  1. Not sure I'd include 9-7 with 7-9. One's a winning record and the other is par for the course in Bills' land. Huge difference Imo. That being said, I'll go with the optimistic (read: pre-season) view of the season: 9-7 and 2nd in the division.
  2. Yeah, I've noticed it too but I'm afraid to get my hopes up.
  3. Two weeks of camp and we know what he's capable of at this point? I think people need to put the breaks on. Sammy looks like he's destined for greatness but the kid needs to practice, even 11 v 11.
  4. Let's get back on topic people: EJ sucks!
  5. Isn't that what one is supposed to do to hookers?
  6. It seems like Dareus has a fire lit under his a**. I don't recall him putting the effort in to dominate in pervious camps.
  7. An "EJ sucks" thread masquerading as a "trade Spiller" thread. And not masquerading very well, I might add.
  8. Kelly over the goal line as time expires is the first thing I think of anytime somebody brings this topic up. I jumped around my living room like an idiot.
  9. Yeah, I agree. Until the game slows down for him they need to slow things down for him in terms of pace. There is absolutely no need to run a fast paced offense with a QB who still has to think too much. The guy has 10 NFL starts, give him some time to collect himself between plays.
  10. If they didn't try to "bridge those gaps" there would be no suspension at all. The fact that there is a suspension means that what's you're saying is a load of bunk. They NFL absolutely has a code of conduct and the commish has pretty much carte blanche to dole out punishments as he sees fit. Apparently, knocking out your fiance is worthy of 2 games...
  11. I'm thinking it won't necessarily take an injury or two. It wouldn't surprise me if he's the starter by opening day.
  12. Unless your offense is vastly superior to the other team's then the answer is they shouldn't run a no huddle. Both team's offenses get more snaps when the Bills run the no huddle. Do we really want other team's offenses having more snaps?
  13. If we're hoping, wouldn't it just be easier to hope that a light goes off and Manuel looks like a future HoFer? Hoping for the worst season in franchise history in hope that some "fix" is on the way is beyond idiotic.
  14. Yeah, but what was the wind chill temp?
  15. Actor: Toshiro Mifune (though Daniel Day Lewis isn't far behind) Actress: Ingrid Bergman
  16. Did that article really claim that CJ has exceptional vision? Nobody doubts his explosiveness but to say his vision is anything but a liability is to not watch him play. If he had exceptional vision he'd be the best back in the league.
  17. It's just like the UFC in that you have to understand what you're watching in order to fully appreciate it. I've taken Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 4 years and have a pretty thorough understanding of the ground game because of it. Yet there are others who get bored quickly because they just don't understand the nuances. They only understand submissions and not all the techniques that lead to those positions. The same goes for Soccer. Most Americans simply don't understand exactly what they're watching unless there is a shot on goal. The bottom line is if you don't understand what you're watching you're really not going to like it and will likely insult it and call it "boring."
  18. You didn't notice the giant club on his foot? I think Watkins might just be that special player at WR who is a difference maker right away. The kid just has all the tools to be great fast.
  19. Who says it has to make sense? Nobody complains about the L.A. Lakers name these days though I'm sure quite a few did when they initially moved from Minnesota.
  20. This is the NFL, if you can't run between the tackles then you can't be a successful running back. Players are too fast to try and run wide every time. Reggie Bush learned this lesson. Once he figured out he couldn't jump everything outside he became a much better back. Spiller would be a great 3rd down change of pace back - if only he could pass protect. You can't be in the backfield on 3rd downs if you can't pick up the blitz on a consistent basis. So where does that leave Spiller? As a back who needs a spread formation, gimmick type plays on 1st or 2nd down to "get him in space." That's not the kind of guy I'd like my offence built around.
  21. The guy played LB for 2 years and put up 23.5 sacks and 41.4 tackles for a loss. How this equates to "one year wonder" is beyond me. Anthony Barr is going to take a few years to get his feet under him (at which point people will call him a bust) but in a few years that kid is going to be a monster.
  22. I play in a keeper league and I'll have him higher than that on my board with the hope he'll develop into a stud I can keep around for 4 seasons.
  23. It's easy to look back with 20/20 vision and say, with clarity, that he did a good/bad job. The question is, do you approve of the way he's going about his job? It's a more difficult thing to do when you don't get to see the final results.
  24. No ones has doubted the guy's talent since he arrived in the league. He's consistently produced at a pretty high level. It's all about his off field issues. Hopefully he's grown up some, I guess we'll see.
  25. The problem with this arguement is Freddie doesn't get caught with all those <2 yard runs. So I find it hard to fault the OL as the primary culprit.
