  1. Check out the video at the bottom of the article. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57618092-1/noooo-why-beer-delivering-drone-grounded-by-faa/
  2. This isn't PPP, how about a little respect?
  3. Have you ever been to a Dr. with a problem? They don't do sh*t unless they have to thanks to the insurance companies. I've had neck, shoulder and back issues and they won't even take an MRI until I go through 6 weeks of physical therapy first. If there is any improvement with physical therapy they won't order the MRI. With my shoulder they actually gave me the MRI and when it was discovered that I had a partially torn rotator cuff they didn't order surgery it was, "just keep doing the exercises." Years and years later I still have to do those exercises 3-4 times a week because if I don't my shoulder feels like sh*t. So yeah, guys in the NFL get different treatment than the rest of us because they have a financial backer who doesn't mind paying for all the procedures.
  4. Agreed. If he'd just put an add on Craig's list announcing he's looking for coaches instead of hiring people he knows from personal experience are quality coaches the Bills would be much better off.
  5. You did see that I quoted a specific post and in that specific post references were made about not staying up for the entire game and it being a "garbage of a Super Bowl." I don't know about you but I think that constitutes as "not excited for the game." The DVR is a football fans' best friend. Start the game 45 min to an hour late and skip the commercials. By the end of the game you'll have caught up to the live action so you can see the finish live.
  6. Wow. Just wow. This SB is one of the more interesting match-ups in years. It's easily the two best teams in the league and they have very different football teams. If you're not interested in this game I'd say you're not interested in football. Granted, I always hate the SB coverage leading up to the game but it doesn't detract from the game itself - it's just noise.
  7. How am I being thin skinned? I didn't take offense to anything he said. I agree with him that it was puzzling why they brought him in. I just questioned his comment, "I've erased last year from my mind. I don't remember anything from the Bills." That's a pretty strong comment and I laughed out loud and thought, "I bet his former teammates appreciate that." Nothing more, nothing less. Btw, why did you put "teammates" in quotes?
  8. I'm sure T-Jax's former Bills' teammates appreciate being thought of so fondly.
  9. The guy did "nothing too good" in Baltimore to such an extent that he was seriously considered as the team's new offensive coordinator. Yeah, it sounds like Harbaugh really disliked the job he did.
  10. Actually, it's not. He's making it more difficult on himself with the way he's handling it. Just answering with the typical cliche lines and a smile gets the job done and over with without all the drama. Now he's become a story and he'll get even more attention. There are articles being written about him acting bazar. There would be no articles about him if he spoke in cliche. If he's looking for the easy road he took a wrong turn.
  11. Now that is a tough bet.
  12. I didn't like the Whitner pick or the Spiller pick at the time they were picked. I remember when Spiller's name was called I cursed loudly in what can only be called a semi-insane rant of anger. Sure Jackson was 29 at the time but you don't spend a top 10 pick on one of the few positions you're set at on your team. Lynch was still on the team at the time, there was nothing forcing them to trade him and the Bills had loads of holes to fill. As for Whitner I said it then and I'll say it now, you don't draft a Safety that high unless he's so good you think he'll be an all time great - a game changer. Those guys don't come around that often at that position. Whitner was not that type of special talent. You'll never see me killing them for taking a guy like McCargo or M. Williams. Those were highly regarded players who would have filled big needs for the Bills. Sure they missed but misses happen to everybody.
  13. He'll be a rookie of the year candidate (or maybe rookie of the year) and then it'll be a straight drop down. The guy has so much media attention and lacks the maturity to be able to deal with it and everything else that goes along with it. He will be Vince Young V2.0. But hey, you'll get a year of "I TOLD YOU SO!" before the media circus that covers his self implosion feeds on him like a wake of vultures.
  14. If I had to choose a guy right now to have going forward? Absolutely I'd take Lynch. If I had to choose 3 years ago when the Bills got rid of Lynch? I'd have taken Jackson and the choice wouldn't have been difficult. Jackson was the better runner, better receiver, better pass blocker, better leader and better human being. Hell, even today he's still all of those things except better runner. The hard part to swallow in all this is that the Bills used a 1st round pick on Lynch then turned around and used another 1st round pick on Spiller when they already had Fred Jackson on the team. In fact, Jackson was the Bills best player the season before they drafted Spiller. It's picks that that which keep the Bills spinning their wheels year after year.
  15. Lynch couldn't beat out an un-drafted, arena league football Fred Jackson. Maybe that Fred Jackson guy is pretty good...
  16. The thing is that he only got his shot because it was dysfunctional Cleveland. And even then he was like their 3rd or 4th option. Pettine will fall flat on his face and I won't feel any pity for him, he decided to take a job that the other premiere coordinators knew to be toxic because he wanted the job NOW. He was in line to have a top 5-10 D this year with all that talent and he'd get better opportunities next year or the year after. And while he's right that there are only 32 of these jobs in the world its also true that most first time HC failures don't get second chances - so you better make sure that first time is a perfect fit.
  17. Lucky bastard. That sounds amazing. For my money they're one of the all time greats.
  18. Smart money says neither gets there. Not with the organizations their currently attached to.
  19. Blood Sugar was the beginning of their pop transition though. Sure, a lot of it is similar to their earlier stuff but more polished but songs like Breaking the Girl and Under the Bridge were the types of songs you'd never have heard from them on previous albums. The same goes for Metallica. Their self titled "black" album was the beginning of the end. Suddenly their 8 minute jam-season like songs were cut to 3-4 minutes so they could get video and radio time. And tunes like "The Unforgiven" and "Nothing Else Matters" were the warning shot fired across the bow. When I heard those songs I knew the Metallica I loved was pretty much over. Even the much loved "Enter Sandman" is more mainstream metal than tracks on their previous albums.
  20. I thought this was an interesting piece I found yesterday about the 2014 QB class. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl-gm-2014-qb-class-231400978--nfl.html According to one GM:
  21. I guess we'll disagree on their most definitive album because I haven't been able to stomach most of their stuff from the past two decades. I was a fan when Slovak was around and Fruciante's first go around. Everything since then (and even at the end of Fruciante's first stint) was pretty over-produced. Sure they became more mature and better musicians but they lost that vibrant youthful soul/energy that attracted me to them in the first place. Sometimes better isn't better. I'm guessing most would consider Blood Sugar their definitive album though I'd go with Mother's Milk with Uplift Mofo running a close second. See what all those things have in common? They were decades ago. The way I see the band they had two distinct phases - post Blood Sugar and pre. I vastly preferred the pre. I never cared for Californication, By the Way, One Hot Minute or Stadium Arcadium though to be truthful by the last few I stopped giving them my full attention to listen all the way through - it was just no longer for me. And Navarro, while a fine guitarist, was never a good fit for the Chili Peppers.
  22. Why? Nashville's a nice city while Detroit is a dying one. It's not even close if you have a family. I'm guessing you've never been there. Add to it that Tennessee doesn't have a state income tax which makes it even more than the extra million.
  23. We're left with half the league making the pro bowl as they keep adding replacements.
  24. If you're going to go back that far why not just wish that Hillel Slovack rises from his grave to play the show? And I don't think it was Frusciante's departure that caused the band to sail off into obscurity, it was father time.
  25. Obviously Welker is a thug.
