  1. What you fail to realize is that by starting JP the coaching staff would be retarding the entire team's development. Winning is an attitude as much as anything. This team is starting to get that attitude and you want to crush it by replacing the QB? http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20041207/...?tbd1030204.asp Read that article and tell me you want the coaching staff to walk up to Takeo and the rest of the team and say, "sorry guys, we're throwing in the towel this season and using the remaing games to develop our 1st round QB". No players would ever want to play for Mularky, TD, or the Bills again. We'd be the laughing stock of the league for throwing in the towel (just like we were when Wade said we didn't have a chance a few years back). This isn't all about one player, it's about the team. Winning = good, even if our first round QB isn't getting reps right now.
  2. Even if the Steelers have home field all locked up they will not rest their starters. They'll have a bye the first week of the playoffs and no coach is going to have his starters miss two staight weeks before a big playoff game. That's the recipe for a stale team. They'll play, and play the entire game unless it's a blowout one way or the other.
  3. Yeah, but those NE Patriots suck too. I mean, they haven't beat a single team with a winning record on the road. They have 3 wins this year agains teams with a winning record, all of them coming at home. Their one game against a winning team on the road? A loss. Why are their fans all giddy? I think somebody is confusing the NFL with college football. Winning is all that matters. But go ahead and try to defend your position. If you're not able to see that the Bills are playing some of the best football in the NFL right now then (to use a phrase from your book) you don't know football. Only Pit, NE, and Philly are playing better than the Bills are right now. What happened to your "good teams play well in Nov and Dec" montra? Isn't that what the Bills are doing? Or should they B word to the people in the NFL offices that they're schedule isn't hard enough?
  4. He also had a key block on Moulds' TD.
  5. If you're the Patriots you win the Super Bowl...
  6. The guy might have sucked as a head coach, but he's a fantastic D coordinator. It sounds like sour grapes to try to argue otherwise.
  7. The Eagles are the only good team in the NFC. If they don't win the conference this year they never will.
  8. Last 8 games: 6-2. STFU.
  9. Bledsoe played lights out today. Great job Drew. He deserves all the accolades he'll get for it. Just like he deserves the criticism he gets when he sucks. Keep playing well and you'll remain the starter. Play like you have the past 32 games overall and you'll see the bench. Simple as that. I don't have a small ego that requires me to be right. I'd rather be wrong and have Bledsoe dominate the dojo. We'll see if that happens.
  10. If you’re Lee Evans you get single coverage all day long. Look at his long TD catch. It only happens because the D collapses down on Moulds and doubles him. Pretty numbers don't tell the entire story. Moulds is, by far, the best WR on this team and defenses know it, it's why they continually double down on him.
  11. Shhh. It's only a small penis and acne you have to worry about, don't be silly.
  12. I love the line of thinking that says, "I would do X, and if you don't admit you'd do X too, you’re a liar." Pure genius.
  13. This would be my comparison too, mostly due to the way he let's a play develop before making a decision. He's a more physical runner than Thurman, but his vision and patience are almost identical to Thurman's. And to the poster “hoping” he turns out like Keith Byers…umm, if you’re going to “hope” for something, how about he turns out like a Hall of Famer and not a trivia question!
  14. Best chance for what exactly? To go to the playoffs? That's not happening this year. All Bledsoe does is give the Bills the best chance of not winning next year. Losman is the future of this team. First year starters struggle in the NFL. Why not have most of those struggles come this season instead of next. If they come next year its yet ANOTHER lost season. I, personally, am tired of missing the playoffs. Getting Losman prepared this year will help our chances next year.
  15. Ahh, its good to see you're above the name-calling that's bringing this board down sue. Yeah, let's try the "he insulted me first I'm defending myself" tactic this time too. To think, it used to be like family...
  16. I don't blame him for this. He was getting killed out there. Handing the ball off to Ricky was their entire offensive strategy. No running back wants to take that type of beating. I'll say it right now. I like what I've read about Ricky Williams. He's one of the few guys I've ever seen in the public eye that does exactly what he wants to no matter what the fans, media or his peers say/think. That takes a lot of courage and I respect that. Why play football this year? Because other people want him to? I, for one, don't think that's anyway to live one's life, though I'm guessing there are lots of people out there who disagree with me. It seems that the public likes the good little soldier and whenever someone steps out of line they jump on him. Ricky owes it to himself to do whatever he thinks is best for his life and nothing else. It doesn't matter what that is exactly as long as he's not harming other people with his decisions.
  17. I have Moulds on my fantasy team and he's not spectacular, but he's very very solid. Until this week he's pretty much given me 10 points week in week out (scoring: 6pts for a TD, 10pts every 10 yds receiving). He doesn’t give much more than that generally, but he rarely gives less than that either. The guy is a solid starter in fantasy ball. There are only so many "superstars" in FF, you also need consistent performers to fill out your roster, and Moulds is that.
  18. Yeah, but he comes up with a variety of different ways to call you an idiot and usually they're quite entertaining. So it's not a waste of bandwidth.
  19. I still haven't figured out what Reggie Miller was suspended for, from what I saw it appeared he was trying to keep the peace.
  20. Here ya go
  21. You give him reps once he's practiced enough to have a working grasp of the offense. I want to see JP in the games as much as anybody, but the guy has missed so much time if the coaching staff stuck him out there it would be another nightmare for the kid. Lets give the guy a few weeks worth of practice before throwing him in there. Hell, he was supposed to be a "2 year project" and now we want to throw him in games with 2 weeks worth of practice? That's not a way to build a young QBs confidence. I'd like to see JP start, or have significant playing time, in the last 4 games of the season, and not before.
  22. If you don't think that was a horrible pass that's all we need to know about your perspective on things. You're either blind (a distinct possibility given your "2 second" timings on the Bledsoe sacks in the Oakland game) or a guy that will defend Bledsoe to his grave, no matter how poorly he plays
  23. Because unless you have some psychic ability to see into the future you never know what will end up being good for the team in the long term. As such, I always want 'em to win.
  24. Shhhh, don't mention this. Apparently Peter thinks that if the ball is in the same zip code as the WRs they should catch it...it doesn't matter if it is 10 feet off the ground or 3 feet behind the WR...it's not Drew's fault!
