  1. This team needs a new punter. A team that plans on playing great D and conservatively on O needs better than the 32 ypp that Moorman offers.
  2. And down he goes. It's good to see the depth on the OL is on par with the starters.
  3. Yeah, I think he's safely made the roster. I
  4. And that's after he dropped one right in his chest, it bounced into the defenders hands (and should have been picked) then bounced back up into Woods hands for a reception. He doesn't looks "on" tonight.
  5. I don't think he was hurt again, I think he was still hurt but went out there anyway. A little contact and he thought better of it.
  6. I wish the Bills could have/would have signed Spikes to more than a one year audition contract. The guy is a beast against the run.
  7. Why he's out there at all if his ribs are still that tender is beyond me.
  8. Watkins gets a little hit and winces and touches his ribs a bit.
  9. You are wasting your time.
  10. I like vanilla and think it's getting a bad rap by being connected to uncomplicated, bland offenses.
  11. Alright, this is the point where somebody links a good story about a football player and saves this thread. Or, somebody can just pipe in here with better lies that the guy could have told in order not to have gotten caught. Either way, thread saved!
  12. I didn't watch the interview but based on the quotes I saw from it it sounded to me like he was saying that it would be disrespectful to Jordon if that was the reason he brought him in, not that he wouldn't take advantage of his knowledge once he's here. A fine distinction, but one none-the-less.
  13. If the Bills aren't going to run their regular offense, then why bother even playing EJ? I'm not talking about game planning, but running their full gambit of plays. Running the same 5-6 plays over and over again isn't going to do much for him. The whole idea of "not showing their hand" is pretty idiotic. After game one in the regular season everybody will have seen their offense anyway, so why not use the practice game to actually practice running the real offense? If they're not going to do it then just use the game for player evaluations and move on. EJ - nor any starters - need to play in that scenario. No kidding. There is no player more important to the Bills' season than EJ. Losing him would be more devastating than losing Mario or Watkins. The gap between him and the guys behind him is huge.
  14. The OP is the Skip Bayless of TSW.
  15. If only we had your brilliant mind running the team as it's obvious you can spot QB and coaching talent a light year away.
  16. What does Rob Johnson think of the Bills QBs?
  17. I'm for taking a shot (not always though) if you have faith in your short yardage unit to pick up the 1st down if you don't connect on the long ball. Unfortunately the Bills have been woeful in this regard in recent years.
  18. It's funny to see that list now and think back to how the careers of both Belichick and Carroll started in the NFL.
  19. Things are just happening too fast for him out there and he's not experienced/comfortable enough to make the reads he needs to in the time he's given. It's the classic young QB syndrome. It's why he looks much better in the 2 minute offense - he stops thinking and just goes out there and tries to make plays. Sure he looked bad in the 1st half yesterday but the posters saying he'll never be good are going way overboard. He needs time to develop. It's a process and the kid has only started 10 NFL games. There's no guarantee he'll ever be a legit franchise QB but the biggest mistake this franchise could make is listening to the fans who want to blow it up and start over again.
  20. I agree with this but you're missing one important thing: All starting caliber QBs are good when they have great protection. It's how they get starting gigs in the first place. If a QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when standing tall in the pocket they'd never have made a team, much less start. What makes a QB good is his ability to operate under less than ideal circumstances. So yeah, EJ was much better when he was protected but he's got to be able to make quick decisions when things break down. He's not there yet but then again I don't expect him to be as he was viewed as a bit of a project and he's started less than a full season. Hopefully the light goes on sometime this season and things start to slow down for him. Otherwise it's going to be another long season.
  21. Says the guy with Doug Flutie as his avatar and username.
  22. I always saw the Hogan move as a ploy to get Woods up up his game and put more effort in. They wanted Woods to work as hard as Watkins or Hogan. Nobody who watches could actually think Hogan is the better player or deserved to be running with the 1s.
  23. See, I agree with you and think the Bills are progressing but I can see where the national pundits could think the opposite. What they see is an All Pro in Byrd gone, the Bills best WR of the past 5 seasons let go and the Bills trading away a 1st round draft pick in next year's draft. To top it off they pretty much all thought Manuel was drafted too early last year so they don't have a lot of faith in him. But that's why they play the games.
  24. I'm with you that I wouldn't mind Ponder as a back up but there's no way in hell Hogan alone gets that trade done.
  25. So when somebody talks back to an authority figure the authority figure has automatically, "lost control?" Kids talk back to their parents, to their teachers and employs to bosses. It's what happens when people can't control their emotions. In no way does that equal "losing control." Personally, I like seeing some guys get angry out there. It's better than the sleepwalk we've seen the past decade.
