  1. Except if you're a RB. The shelf life of a RB is incredibly low and any RB taken in the top half of the 1st round (i.e. one that teams will want to sign 6 year deals) had better get every single dime they can out of that contract for they may never hit big paydirt again. That being said, this obviously doesn’t apply to our draft picks.
  2. Why would you want Posey to get cut? He's the 4th or best LB on the squad and can be used for depth (particularly if Spikes doesn't come back like we hope). It's not like the Bills are hard up against the cap or something.
  3. True that's not too bad, until you look at the games he won. JP was benched before coming home to play the Jets and the Phins back to back. Even BEFORE those games many were wondering why on earth the coaching staff would bench the young QB before the two easiest games on the schedule and at home no less. Those were confidence building games and the staff blew it by going to Holcomb. Had the Bills started Shane Mathews they likely would have won those games as the Jets and Phins were playing just horrid football at that time. What I said prior to those two games I feel like Nostradamus.
  4. Well, I've never said that. JP's struggles were mostly the result of him being young and green, hopefully he'll overcome those issues (otherwise we'll need a new QB). Sure the coaching staff wasn't helping him out much but the same can be said of everybody on the team. So given a choice as to which it is I'd say it's the former; Holcomb lacks either the arm strength or the heart to throw the ball down field (and by "down field" I mean 10 yards past the LoS).
  5. I don't recall that game in particular, what happened exactly?
  6. Yes, he was destined to get injured today no matter what city he happened to be in at the time.
  7. Yes, that's the only mistake Holcomb made all year. At no other time did he check down when he shouldn't have. Other than that one play he was consistently making throws down the field; be they 15 yard outs, 10 yard slants or long throws to Evans. Holcomb's decision making is terrible. He's the exact opposite of Drew Bledsoe (but not in a good way). Where as Drew would hold onto the ball forever hoping something developed down field Holcomb dumps the ball off on a short route at the first opportunity. At some point I hope we can get a QB in there that can make the deep throw when there's ample protection or dump the ball off when there's not.
  8. You're missing the point. Nobody is entrenched at QB and from all counts it looks like Losman and Holcomb are in a tight race for the spot. So how is it not educated to pick one of those guys and relegate the other to backup? Simply because they chose Losman and you don't think that's going to happen? Because the webpage arbitrarily lists one of them as the starter…when we all know there isn’t one? For the purposes of the article that had to select somebody and given that it's an open completion there's not a solid argument you can make against anybody they chose to relegate to backup duty.
  9. Yes, how dare PFW make an educated guess on who wins the QB competition since Holcomb is obviously entrenched as the starter.
  10. Mexico, Puerto Rico and Canada, in that order. I dig the brunettes.
  11. She might be of age but she still looks 15 in the face. A 15 year old face doesn't do much for me either.

I'm in...is there a min number required or will we go no matter how many play?
  13. It happens all the time on that site. My pop up blocker works overtime everytime I visit. And what do I get for the annoyance? Very poorly written articles. Sadly enough I'll read anything that has to do with the Bills.
  14. It's also pretty tough to be holding out when camp hasn't started.
  15. Bingo. Before his injury he was every bit as good and Lewis as was just starting to get the recognition he deserved. My second choice (in the last 15 years, not 25) would be A. Winfield. He didn't have the ability of Clements but he was (is) a superior cover man in both man to man and zone and a madman against the run...yet it's Clements who got all the praise.
  16. If this is the battle for second place, I'm guessing it's assumed I will retain my title?
  17. I need an escape from this escapism. Watching the Bills these past 5 years has taken more out of me than my job.
  18. I'm doing my best to make it but my wife is out of town which leaves me with putting our 2-year old to bed by myself...which is proving to be difficult. Hopefully he'll be down and out by 9. Edit: Of course, then I realize that it's on Wednesday this week and not Tuesday.
  19. At the LB spot I'm more concerned with lateral movement than I am straight ahead speed.
  20. I'm not sure if this belongs in Off The Wall or not as it does involve the Bills… My wife and I are seriously contemplating a move to the UK. After speaking with Nick in England via PMs it has become evident that watching every Bills game in London just isn't going to happen as they don't offer Sunday Ticket. So, my question: Would it be possible to buy a Slingbox, hook it up to my brother's second Direct TV receiver (in CT) and watch the Bills game via my computer in the UK while he watches his Colts game on his TV? I've never used a Slingbox or spoken to anybody that owns one so I'm curious as to the quality of the video and what type of lag you get while using it (particularly someplace as far away as the UK). Other than needing a power-converter for my computer are there any technical issues that I'd need to deal with? A second question: Is it possible to take my NTSC TV with me to the UK along with my DirecTV dish, point the dish to the proper place in the sky and receive my direct TV programming (namely Sunday Ticket) while in the UK? I realize DirecTV wouldn't allow me to do this if I informed them, but if I changed my billing address to a family member in the US is there anything technically that would prevent me from receiving the signal in the UK? Thanks in advance to anybody who can offer a little illumination on either of these subjects.
  21. I'm in.
  22. How can you NOT like those unis? They're classic and simple (just like the Bills throw backs).
  23. For that matter why do the Chargers not switch to their powder blue unis full time? They're the best NFL uniform I've ever seen but they only wear 'em a few times a year.
  24. Hah! Says the guy who beat pocket As with pocket Ks by flopping four of a kind!
