  1. This is very true and may have contributed to Chad NOT ending up with the Bills. Uncle Jim may have been around for advice but there may have been too much pressure playing for the same team.
  2. And that's one of the reasons why he doesn't work for an NFL team and just writes about them. The Bills QB position right now is a competition. Counting today they've only had 5 practices. They need to see how these 3 guys perform in a couple preseason games before making a sound decision.
  3. Caps for the little man. It's not a new market though of team logos on condoms.
  4. No kidding? I was at a resort in the Himalayas for a high level business meeting with Savior Peterman. We watched the game using one of those big satellite dishes.
  5. So much for Buffalo public schools.
  6. Yeah, if you watch a rugby match, they aren't wearing helmets and tackle without using their heads. The game is different though as you don't have a safety or linebacker coming at full speed from several yards behind the line. Still, the NFL players just have to adjust. I think, while helmets and shoulder pads have provided more protection, they have also provided weapons. A defender without a helmet isn't likely to use his head to tackle.
  7. That was a critique going into the draft.
  8. Yeah, I’d rather have a Cassell or Kevin Kolb type that would definitely start the season.
  9. Yep, and the team had a lot of pressure (heavily on themselves) in the last 2 after losing the first 2. Only us Bills fans will remember that the score of SB 27 was 14-10 late in the first half with the Bills in the red zone. Kelly gets dinged, stays in the game, and lobs the ball into the end zone for Big Pete M, only to be picked off. Two big passes make it 21-10, then another turnover on a play that knocks Kelly out for the game and it starts totally unraveling at 28-10. Then in SB27, the Bills played a very good 1st half but the Thurman fumble, which only tied the game, deflated the team. I'll admit, after that one, in hindsight I was somewhat glad there wasn't a fifth in a row.
  10. I was surprised that no new TE talent was brought in. It's an average group at best although lean more towards mediocre. Yet, for a DL group that is strong and deep, they keep bringing guys in.
  11. And he got rid of his dreds. NFL Network showed him and he said since he turned 25 it was time to get rid of them.
  12. Math isn't required for a journalism degree I guess.
  13. So, will Lawson then get traded later in the preseason for a 4th round pick?
  14. until
Preseason game #1 vs Carolina at Home. 7:00 PM ET. WKBW TV.
  15. Yeah, but despite Tyrod’s mobility, he took a lot of sacks because he held onto the ball too long. If Daboll implements a short quick passing game that the QB is successful with, it could compensate for a potentially weaker O-line
  16. LOL at fan in foreground with Peterman jersey! Hope he didn't pay full price!
  17. He did well vs some 2nd rate OTs and offenses. He too often was held in check. Miami’s Webb owned him. I recall too many times where an OT pushed him beyond the pocket so he was way out of the play. He didn’t have a counter move.
  18. I don't usually watch the ESPYs so I know little about most other speeches, but, to me, Jimbo's ranks right up there with Jimmy V and Craig Sager.
  19. Super Bowl 27-. got really drunk/depressed with that performance SB 28-. after that one, I knew I could not mentally or physically handle a 5th straight loss
  20. Yep, still gave me goosebumps. "The autumn wind is a pirate..."
  21. No, 10 team league with 18 roster spots, and it wasn’t even the same team that drafted McCoy. Strange draft. This league has 2 starting QBs. Strangest pick was likely a Niners fan taking Garappolo with the 3rd pick. Another team picked 4 QBs in the 1st 7 rounds.
  22. Number 6 seems about right. A lot of talented youngsters. You definitely have to put L. Bell and Gurley ahead of him and probably David Johnson. McCoy then in a group with Elliott, Gordon and maybe Hunt. I had a fantasy football draft on Sunday (Yes, I know, way too early!) and saw the effect of the accusations related to McCoy. He lasted until the 47th pick, whereas last year I took him with the 7th pick. C. Ivory was also taken in the later rounds.
