  1. Yes really. You think we want to put in our real offense and teach it to all these guys in camp, then when we cut someone, Bill Bellyache picks 'em up and they regurgitate the offense back to him for a cool 6 figures? Just think back to when Coach Gailey was here and we ran a boring as all get out running offense all pre season and then in the first game vs the Cheaps we run a wide open offense and score 40 points. Just because a team blitzes in PS does not mean it's how they will in the regular season.
  2. Amen and double Amen. I just wanna win as many games as possible. while many were pissed because we went to playoffs last year and lost in the first round. I thought it was awesome because it made the stretch run of November and December fun for once. I want to do it again this year. Winning is fun. Losing sucks. Besides, I don't know about the rest of yall, but I'm getting older by the minute. I've done enough losing for one lifetime and I've only been a bills fan since 1996.
  3. He didn't do much statistically in SB XL either.
  4. Doug gets a bad wrap. If Rex (not Doug's choice) had been able to coach D, the drought would have ended in 2015.
  5. it's called observing. it's pre season.
  6. what about the other 3? some he had ZERO time and some he held onto it too long. Even the man Himself said so.
  7. so TBD says. OBD says differently. "Once he's healthy we pick up where we left off" -- Coach McDermott.
  8. should he get a total pass because of the pressure? Should the same standard be used for A J in week 2?
  9. it's pre season. NO team is going to show it's scheme in pre season.
  10. Sometimes yes, and sometimes no.
  11. Punting unit needs practice too and Shawn's gotta find out who can cover.
  12. Exactly. Was going to comment on this as well. He threw it off his back foot or maybe between steps as you suggest. He's got a lot of work to do.
  13. I agree. The line was bad, but so was he. I was very disappointed when in the 1st quarter (2nd and 13 at 7:02 remaining in first), he had 2 plays in a row where he could have done something, but made horrid passes instead. I'm talking about the one where he rolled out out of pressure to the right and had time and had Clay deep, but horribly under threw him. I was told with that cannon arm he would never under throw anyone. Luckily it wasn't a pick. The next play he had time and looked like some open guys but he just rifled it out there between them all. I'm not sure who he was throwing to. Another punt. I don't think we can blame this totally on him being rattled from a bad OLIne. It was in the first quarter. If he get rattled that fast, hopefully he stays on the porch. He did make some nice short passes which I was glad to see.

  15. all 3 played last year and we had a better O Line. And if our 3rd guy didn't step up in the clutch, we'd be sitting on 18 now.
  16. Me too. In all 3 pre season games, the starting QB has been mortalized. Second guy in seems to get better protection.
  17. any ideas as to who?
  18. I remember one year we opened up against Seattle who had been to AFC Championship the year before. No one gave us a chance. We whipped their butts. They finished up 6-10 that year of something. You just never know.
  19. Nasty Nate had his usual stellar pre season game performance. Hats off to him. i still don't trust him in a real game. Not so sure Coach McDermott does either. Not counting AJ out yet ...
  20. Now he looks like a pudgy/fat cartoon character. The old one was wierd, but give me weird over cute any day when it comes to FOOTBALL.
  21. i think whoever we put in should NOT be throwing it all over the yard. Establish the run game and play ball control. Let the D do it's thing and capitalize on TOs. I believe that to be the process. I partially blame the coaches for the Nasty Nate Chargers debacle. Bring a rookie QB in on the road against a strong pass rush and have him throw it all over the yard. Especially after the 3 play all run play drive to put us back in the lead.
  22. We need all 3 QB s on the roster so we have someone healthy enough to start each week. 2/3 of them have sustained injuries in the first 2 1/2 games. And, although AJ is the lost man and a dead man walking here on TBD, I suspect the opinion is different over at OBD.
