  1. No surprise, the state recommends the community grid option, the "cheapest" at about $2B. Want to read the 15,000 page report? Here it is... https://www.dot.ny.gov/i81opportunities/repository
  2. Any updates on this? How much longer do I have to "forget" to donate?
  3. Got this email today....
  4. He has three months to pull this together. Is it possible? Maybe if all the artists have been paid up front as reported. After that it’s all permits. And we know NY is not known for speeding through permits unless there’s some cash slipped under the table.
  5. Cancelled? Not so fast says Michael Lang... https://www.newyorkupstate.com/concerts/2019/04/woodstock-50-not-canceled-organizer-insists-its-going-to-be-a-blast.html
  6. Look at the Bills list.... https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/buffalo-bills/leaders/career-scoring-points 5 of the top 8 all time point leaders are kickers. In a way, it's not too bad of a pick. You get a player that is consistent with their kicks, and being a kicker they never really get too much action, they can last in the league for years as long as the refs keep saying "It's Good!"
  7. Look at the dancers themselves. They are facing in opposite directions. Then notice the legs, one is standing on the right leg, the other on their left. Since you're concentrating on one image and not the other, it appears that they are spinning in the same direction, but it's actually opposite directions. If you can, try watching the middle one, and you'll pick up the slight difference in rotation out of the corner of your eyes.
  8. Carrier and Bristol Myers did the same thing here in Syracuse. Guess it was cheaper to tear them done than leave them empty when you consider having to keep heat and water turned on. Because these NY maps, from Albany, do not list an Upstate region... https://www.dec.ny.gov/about/50230.html https://esd.ny.gov/regions https://paththroughhistory.iloveny.com/regions/#.XMeoWndFyUk https://www.visitnewyorkstate.net/regions/
  9. Watertown, NY, mid 1980's I don't remember the exact year, but it was back when the WWF still did small house shows. Harley Race was the King Of The Ring so sometime after 1986 I think. We were at the Watertown High School gym for a show. Macho was one of the headliners for the night. Part way through the fire alarm starts going off, we think because we could smell burning popcorn from the concession stand. So they ask everyone to exit through the nearest exit. We are standing outside by the exit door and there's a car parked right there. All of a sudden, the door opens and out comes Macho and Elizabeth. He makes Liz get in the car and he stays outside watching the crowd. We were literally less than 10 feet away, and even though he was considered a good guy at the time, he had this look/vibe about him that no one dared approach him for pictures or autographs. Eventually they cleared the fire alarm and let us all back in, but it was so surreal, being that close to him. I kinda wish we could have at least taken a picture of him.
  10. Phish had torrential rain in the few days before the festival, I was working in the area then, and several main roads around Watkins (the town and the track) were closed due to flooding and needing repairs. Your link mentions none of this. The issue with clean water was because water sources were all turned up with mud from the run off. Same thing happens wherever there is torrential rains and flooding, why they will announce not to drink the water or boil it first.
  11. Phish las year was unavoidable due to weather, not the band itself.

  17. There's a lot of homes along Big Tree Road/20A that do parking. If you're heading to 219 after a game, that's your best spots.
  18. If you don't mind your money being tied up for a while, do what my parents did with their current house, which they bought in the 1970's. It had been a farm with a lot of acreage. A landowner in the area bought the entire thing (he leases out his land to farmers) and told my parents they could buy 4 acres of the land from him, as long as all 4 acres encompassed all the existing buildings. (House, two barns, milk house, smoke house, chicken coup) They went with the basic 2x2 shape for their portion of the land. You could do the same, buy it all, then split off the house and any buildings and sell it as a separate parcel.
  19. Let us know if you find any six fingered men.
