Yup, was pretty sure Hill for 4-5 was the call going into the game. Take into account his injury history, and keeping him fresher and healthier for a future game was the correct call for game 2. Pulling Morrow was the killer to me. Disagreed at the time because, for as much as I'm glad he's our closer, I still don't trust Jansen with his HR letups. If Puig had just completed that catch (fantastic job just getting into position), Morrow stays in and I'd give us a huge chance of winning. Everything went on script except trusting Jansen for 2 innings against a WS team.

Fox is a cheap network to the point where they don't even know when they're crossing into just plain bad. I worked for them once upon a time. Just take a look at any Super Bowl they've done- they STILL have not figured out it's worth spending a few extra bucks to balance the cameras(color balance) on the MOST WATCHED GD TELEVISION SHOW ON THE GD PLANET! This is what happens when the morons are in charge.

Oh man, this just reminded me of a Spanish gal who got a D-something in my high school Spanish 1 class. Jorge Peraza was the teacher, he later got busted for having relations with his gal students. Dude assigned seating to have the hot chicks sit around his desk, so I guess it was kinda in the open. My Spanish 3 teacher, Ms. Wolf, had the hots for me- I totally knew it.... innocent of all charges, but I got an A If you have kids, definitely be on the lookout for the llllanguage instructors!

Got a D in photography. The class voted one of my photos the best of the semester. I turned out to do photography for part of my work life. Who knows sometimes. From a different instructor, the finest artist I've ever known got an F. I got an A.... and I'm most certainly not the finest artist I've ever known.

Verlander vs. Hill. Likely advantage to the Astros, but I could see the Dodgers going to the bullpen early. If the Dodgers get through 4-5 innings close, they can shut down the rest of the game. And if they can get through Verlander, they've got a serious (theoretical) pitching advantage for the rest of the series. Win for Vin!

I really do wish it were the Yankees from the AL.... need to start evening up that WS record sometime. ) But seriously, folks... I don't know how much NL ball y'all pay attention to, but the Dodgers farm is in full boner mode, and they're looking like they smartly (finally) augment what they can't grow at will. This is gonna be a tough team for a loooong time.

So he ripped off Roger McGuinn, and wasn't the Beatles. He also couldn't deliver the payload of a B-17 from 24,000 feet. I also remember a previous post where you were certain Keith Moon had to have over-dubbed his drumming during live performances because he couldn't have done it that well, lol. What a ball of delight!

I have a sort of not ripping on Tom Petty story if you like... My oldest sis married one of the formulative heroes of early FM radio. He was program director/DJ of several of the biggest radio stations in the country and was brought in to help MTV during its early days. As it worked out, he, from what I understand, gave Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers their first radio launch. He's since passed away, but he and Petty became friends. TP would send him all the silver/gold/platinum record plaques as they got them. I've seen them... pretty cool haha. So here's the funny and sweet part with my sis. When she was dating Thom, her soon to be husband, they went to a Tom Petty after-party, and when her Thom introduced her to Petty for the first time TP said, 'I just want to say this... before I get drunk, and it doesn't mean anything, that you are a VERY beautiful woman'. She was, no doubt, and she tells the story with a very sweet aknowledgement of who Tom Petty is and was. It was the 'before I get drunk...' part that really makes the story haha. I never got to meet him personally, but my gut, and my sis, says he was a very genuine individual, who happened to have a very deep talent for expressing feelings that maybe we don't even recognize, but really do exist. The world is a better place for having had Tom Petty in it.

Throw in Leslie Frazier and we have Les Moonves, AFC on CBS architect. Coincidence?
