    You and me both, brother. The one saving grace is that this could be the last year with DTV, with the their exclusive contract running out at the end of the season.

    Go back to the regular season rule with a ten minute OT, but no sudden death. If tied after 10 minutes, tie game. In the playoffs, if tied after 10 minutes, play another 10 minute period, again no sudden death. Yeah, it could go on for what would seem like forever, but the premise of the game, with clock management, is preserved.

    1984, Casey's in Brockport, Monday nights: $5.00 for 50 wings and $5.00 pitchers of Genny. We knew the cook and he told us to ask for "sliced celery" when ordering so he knew it was us, and he'd throw another dozen or so on the pile. Fine dining while watching MNF.

    I remember going camping at Darien Lake in the early 70s, which BTW was nothing like it is today...it was mainly just a campground...but I remember Braves logos all over the place. Did the Braves actually have their preseason training camp there?

    Odd that more credible leaks have not shown up today...we usually know the schedule by mid-afternoon on the reveal date, making the 8:00pm "announcement" moot.

    My favorite cheap spot was the bus lot...there was always some, or several, hungover sot who missed the bus and the group leader peddled his ticket for beer money for himself. Never paid more than $10 for a bus lot ticket.

    I admire your faith. Only five years ago, I knew every player on the roster...these days, they're rolling out pitchers I never heard of.

    I have a kid at Tech and I watch all of their games...he's a solid player who could definitely make the roster and contribute.

    Single game tickets go on sale the same minute the schedule drops...weird.

    There is talk that DTV will be allowed to broadcast ST, while the streaming rights will go to Apple (as reported). The sports bar issue is indeed one they will need to resolve.

    Very sad news. The Mad Bomber was a huge part of the AFL's success and should be in the Hall of Fame.

    Been researching this for quite some time, and I think YouTubeTV is the best choice, with the only drawback being no History Channel.

    Some shows coming to the DC area I'd like to check out, i.e. Lindsey Buckingham next week, Steely Dan in June, Sting Labor Day weekend. Paul McCartney coming to Baltimore in June but tickets are outrageously high...my neighbor paid $1800 for two tickets and I told him at that price, I hope you're sitting on Sir Paul's lap.

    Respectfully disagree. He talks over the game announcers too much...and goes to highlights while live games are going on. All he has to do is announce where they're going and leave it at that.

    This is the ONE good thing about the DTV lineup... you can go back and forth between the game and Red Zone with one click of the remote. Would hate to have to change apps, YouTubeTV, i.e., to get to Red Zone.
