  1. Aside from the part where Buffalo brought us evangelical conferences, why does the weight of every human frailty fall upon Bills fans. This is USC's problem.
  2. My first season without Vin... it was hard to fathom, but here we are. GO DODGERS BLUE!!!
  3. Such weird 'thinking' taking place. From the league's financial perspective, I've gotta think the extra point move was to make the XP more dramatic... which it now is, cough Mr. Carpenter, forcing us football nuts to stay tuned through the commercials to see the 'meat'. But now they want to eliminate the commercial breaks surrounding the XP? Not a rocket surgeon to be found anywhere near this league. Don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna complain if they eliminate every break which does not concur with the natural flow of the game.
  4. Maybe we can bring in a short yardage specialist punter with the extra roster spot.
  5. This is as good a forum as any for this type of thing: I'm looking to sell my share in the computer for $50 cash US. Any interested parties should contact via PM. Thanks and good luck.
  6. Cup of chicken broth, or they're not getting my business.
  7. Yeah, well, we all try to do our part. Out of curiosity, are you one of the 4 million Alaskan pilots? I get the transportation side of it, but I've always been kinda amazed by how many people fly up there.
  8. A. This may be the saddest post in the history of posting. B. What the !@#$ is up with brain hemmorages lately? Is it fashionable or something?
  9. Manning's only starting to do the **** Montana pulled of his whole career.
  10. I know you're asking about NT's, but if we're sticking with the 4-3, I'd really like to see Brian Price, UCLA, brought in as a 3 technique DT. The guy is constantly in the backfield and doesn't seem to have any quit in him.
  11. If it were a clear shift from one hand to the other, you'd have an argument. It bounced around between his hands. No catch. Good teams overcome correct calls. As an added bonus, J-E-T-S fans have absolutely nothing else to blame but their team. Lordy, how I do feel for them.
  12. This article is what is right about your profession and why it's a cryin' shame to lose journalists. ... even sports ones
  13. I'm on the west coast and won't be at the game, but I think this thread is right on. I hope a lot of people chant his name. That would be the coolest move Bills fans could possibly pull off. What he did was right. He cought the ball with 2:06 left on the clock, with 3 timeouts for the Patriots, and tried to keep the clock running through the 2 minute warning- which would have given the Pats a free timeout. Those of us watching knew he should have gone down once he was contained, but remember, he was only 30 yards up the field at that point. He could have kept fighting to burn a couple extra seconds off the clock. You boo him and you're an !@#$^le, afaic. LE-O-DIS!
  14. "Police kept telling me it couldn't be the same guy," Kenley said Wednesday. "I couldn't believe that there were two guys going around doing this to the same horse." http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...1.DTL&tsp=1
  15. Fred Biletnikoff, Lester Hayes, Cliff Branch, Jack Tatum
  16. I've never gotten to see it. Is the Thurman Thomas show better than gone with the wind? 34
  17. Going no-huddle doesn't mean we're switching to a constant two-minute drill. They can still use the entire clock if that's the cadence they go for on any particular play/drive. The highlight reels don't show our offense taking 30 seconds to set up a Jamie Mueller draw play. The pace of our offense ended up faster, no doubt, but it doesn't have to be run faster than any other offense. When you've got guys(Lofton, Thurman...) picking up 30 yard chunks, drives tend to go pretty fast as well.
  18. Nice post. I'd bet Schouman's going to be planted off Langston Walker's shoulder this season, at least a good chunk of the time, with Fine being our 'glamour' tight end. Walker and Schouman can knock Joey Porter on his butt- and hopefully we call some shotgun runs off the left edge to make that point stick. Walker and Chambers/Levitre need to work out who gets their RDE, though. Who is the RDE for the pink & teal, btw?
  19. Ahhh, the old two-headed gadget play. IIRC, the original 'Lucky Pierre on 3' was drawn up like this: Graham»Beerball>Schrager
  20. Did you really need to include an allusion to which positions the writers have, in the grand scheme of things. In other news- according to the article, both Shawn Crable and Pierre Woods have been champing at the bit for more playing time, and it looks like they may get some. Lucky Pierre.
  21. I work on both every day. Apple has always had a better conceived operating system- from a user standpoint. The Mac is exponentially more reliable, and frankly a more elegant interface. Over the course of their lifetimes, the Macs will probably come out costing a few cents more an hour. Also, I was starting to develop carpal tunnel from working on PC's so much- I have still never found a PC mouse that works for me. Now that I'm back primarily on Macs, the condition has actually reversed to the point where it's a non-issue. No brainer- The Macintosh is far superior and well worth the extra money. My only complaint is the lack of separators on the F-key portion of the MacPro keyboard. All my keys are mapped and I find I have to look down at the keyboard too much, as they're not split into groups of 4.
  22. Yeah, you showed him. :shakesfistintheair:
