Those WRs are completely protected...by the rule book. Anyone laying the lumber on them is going to get a personal foul and a hefty fine and they all know it. It makes a guy like Mike Williams incredibly valuable and not just in the red zone.

Hacket's play calling wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. His tendency to always run on first down is an issue. 1st down is the easiest down to pass on because you, literally, have your entire playbook at your disposal. Consistently running on it makes it more difficult to run the ball AND puts your QB in a position to always have to throw on 3rd down , which is the most difficult down to throw on if there are more than 4 yards to go. So his tendency is making it more difficult on the run game and more difficult on the passing game. He needs to mix it up more. I am fully behind a run offense and the pass/run ratio isn't a problem. It's his predictability that's going to be a problem.

It's why he's the only player in the past decade that I've owned a jersey of. He might just be my favorite player ever. He's not the best Bill ever but I love everything he brings to the table.

I swear he baited Cutler into making that throw. He kind of floated in space and then broke on the ball when it was thrown.

The Bills WRs are the first ones in the history of the league to make acrobatic catches because EJ is the first QB to not throw it perfectly every single time.

Are they ever going to let EJ throw the ball on anything other than 3rd down? It's pretty difficult for a QB to have success when they're only throwing in those situations.

1. If Sammy is healthy he'll put up the most receptions and yards. The big question is if he can stay healthy or if the ribs bother him all year. 2. Multiple defensive linemen will have double digit sacks, though I agree that sacks overall will be down. 3. I thought this about Brown too going into the pre-season but it appears that Dixon is the guy who will be on the active roster in front of him unless injury strikes. 4. Perhaps my definition of "strongly" differs greatly from yours but I don't think somebody who is truly "strongly" behind the starting QB starts this thread.
