Went to a local chain sit-down restaurant, known for it's early bird type of crowd, we got there on the tail end of it. Got seated right away, then waited for someone to come by. And waited. And waited. We weren't hidden away in a corner, we were on the main aisle where everyone going to/from the kitchen had to pass us. We ended up bailing after about 15-20 minutes without anyone stopping by. Have not been back since.

Went on a first date with a girl from Match, doing the whole "getting to know you". She's telling me how she has all these high morals and ethics, then later proceeds to tell me how she downloads movies off the internet because they charge too much at the theaters, but it's okay because it's just for her and her son. And no, her name was not Tracy Lee. I know I have a few other stories, but that's the only one I can recall right now.

Used to donate regularly when I worked about two blocks from a donation center, so it was easy to just go after lunch and do it. I did figure out that if you gave right after the New Year, you could give seven times in one year, as long as you kept to the schedule of when you could donate again.

A former co-worker of mine got stuck at the Atlanta airport for that. Couldn't get a flight out because they were all being delayed/cancelled. But couldn't leave the airport because taxis were not available and hotels were sold out. Only plus for him, was being hourly, he was getting paid the whole time just sitting there waiting.

I had to remove the inner wheel well plastic to change the bulbs in my driving lights on my RAV4. Like most here, I know what I can do, and what tools I have, so I can choose my battles, or pay someone. Like when I moved in with my then GF, now wife, the cold water would not shut off when it was running, so she would run downstairs and shut it off manually when she heard the washer go into the spin cycle. No way was I doing that. Looked it up, and it was the valve in the washer itself. $40 for the part and about 20 minutes of my time. She also had a ceiling fan in the kitchen with a light that would not shut off, it worked off a remote, not the traditional pull chains. Looked it up, and found others had the same issue, the receiving unit in the fan was bad. Bought a new unit and viola! Fixed.

I know I’ve heard of Lexis Nexis from one of my previous jobs. I just don’t remember which one or why I knew about it.
