Shrug, you're just making excuses because you don't want to believe that you yourself do these very things. Most people aren't comfortable enough with themselves to acknowledge their own faults. They generally have juicy rationalizations like the one above that can "explain" how they act and why it's different (I know I do this too, and when I catch myself doing it I hate myself for it). But if that’s what you need to make it through your everyday life thinking you’re a “good” person while at the same time doing the very things you claim to hate, then so be it. Everybody does it to some extent or another, but one should at least be aware that they do it…

Listen BF, there are lots of people on this board who have a right to complain about others "attacking and causing friction"...but you are not one of them. You do these very things yourself, so lets get off the high horse and leave the preaching to those who aren't mudslingers.

I've been here since the beginning (and over at the D&C board before this) and anybody saying, "it used to be better" is just romanticizing about the past ("ahh, the good ol' days!"). There have always been fighting, flaming and arguing. ICE threatening to hack the board and shut it down or beat people up at games...and he wasn’t the only one displaying this behavior. The only thing that has changed is we now have people saying, "it used to be better". There will always be people on this board who are in cliques, people who are great friends in RL (or in virtual life) and people who just don’t like one another. You’ll also have random flamers who just like to cause trouble or people who lose their temper and post things they shouldn’t or wouldn’t normally. It’s always been this way and it always will be. You won’t find it any better on any other board on the internet, mostly because they’re likely missing the great friends aspect of it. So just enjoy the parts of the community you like and do your best to live with the stuff you don’t.

That's why they play the games. Nobody in their right mind should think the Bills will win...but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

That's why I said in my original post I think they should just go ahead and trade Rivers...why hope this kid develops when you've invested 4 years in a guy who already has? They could get a top 5-8 pick for Rivers...sure it's not the best scenerio, but it's better than giving up a franchise QB.

I'm not so sure about this. Not that he doesn't have an extra gear, I think he probably does. What I think is going to happen is he's going to wear down by week 13. Rookies generally do having never played that much football before, and he's in an even worse boat having not played in over a year before this year. This is why I'd like to see him only get 20-25 carries a game and give the rest to Henry. We need Willis to be fresh the entire season.

I have no clue what their cap situation is, but when you have a franchise QB you do whatever it takes to keep him. You don't "hope" that the guy you just drafted turns into a franchise type QB.

I can predict the mistake the Chargers are going to make: They've put 4 years into him, developing him...and he's finally putting it all together. They have a rookie #2 pick sitting on the bench and Brees contract is up this year. So what does a perpetual loser franchise do? They'll let Brees go and cross their fingers that Rivers develops...of course they'll spend another 3-4 years developing him...and he'll be a bust. I can almost guarantee this scenario plays out. If the Chargers were smart they’d try to resign Brees and trade Rivers for a top 5 pick this year where they can address other positions…like the Oline.

The teams we play are somewhat favorable but 5 of those games are on the road...I don't remember the last time we played well on the road.

No choice? Did they choose the personnel grouping that was on the field for that play? Did they realize they had no timeouts and the running play might not work? If so, then they should have had two plays called in the huddle and the proper personnel in the game to run them both. It was a great win today, but I'm not going to excuse this poor game day coaching. I've been watching football since I was 7 or 8 years old...in my 24 years of watching football, both college and pro, I've never seen a team give up on a play like that at the end of a half/game. Never.

I'd disagree with this vehemently. From my first viewing of the game I'm fairly certain that every pass, except the one Fletcher was covering on, was completed against McGee, either in zone or in man coverage. Every single time a pass was completed and I looked at the number of the covering DB, it was 24.

And if anyone ribbed him for it, they'd be "the worst type of human being there is" (that's a paraphrase btw, don't want to misquote BF and cause more trouble!)

I'm not going to defend BFs statement here. But that play wasn't caused by McGee slipping. He was way out of position and even if he hadn't slipped it would have been a TD...he slipped while trying to move back towards a ball that was 3 yards behind him.

Somehow everybody else is at fault for mudslinging...you come in here the conquering hero and yet you sling mud yourself...I guess both you and Sue get free passes and everybody else is just terrible. Look at the mirror BF. So if I got all upset and started threatening you with violence and beers dumped over your head, would I be at fault too or just you for starting it by calling me an idiot?
