Drew is one of the most ineffective QBs in the league. That doesn’t mean he can’t get the job done when everybody else is playing well, he can (as we all saw yesterday). But the problem with him is that at his best he’s a Trent Dilfer type game manager and at his worst he’s a mistake prone QB that costs us games. With “feast or famine” QBs, like Brett Favre, you’re going to get those terrible games where the QB loses games for you, but you’re also going to get those games where he puts the team on his back and wins it almost by himself. With Drew we only get the terrible games mixed in with some good “game manager” type games. The risk isn’t worth the reward in other words. He’s a “one square meal or famine” QB because we never get the “feast”.
-
Was Holt engaged with another blocker at the time? Because, if not, that's a legal block...
-
Catchable ball? You have to be joking... And those other INTs that went off WRs hands...most of them were poorly thrown balls that were behind the target or much too high. Bledsoe played well today, but let's not go overboard. He hasn't played "solid" this season. He's had some solid games and some horrid ones. It's what you get with Bledsoe...unfortunately it's not even "feast or famine", because we never get the feast. Bledsoe is like a "square meal or famine."
-
That wasn't me up above, but I'll say it too: The flea-flicker was under thrown. That being said Bledsoe played well today. Nothing spectacular, but we don't need spectacular, we need solid. If only he could play this way on the road...
-
You're padding the stats here. You're saying all those yards came in his 5 starts and then dividing the total number of yards by those 5 starts...all those yards did not come in those games. In McGahee's 5 starts he's carried the ball 127 times for 482 yards (3.8ypc). Willis is averaging 96.4 yards per start, not the 122 you're giving him. Breakdown by game: 20 – 100 St. L 14 – 37 NE 37 – 132 NYJ 30 - 102 Ariz 26 – 111 Mia

It was marked off 10 yards from the spot of the foul. It occurred at the 8 yard line, hence the ball was spotted at the 18yd line.
