I know I mentioned Oakland earlier, but their mayor and City Council have been stubborn about using public money on stadiums/arenas. As a result, the Warriors moved across the bay to San Francisco, the Raiders moved to Vegas and the A’s have one foot out the door to Vegas. Apparently the mayor has focused on spending on other needs and despite losing those first two teams, she was re-elected. I guess they don’t have as many sports fans as they used to.

How about this one? When the Raiders moved back to Oakland, the agreement was for major renovations to the stadium. PSLs were sold to pay for them. Then a couple years ago, they said bye-bye. Did the people get their money back or given opportunity to continue in Vegas?

If they next sign a solid starting CB, the draft will be about depth and the future. I just can’t see going into the season with Dane Jackson and a rookie, although many rookie DBs start immediately and do well.

I’m an A’s fan and this season is going to be ugly. Another snag on the new stadium, too. I believe the odds are moving back towards Vegas.

I found it interesting IIRC when Mack returned to Buffalo with the Bears in 2018 and was asked how he felt coming back to where he played college ball, he didn’t want to talk about it.

Worst case was when he said he wasn’t involved in decision to fire Rex Ryan and then was sent out to talk to the press.

It cracks me up that the trade is for Watson, so the Browns give up all these picks but also ask for a 2024 5th round pick? This was similar to the Russell Wilson trade where the Seahawks got back a 2022 4th round pick. Was this using the leverage of the deals to get something more? It’s not like either team is not going to make the deals because of those picks.
