  1. I would love it if Pegula pursued some big names and went all out recruiting a top candidate like they did when they went to Saskatchewan to convince Regher to agree to sign and trade. Let's see, they hired up-and-coming Tim Murray as GM but brought back a retread from the 90's as coach. Marv Levy is too old now, so maybe they bring back the last coach to take the Bills to the playoffs, Wade Phillips. The hiring would be contingent on Phillips agreeing to wear a headset and to hire legit NFL experienced assistant coaches.
  2. Is it really a crap stadium? I graduated 35 years ago (Holy Crap!) so I only attended games at the old Main St stadium which was probably worse than many high school stadiums. I know I saw the new arena at the Amherst campus when I was back for a visit but I don't know if I ever saw the stadium. They were favored by 13 pts so I was surprised to see the final score.
  3. The Bills were tied with the Pats for 1st in turnover +/- at +6 going into yesterday's game so it hadn't been that big of a problem before yesterday.
  4. Sorry to have to correct you, but I believe it's "friggin' Lonnie Johnson!" It's almost like Ralph directed that the team would never use another high pick on a TE after Tony Hunter was a bust from the 1983 draft. Remember 2010: Torrel Troup (remember him?) taken before Gronk!
  5. Actually, in my view, over the years there have been several WTF picks (Eric Flowers, Maybin, trade up for McCargo, Whitner over Ngata, Spiller when you already have a RB and have other holes, EJ at 16, trade up to take TJ Graham as 3rd rounder when projected as 5th round pick, Roscoe Parish, etc.) that were failures where the Bills picks could've been better if they used someone's mock draft. The history of this team's management has not been a situation of "everyone misses on a couple".
  6. So much for that USC education!
  7. But remember last year they came up with the brilliant idea of not only throwing an extensive playbook at EJ but also trying to play fast. They eventually slowed things down and streamlined the plays. So at the start of training camp we hear that they modified the offense and early on felt they were throwing too much at EJ. Duh! Then they said they were going to try and play fast again. They sure weren't setting him up to succeed. I guess if they play faster he doesn't have time to think and just reacts but that didn't seem to work.
  8. So Da'Rick was Da'runk and then Da'ropped?
  9. The NFL needs to reconsider these Thursday night games with a short week of preperation and the impact on game quality. Scores for the Thursday night games for the 1st 4 weeks: Week 1- Seattle 36, Green Bay 16 Week 2- Baltimore 26, Pittsburgh 6 Week 3- Atlanta 56, Tampa Bay 14 Week 4- NY Giants 45, Washington 14
  10. So, that leaves them with only 3 safeties. I guess they could shift Graham over if needed?
  11. I think, as has been discussed before, that they could either keep the stadium name and sell the rights to name the field or vice versa. For example, the Denver Broncos stadium/field is named Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Superdome retained it's name but added the Mercedes-Benz to the beginning.
  12. The GM of the Golden State Warriors, Bob Myers, was an agent before getting this job and has done quite well. It helps though that Jerry West is a consultant for the team.
  13. Jermichael Finley is still out there but I heard a couple of teams (Seattle) passed on him because of his contract demands. I'm sure injuries to a team's starting TE, such as Cincy's Eifert and the Brown's J.Cameron, could lead to someone meeting his demands.
  14. Those "go up and get it" catches by Woods and Mike Williams were awesome. Should've put a smile on Buddy's face.
  15. The best thing to do is not listen. Poor ratings is the only way you get rid of those clowns!
  16. Happy Birthday TC!! That decision by the refs brought back memories of "just give it to 'em!"
  17. Kid? He said he saw OJ play in 1978. That was 36 years ago. By the way, you should've used "know" instead of "no" in the highlighted sentence.
  18. Sounds like a good name for a linebacker.
  19. Hello, Doug Whaley!! Get Kyle Orton's agent on the phone!! Geez!! The hell with worrying about EJ's confidence. He seems pretty confident since he thought he did well yesterday.
  20. Got me, butthead! Isn't it time to put an end to this?
  21. And guys like Chris Kelsay. I never understood the team's fascination with him and signing him to extensions for pretty good money before his contract was up when he was only an average player.
  22. And the only QB to lead the Buffalo Bills to league championships, Jack Kemp, was consistently UNDER 50%. I know it was a different game back then but just saying.
  23. Yeah, Legursky was horrible on Friday. He supposedly is nursing an injury so then why have him out there with all the linemen currently on the roster. Fighting for his job I guess but losing with that performance.
  24. And the Pats like Mallett so much, they spent a 2nd round pick on Garoppolo.
