  1. OK Where is all of this Nix history come from?? He's never been a GM. He was a scout. Unless you were in the San Diego war room when they made their picks, there's no way to know what involvement Nix had in the Chargers' picks.
  2. Now Erik Flowers was definitely a reach as nobody else had him projected as a 1st rounder. That being said, even if he was projected as a 2nd or 3rd rounder, he was a bust based on his lack of productivity.
  3. And there is WAY too much emphasis put on measurables when the key item is "Can the guy make plays!!!"" I don't think Gallery's problems are due to his arms being one inch shorter than the average LT. Geez. We're not talking boxing here.
  4. No, D'wan Edwards had a neck injury in '08 but played all of '09.
  5. You're right on. That's why I say no to Clausen since he has question marks. Too many 1st round QBs are busts. I don't think it's worth the risk.
  6. I can't find an article I previously read which showed average arm lengths among the NFL LTs and Bulaga's arms were only I believe a 1/4 inch below the average. C'mon, that's not going to make much difference.
  7. Wow, the Nesser family had 6 brothers playing back in the 1920's. In modern times, there are 4 Browner brothers. List shows only 3 kicking Zendejas brothers but there had to be 4, with Tony being the most successful. Maybe they left him off due to his rape accusation?? However, when I looked up Max, it says Alex is a nephew??
  8. And another non-aggressive approach by Jauron not mentioned was the number of times they took possession late in the 1st half with plenty of time to mount a drive and they just ran out the clock.
  9. That was my 1st reaction, but the new staff needs to ignore the Maybin selection and evaluate what they have for their 3-4 defense. Right now you have a bunch of players penciled in at positions they haven't played. If Schobel retires, you have Kelsay, Ellis, Maybin (and Ellison?) as outside LBs and Edwards (only one to play a 3-4), S.Johnson and Stroud as DEs. Morgan wouldn't be my preference but I'd understand it. I agree they need to focus on offense, for which they've only added C.Green, Chad Jackson and 2 no-name RBs.
  10. Yes, for those that don't think the Skins O-line was bad, they started 2 Buffalo castoffs in Derrick Dockery & M.Williams. It makes me laugh when people say "the guys who work for NFL teams know more than we do". You have different levels of people in any type of work. Some lazy, who don't research things. How much atttention did the Skins management pay to how lousy Dockery was with the Bills when they signed him to a multiyear deal after we let him go?? Niners fans out here were excited when they signed Jonas Jennings and I just laughed. Unfortunately for them, it wasn't any different with him with SF and actually I thinked he missed more games per year.
  11. Al Davis looks pretty bad too!! He's been using a walker the last couple seasons and I heard he didn't make it all of their games. He's still apparently in charge.
  12. Lande also likes Levi Brown of Troy and also thinks "Anthony Davis would be a home run pick for the Bills"
  13. I suppose Jauron & company would've used the 1st round pick on yet another DB. LOL!!
  14. I like Tebow in the 2nd. I don't care about him playing in a spread offense & his delivery. The guy is a winner. It is very impressive that he worked so hard on his delivery before his pro day. Different from some of the prima donnas as QBs. I would rather have a guy who knows how to win than a guy who is supposedly pro ready but hasn't won consistently. I know it's a team game but the QB is the leader of the team. Don't want to start up one of those QB controversy discussions, but Doug Flutie was lacking some of the attributes of the prototypical NFL QB but the guy knew how to win. Jeff George (he of the million dollar arm and $.50 brain) is the best example of the hyped physical charcteristics being overshadowed by some of his lesser non-physical attributes.
  15. I did a search on him & came across a YouTube video of him saying he loved Buffalo. It showed him at an Applebee's (no entourage, just hanging with the employees.). Then it showed him at Dave & Buster's. The video was from 2007.
  16. I agree. This supports drafting an offensive lineman who can help a ball-control running game and protect the QB's backside when they do pass. And that's what was wrong with running the Tampa 2 Defense with smaller, supposedly quicker players. You just have to think back to that Cleveland game in the snow storm where our "quick" guys were basically useless.
  17. Now, it sounds like the spread offense was what he did in KC with Thigpen, right??!! When he was head coach of Dallas, what did they run?? Did he run the spread with Thigpen to take advantage of his skills?? We don't know how any of the current 3 QBs would do in a spread. I only know that Edwards didn't play in a spread offense with Stanford. Anyone know what Brohm played in at Louisville?? Obviously Tebow has run a spread. Also, McCoy.
  18. Nope. It's going to be the Patriots. Book it. Save it!! Rack it!! Whatever!!
  19. Note that I live in California, maroon!! Oakland has one of the worst crime rates in the country. I was just saying that wuth Lynch's behavior, maybe there was more to that incident than known.
  20. Levy & company said they did due-diligence and were confident it was not a big deal?? Maybe there was more to it. Lynch did grow up in Oakland.
  21. The rumor for about a week has been Lynch for a player.
  22. If they truly can get Gaithier for a 2nd and J.Campbell for a 4th, I believe that is the way to go. Then they can use the 1st pick on the Best Available player.
