Yeah, how dare people start posts with their opinions on Buffalo Bills football on a (gasp!) Buffalo Bills message board! What on Earth are they thinking?!
I only had time to watch the first half but I too was impressed with the D. They swarmed to the ball and consistantly got penatration on running and passing plays. I think they're going to give up a few 10-15 yard runs per game but other than that I'm pretty impressed with how far they've come in such a short period with a new scheme. They've played well in both pre-season games. I might have to re-think my 5-11 prediction.
I wonder why Atlanta continues to make trades for WRs when Vick doesn't seem like he wants to get the ball to them.
Not a bad move for Washington as an insurance policy though it makes me wonder if Portis' injury isn't more severe than they're letting on.
Yeah, those other QBs have 100% completion percentages.
JP has lots of holes in his game but saying that other QBs dont' throw bad balls is just ridiculous. Of course they do, they do so all the time.
I can list about 20 QBs that are better than Drew. Most of the QBs I would leave off the list are young guys that haven't played much. Bottom line is Drew is one of the worst vet QB starters in the league. There's a reason teams keep cutting or demoting him.
I wasn't particularly pleased with WM's play last year (though I was the year before) but after seeing some of the highlights from the game Friday night I have to say that he looks closer to the player I saw in college than he ever has since being a Bills. Particularly on the 14 yard run which he fumbled. The quick cut and the burst he had moving through the line were particularly impressive.
The team probably is this bad, but it's to be expected. The Bills are implementing two schemes and there are quite a few young players getting plenty of playing time. That's not a recipe for immediate success. Unfortunately the Bills kick the season off with three divisional games which could put them way back before the teams gets their feet under them.
The third pre-season game is the tune up game for the starters for the regular season. Teams game plan and use their starters for at least the half. The starting QB needs to be named this week in order for the O to have any kind of continuity.
I was all for Nall getting a real shot at the job but his injury prevented that. It's too bad for Nall but the team has to move on and get the entire offense on the same page. They can't do that with a QB flip flop every game, particularly for this one.
What you really need to do is to come up with a trendy catch phrase, like "retard rodeo" then bust it out every other post. Sarcasm alone just isn't going to cut it here.
