  1. Thanks for the info Kirby. Didn't realize he had been sacked that often. Sometimes it is better to take a sack than throw an ill advised pass. Should be fun to see what hAppens Friday night.
  2. My brother. Me too. I voted Ray Gun in 80 and 84 and HW in 88 and Perot in 92 and 96.
  3. Good post. Thanks. I agree. Those guys are very rAre is the problem. We used to be in that shape. All of those teams you mention have spent years in the QB dessert. hopefully we got it now from one of these guys. I don't care which one. Somebody. Any body ... I'm gonna disagree on the bolded. I think AJ feels the pressure and is able to float in the pocket to get to open spots and then pass. Sort of like Drew Brees does (NOT SAYING HE IS AS GOOD AS DREW). Theses more than 1 way to beat pressure. Thanks for explanning fellow dog. I just won't trust it til I see it however. There's a big difference from being touched for a sack and having Suggs barreling right at you.
  4. Help me out here. My concern is he can't handle pressure. I haven't watched any practices, but you can't even touch the QBs in practice. that's why they wear those red jerseys. I did watch the game and Carolina did'n't put that much pressure on him. What specifically did you see in a practice or the Carolina game that make one think he can now handle pressure whereas 6 months ago he could not?
  5. Again you didn't answer my question. I know it's a new year. What have you seen in practices in shorts and red jerseys that tells you he is better under pressure? He also went 9 for 9 in the last pre season game last year. And you saw what happened ...
  6. You didn't answer my question. Do you think if Nasty Nate starts Baltimore will not blitz the pants off of him? This will also the first game for a 40% new OLine. If (WHEN) they do, do you think he will be able to handle it any better than he did last year? If so, what makes you think so?
  7. If you want to go by pre season stats and practices in red jerseys then I guess you can say that factually. Facts tell me a different story. To me AJ looks way ahead of Nasty Nate. AJ has impeccable footwork and pocket presence. He can tell the pressure and slide around to an open spot and throw the football. He doesn't just take off running like the other guys do. He has really good accuracy as well. The 62 yard play Thursday was stallion IMHO. He got 2 possessions and we scored both times. No TOs If it's close we gotta go AJ. The book is out on Nasty Nate that he melts under pressure. Coach Lynn could tell this from last years PS games and took it to him. You saw the results. Jacksonville did the same and in 4 plays he has one one intentional grounding and 1 pick. If he starts expect to see much more of the same. What mKes You think this won't be a problem?
  8. Like last year and the year before? Did you like that?
  9. It doesnt matterwhat "feel" you get. It's who plays better on the field in the games. So far at least it appears to be AJ.
  10. True and Funny. It's great that Nasty Nate has put up some nice numbers in pre season and practice. But I still don't want him to start. The reason being he melts under pressure or at least has in any real action he has been in so far. What do you think Coach Harbaugh is going to do if Nasty Nate starts? REDDOBBLITZ THE PEEJEEBEERS OUT OF HIM Just like Coach Lynn did. He said they could tell from pre season tapes that he couldn't handle pressure so they brought it. Do you really want to watch that? Oh, and AJ was in the same division with Baltimore for 4 years. He probably has a good idea on how they play and their strategies.
  11. Maybe to see how long the OLine could hold them? Give 'em a little extra practice. Remember we're trying to get them ready for the season too.
  12. I voted clowns. I just think it would be really cool if Hotrod could be the guy that led the team with the longest drought to the playoffs 2 years in a row!
  13. There was one play before the Murphy TD on about the 8 yard he drops back, and looks right a RB a few yds down field thAt was way open but didn't throw it to him and eventually threw it out of the back of the EZ. explains that. we could win a lot of game this year with AJ under center IMHO.
  14. i think it's good when this happens.
  15. Rub some dirt on it. sounds like nothing. But it is really good click bait through.
  16. it's pre season for cheaters too.
  17. She is right about this: this from an article in Seattle Times i can't link to.
  18. Twitter is just a high tech peanut gallery. I wonder if the Kremlin Annex folks will get involved?
  19. Watson comes back stronger and they improve the rest of the team. Division win.
  20. i thought he played VERY well. That 62 yard play was amazing. We scored the most points with him in for the shortest amount of time. Allen hurt himself (not that it matters really). It's nice to be able to throw the football a country mile, but it's better to throw passes that guys can actually catch.
  21. No other teAm would wants Hotrod, EJ, Matt Cassell, i think the model is Patrick Mahomes. That's if The Process follows "models" that is.
  22. Watched the game tonight. Offense looked really good in the first half Was glad to see some WRs like KB, Streater, Kerley, Ray Ray, and Lee make some really nice catches.Gives me hope! As far as QBs, I thought AJ was the clear winner. If you just go by stats, he and Nasty Nate were close. But AJ looks like a real QB. He floats in the pocket to buy time, he steps up into the pocket, and delivers nice passes. He also improvised well on the 62 yard play rolling right to avoid pressure than then throwing all the way across the field to the open WR in stride. By far the best QB play of the day IMHO. We scored the most points with him in (10). Nasty Nate looked like he did in the final pre season game last year. Drop back and throw right away to a guy short often standing still. The scramble pass to KB was a thing of beauty. Playing with the 1st string WRs helped him.. Josh to me looked like the project advertised in scouting reports from the Spring. Made some really good plays and some really bad ones. Who he was playing with contributed I'm sure. Once he gets a little chemistry with the WRs hopefully he can hit some of those long balls. Murphy the RB looked good. Who is this Lee kid that caught that pass late. Nice catch. The pass to Ivory and h the YAC was nice to see. go Bills. On to Cleveland.
  23. this could be fun.
