  1. I agree in principle. What this also calls for is scrapping the hurry up, a D that can get off the field on 3rd downs and a punter who can help win the field position battle. Of course, you're right, all those things appear easier to achieve than winning shootouts with this offence.
  2. What I gather from reading this board is this: fans want the players and coaches to mirror their emotions and thoughts publicly. If they don't there is hell to pay!
  3. Then what this team needs now: an entirely new offensive line.
  4. Yeah, in retrospect, this.
  5. You think you hate it now, wait till you drive it!
  6. Yeah, you could be home watching the Bills instead of porn.
  7. This team needs a new punter. A team that plans on playing great D and conservatively on O needs better than the 32 ypp that Moorman offers.
  8. And down he goes. It's good to see the depth on the OL is on par with the starters.
  9. Yeah, I think he's safely made the roster. I
  10. And that's after he dropped one right in his chest, it bounced into the defenders hands (and should have been picked) then bounced back up into Woods hands for a reception. He doesn't looks "on" tonight.
  11. I don't think he was hurt again, I think he was still hurt but went out there anyway. A little contact and he thought better of it.
  12. I wish the Bills could have/would have signed Spikes to more than a one year audition contract. The guy is a beast against the run.
  13. Why he's out there at all if his ribs are still that tender is beyond me.
  14. Watkins gets a little hit and winces and touches his ribs a bit.
  15. You are wasting your time.
  16. I like vanilla and think it's getting a bad rap by being connected to uncomplicated, bland offenses.
  17. Alright, this is the point where somebody links a good story about a football player and saves this thread. Or, somebody can just pipe in here with better lies that the guy could have told in order not to have gotten caught. Either way, thread saved!
  18. I didn't watch the interview but based on the quotes I saw from it it sounded to me like he was saying that it would be disrespectful to Jordon if that was the reason he brought him in, not that he wouldn't take advantage of his knowledge once he's here. A fine distinction, but one none-the-less.
  19. If the Bills aren't going to run their regular offense, then why bother even playing EJ? I'm not talking about game planning, but running their full gambit of plays. Running the same 5-6 plays over and over again isn't going to do much for him. The whole idea of "not showing their hand" is pretty idiotic. After game one in the regular season everybody will have seen their offense anyway, so why not use the practice game to actually practice running the real offense? If they're not going to do it then just use the game for player evaluations and move on. EJ - nor any starters - need to play in that scenario. No kidding. There is no player more important to the Bills' season than EJ. Losing him would be more devastating than losing Mario or Watkins. The gap between him and the guys behind him is huge.
  20. The OP is the Skip Bayless of TSW.
  21. If only we had your brilliant mind running the team as it's obvious you can spot QB and coaching talent a light year away.
  22. What does Rob Johnson think of the Bills QBs?
  23. I'm for taking a shot (not always though) if you have faith in your short yardage unit to pick up the 1st down if you don't connect on the long ball. Unfortunately the Bills have been woeful in this regard in recent years.
  24. It's funny to see that list now and think back to how the careers of both Belichick and Carroll started in the NFL.
  25. Things are just happening too fast for him out there and he's not experienced/comfortable enough to make the reads he needs to in the time he's given. It's the classic young QB syndrome. It's why he looks much better in the 2 minute offense - he stops thinking and just goes out there and tries to make plays. Sure he looked bad in the 1st half yesterday but the posters saying he'll never be good are going way overboard. He needs time to develop. It's a process and the kid has only started 10 NFL games. There's no guarantee he'll ever be a legit franchise QB but the biggest mistake this franchise could make is listening to the fans who want to blow it up and start over again.
